Excellent reaction to an amazing song. Watching the live performance was bitter-sweet knowing that the drummer Paul Hester took his own life in 2005 due to depression. Their 2007 album "Time on Earth" is dedicated to their dear friend.
Their entire catalog is superb. The Beatles are #1 for me, Neil Young #2. But from 1986 through the 1990s I couldn't get enough of the melodic and colorful Crowded House. Great stuff!
Nice to see someone taking a little deeper dive into an artist's catalog. Not sure what this song means - if anything - but it has some of my favorite Neil Finn lines in it (Color is its own reward is a line that stands out to me). I like Neil's intro to the live version, too, like here's a tune to sit back and drift away to. Something about this track transports you to a unique place where this tune and its vibe exist Time to sit back and listen to your reaction!
Fantastic reaction Shawn, as always😊💙 Love your take on the "while the mad dog sleeps" line. 'Together Alone' is an amazing album...I think you might like other songs from it too ("Distant Sun" which was a big hit in some countries, "Kare Kare," "Private Universe," "Nails in My Feet," "Catherine Wheels"...)
Shawn I really like your reactions especially when you do music from the ‘70s and ‘80s. There are so many bands from that time. Please check out one is Life During Wartime by Talking Heads Live. They have an amazing catalog ❤thanks to

The Farewell to the World concert attracted a crowd of greater than 100,000 people, with some estimates of 250,000 people in attendance. 😮
