This really really true! I was once crazy of a guy like it was an obsession. I think of him all day, hoping he was thinking of me the same level. But I knew he wasn't. And it was draining me for years. And finally, thru God's grace I was able to get of that misery and not thinking of him anymore, guess what? He's the one obsessing about me now. I don't know how it happened and why but that's what I experienced.
Same happened with me. I was chasing my ex for years and as soon as I said “screw it I’m not gonna chase anymore,” she is literally crazy about me now. I noticed when we start seeing each other and I start feeling attached again and start showing a bit extra interest, it’s like she starts to pull back a bit. The more interest I show, the more she pulls away. But if I stay in my own frame and not chase whatsoever, she’s literally crazy about me. I swear it’s so precise that it’s clear to me as day that it’s all about not putting no importance on them and not needing them.

I had a credit card payment due and feared I had missed the due date which would impact my ability to buy a house. I kept on worrying about it in the back of my mind and when I logged in to pay I had to go through security steps as I recently changed my phone number. Instead of taking action, I used this as an opportunity to procrastinate until I forgot about it completely. I ended up paying the card late and it ruined my credit score having severe impacts on buying a house 3 months later. I cared so much that I sabotaged everything. Such a paradox and life lesson. The solution is not detachment, but quiet confidence. Yes, I have since setup autopay. ;) First time in my life I paid anything late.

I won a trip to Mexico on the radio because I was hearing someone talk about going and thinking I would love to but being a single mom I didn’t know how it could happen….So I would just have to win one…thought it put it out there didn’t think about it again…couple of months later called and was the 20th caller…went to Cancun for free! I did a vision board on an app put what I wanted and didn’t look at it again and got all the things I put on it against all the odds!

You using that Ariana song was unexpected but did help explain this concept perfectly 😄. Its come at a perfect time because I have been in a state of wanting to meet my soulmate and wondering why I haven't met them yet and when and even if I will especially lately, but I oscillate between thinking I'm never going to meet them and 'they already exist, they're out there, it's going to be so natural ', which does make me feel better but it's hard to stay in that vibe. I place a very high degree of importance on meeting the one which then gives me anxiety which prevents me from dating and probably completely messes up my vibe from being ready and open to being fearful, anxious, closed off. Coincidentally, Ive seen the photos of Taylor Swift going on first dates with that football player and I thought well look, she's a huge star willing to be vulnerable and getting to know someone in front of the world without taking the very early days of dating so seriously.. And she has more to fear if he humiliated her or gets with someone else at the same time, etc. So I can certainly not take it so seriously, place SO much importance on it. What's funny is I then saw Drew Barrymore say almost the exact same thing, that she was overthinking dating and that seeing Taylor just go with it inspired her to date again 😂
