Good question haha. I think what you are looking for would still be labeled “stenchcore”. There is a lot of sound variation in that sub genre. Basically, crust went two ways in the late 80s. Stenchcore is the more metal influenced crust. The more hardcore sounding stuff just gets labeled “crust”. It’s kind of complicated because both sub genres are still called “crust” haha. I would suggest googling “best stenchcore bands Reddit” or something like that. Like I said before there is a lot of variation and you will probably find what you are looking for eventually. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but here are a few examples: Classic: Deviated Instinct, Sacrilege Middle Ages: Instinct of Survival, Extinction of Mankind Current: Nocturnal Scum, Terminal Filth Hopefully this helps you start your journey. Lots of good and lots of bad bands out there
