Parker and Zhang deserve the fight against Dubois more than AJ. He should fight Wilder, Whyte or Miller in the interim.

That’s a bad matchup, and it showed.. it’s not like Ruiz who got a lucky shot in the right spot. Dubois was wayyy too strong. Even punches through AJ’s defense were taking a toll
@@richs4358 He was manhandling roughhousing AJ and made him look like a middleweight. His basic jabs were rocking AJ's head back and leaving him spooked. Dubois' strength and punching power are ridiculous.
What AJ needs at this point is the must lucrative option at this point. Daniel Dubois exposed AJ and diminished his punch resistance further. I think AJ should cash out against Tyson fury because I believe it will generate the must revenue.

Just cash out on Fury and hang up the gloves. He still has a bright future as an actor and magazine model so I don't understand why he is still clinging on to boxing.
AJ should not have the option to fight Dubois in my opinion. There are other boxers that have waited and deserve their turn first. I'm sick of matchroom fighters consistently being given rematches every time they lose.

AJ should get out again in the first quarter of next year and fight Wilder. That's the fight that makes sense for him next, in my opinion. It's still a big fight and and It's an exciting fight with both AJ and Wilder's styles. Someone is getting knocked out. If not Wilder, a rematch with Whyte.

If we say a fighter should retire for health reasons, then I think we should not only look at the physical but also the possible psychological effects. I mean if you look at fury for example, he clearly didn't enjoy the time having nothing really to do while he "retired". If you suddenly have no goals and nothing to do, this can lead to some mental challenges. So when we talk about AJ, retiring could do him more harm than staying in the game for a while longer. Especially when he says that he is still passionate about the game and has a lot left.
But also for other fighters the mental effects of retirement should be considered as well.
Time really isn’t on AJ’s side, get Dubois now before he gets better. AJ is champion material and has the experience under his belt. The rematch clause is there, if I were him I’d trigger it and really study what went wrong in that fight. Should be easier to figure out compared to the Usyk defeat. Learn from when Lennox beat Hasim Rahman in the rematch after being Ko’d. They were all roughly the same age

I agree. AJ first and foremost goal should be taking Dubouis rematch. Reason is simple - heavyweight championship belt. Other reasons include restoring honor and status he had. If he would not take this fight and run with his tail tucked between legs, it would not be a disgrace. I believe that AJ is a warrior and he can come back. In the end it is his decision and I wish him health and luck!
Provided Fury loses, AJ and Fury could be made and would be massive (regardless of the outcome of a potential Joshua/Dubois 2). In the event that somehow Joshua beats Dubois in a rematch prior to that, he then has a rightful claim to challenge the unified heavyweight champ, whoever it is, so (other than retiring which would be the smart choice) taking a Dubois rematch is probably a decent idea, at least financially

For the first time I think he should not go for the immediate rematch even though I was a big advocate for it the first two times - he should just fight some good names that put him in good esteem and then call it a day after 3 fights….a Zhang, a Hrgvoic, a Kabayel.
All three are quite winnable in fashion (my opinion) and are well regarded names if he gets three wins like that and calls it a day I wouldn’t be mad.

It's weird to say, as he got outclassed in their last fight, but I think AJ actually has a much higher ring IQ and better technique than Danial Dubois. But because he's actually quite smart he over thinks things and struggles to adapt because of that. But given the right game plan he should be able to beat Danial but it would be a hard fought victory because Dubois is so incredibly fit! So despite the one sided loss I can see why he believes in his abilities.
AJ vs Fury is still a big fight in the UK, regardless if they both have losses, it's for bragging rights. AJ should not fight Dubois again, unless he's going to step into the fire, boxing on the outside won't work, Dubois just wants to take his head off. If I'm Dubois I'm waiting for Usyk, I want those belts. There is so many options in the HW div.

Why would it be the end for AJ if he loses to Dubois again?? Imagine....if he lost...then carried on boxing....and 2 years down the line, he still is boxing amazingly...the belts have been scattered....and he gets his chance once more to be a world champion? Wilder - Even though he isn’t the same fighter anymore, and if AJ was to lose again, it would actually make this fight even more interesting
Whyte - This rivalry has always been great, and it’s one each at the moment so we need to see the decider
Ruiz - Ruiz hasn’t looked that great recently so again a third fight would be fantastic I’d watch it
Miller - we have to see Miller face the landlord!! It would be amazing
I also think that he could still win the rematch with Dubois 🤷🏻♂️

On the AJ point, even if he loses to Dubois a second time, it’s not “it” “it” as you’ve mentioned Ade. Fury will lose to Usyk and that Joshua-Fury fight will be both’s farewell to the sport fight.

If it’s all about money, it’ll obviously be the fury fight. It’s about Legacy to get to undefeated he needs to put the wrong right and attempt to be Dubois. Let’s see if he’s got the minerals to take on board that legacy challenge, I hope so, but it’s gonna be a tough fight
AJ lacks ONE thing only: Aggression. If he had that, he would probably clear up.
AJ can only beat Duboi, Fury or Usyk if he doesn’t fear being hit, let his hands go and withstand combinations. Even me that’s not professional now knows that AJ goes down in the face of aggressive combinations. He suffered from this against Ruiz, Germaine Franklin and Robert Helenius gave him tough times because of this and Dubois just made it so obvious in their last fight. He made a big mistake not fighting Hrgovic much earlier because his styles works perfectly against such slow one punch fighter.
However, I feel he should go straight for Dubois, fight him like he’ll never fight again and he’ll surely win. Dubois is easier for him than Fury in my opinion.
Actually it would be better if Tyson Fury won and then faced AJ fight, rather than him losing- and having match between two fighters who both have lost. But....he should wait to see what happens and fight Fury only if Fury wins the world title and if Fury loses, then fight Dubois instead.
If Fury beats Usyk, you could have:
Fury vs AJ- winner fighting Usyk. +
Dubois vs Parker,
If Fury loses then:
AJ vs Dubois for world title- winner fights Fury.
Either way- two conditions need to be met
1.AJ vs Fury needs to happen
2. But it should only be for a world title.
