I absolutely love the colour scheme of the tube trains and believe they make them gorgeous. I can't believe they went a different route for the crossrail trains.

Thank you very much for this excellent introduction to all LUL lines, infrastructure and rolling stock differences that i now could understand even better than on my short first visit to the capital of UK days ago relying on Victoria line to travel between Euston train station and the boroughs of Westminster and Lambeth.
I’ve been on the London Underground! I have been on almost every single line (except the London Overground if that counts). My favourite line is the Jubilee Line, because it reminds me of my favourite Underground Ernie character: Jubilee. Because he reminds me of myself.
the London overground isn't a part of the London Underground however it is still part of TFl(Transport for London) so it still only runs through London.

They both have the oldest stock making the Most Nostalgic sound . Thats why I prefer them, too . Unfortunately WE cant hear it anymore on District line like in this Video due to the Replacement of its stock.

In a sense yes, most lines are deep level but thr Circle, District, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan lines are subsurface i.e. just below street level. Thanks for watching.
Sort of! The original line was cut and cover like most of New York, which eventually allowed for larger stock. Many reasons lead to the later system of deep level (up to 200 feet below street) tubes that followed, which are smaller diameter. The system is totally integrated meaning seamless travel for passengers across the network ect but tubes are distinctly different to sub surface stock and obviously sub surface stock cant fit deep level tube track while the reverse isnt true and tubes can roll anywhere if required on the system (now watch some tube buff correct me!)
