@@TheModelGuy I needed some masks for some wheels I am painting on a 427 Cobra. There is a thin inner and outer ring that stays aluminum color on the wheel. I wasn’t sure how accurate the Silohouette would be but I am pretty impressed. Looking forward to using this for aircraft emblems in the future. Was wondering if canopy masks would work too.
I bought a cameo 4 on ebay but it didn't come with the cutting mat. There are 3 types of tack, standard, light and strong. Which one should I get? Thanks
Wow. Thanks sooooo much! I think I’ll get one of these machines! So much potential for “decal” variety!
Going to clarify that the masks are available to all Patrons at $1 per month. Not per day like I said. I don’t work for Worldvision
That was much appreciated! Clear and concise, and looking forward to trying my hand at some masks.
Excellent tutorial Robbie. I learned a few things I had no idea of (and will have to learn again when I am ready to make my masks).
A very apt and informative video....great job with the explanation, simple and to the point. Thanks for sharing.
Very informative. Ive been wanting s Silhouette or Cricut for a while. Thanks.
I’m hoping the basics here help people out. Cut settings seems to be the biggest challenge
awesome never seen this explained so well..appreciate it
I’m glad it helps out !
Excellent video, subbed to you my friend. I will be purchasing one of these machines
Could you use the big sheets of Tamiya masking tape for stencils?
I’ve used those too. Just set the blade to washi tape as it’s a lot thinner
Thanks! Got my masks right on the silhouette portrait first time thanks to this video!
That's awesome to hear! What are you painting?

Got this link from the Model Mojo guys. Great job .
Thanks Larry! What are you masking up?
@@TheModelGuy Arma P 51 Do you think its worth getting the pro version of the software?
I'm thinking to buy the silhouette portrait 3 for my masks!
It's this ok for this job ?
That’s what I am using!
Thanks for your fast reapply
And also thanks for your amazing tutorials
Keep going 🎉
@@supersonicboom4990 no problem!
Brilliant tour de force information
Which machine model was used ?
Where do you get your Oramask 810 in the US? I cannot find it anywhere, just 813!
I’m in Canada and only know the places up here.
@@TheModelGuy Road trip! Thanks
I use 813 & have No Problem with it 💯

I use the standard mat for my cutter. I leave the vinyl on the backing as well.
@@TheModelGuy Thanks so much
Which blade do you use?
Is this the base silhouette software, or the paid upgrade version? This impacts svg import?
This is the base version.
Would the cheaper machines be able to do this as well? Just looked at the Cameo and from what I can see its $550 Canadian dollars.
I had a Cricut before and it struggled with small fonts and squares due to not having the over-cut option
Very interesting
For modelers who do not have the money to purchase computer or cutter equipment are these stencils for sale anywhere? Thank you
Many producers make vinyl masks for insignia.
👉This video really helped me 1st time I was trying to do a mask of similar size & shape!💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Brilliant
*Thanks for this tutorial!*

New Russian dance music: you heard it here first booooooooiz
Cool.
No wonder I was having problems. I treated this like drafting software, which didn't work. Next time I'll import the crosses and swastickers.
9:44 I don’t get today’s music…
Just needs a bass drop

Thanks for dummies approach!🤣

Yeah... make it simple... so simple. If i could afford it i would rather buy ready masks.
