You mentioned that the pars met Everton & Valencia in European competition but not that after defeating Everton in the second round they came from 0:4 down in the first leg to beat Vanencia 6:2 in the home leg to force a play off (highlights of the 6:2 game available on UA-cam ). Valencia won the playoff 1:0 and went on to win the Inter Cities fairs cup.
Visited and watched a match at all the Scottish League clubs over a 5 season period during the nineties, commuting from the West County finishing up at East Fife. Visited several other Clubs after that achievement and I have to say the whole undertaking was great fun.
I've been to East End Park once with Tranmere in a pre-season friendly a few years back. It's the only Scottish ground I've been to so far. A very friendly club.

When Raith played the Bayern replay, it was at Hibs ground. That night, I bumped into Franz Bechenbauer. Such a gentleman. Furthermore, East Fife’ Scottish Cup winner Sammy Stewart was a janitor at Pinkie School playing fields. At Musselburgh Grammar School summer game; pupils versus teachers, he put on his cane reinforced “large” shin pads (from his era) quick warm up; …….he ran rings round us & we had the best team in the county. He must have been about 50 by then. Lovely guy.
Starks Park & Raith had one of the very earliest mentions in crowd control when Farmer Stark released his bull onto the pitch to clear the crowd off the pitch.
One Sunday afternoon I got back on the drink after a heavy Saturday night. Met up with a mate along the road from East End Park at The Lizzie. It turned into a balmy summers evening. After many libations I started to walk back towards town past my beloved Dunfermline Athletics home ground when I saw the side gate was open....I took my chance. Running up and down the pitch, scoring wonder goals with an invisible ball, celebrating to the invisible crowd. Sitting in the dug out, lying on the centre spot, generally waiting to be told to get the f**k out, which never happened (I guess the groundsmen had gone home) The Sun set over the North West corner of the stadium. Had to sneak out the back of the ground. Oh and I was 30 years old. Would recommend. Mon' The Pars!!

Cowdenbeath is used for stock car racing as someone has probably already said. Probably gets more fans than the football ;) I've never actually been to a game in Fife but I've seen three of the teams play St Mirren away back in the day. Best thing I heard about a Fife team was from that 1995 game between Raith and Bayern, where Jurgen Klinsmann said that when the draw happened they spent ages looking for Raith on a map :D (in the event the home leg was played at Easter Road anyway).
I’m a dunfernline fan, great video. Our main rivals there are Raith rovers and it would probs be worth me mentioning that although we got beaten by four goals in Valencia, in the second leg of the tie we beat Valencia 6-2. That was in 1962
My team Raith Rovers have a record of the most goals scored in a British season the 1937/38 season with 142 goals in a season there was 34 games played that season it is still a record till this day love your videos from Kirkcaldy Fife Scotland 🏴 keep up the good 😌 work
Good to see my team, Raith, get a looking! However you forget to mention that Raith won the challenge cup in 2014 against Rangers which just happened to be nearly 20 years later when they beat Celtic in the League Cup with Rovers being perhaps the only Fife team to beat both sides of the Old Firm in a final. We would've been playing in our second Challenge Cup final with Inverness last season had Covid not struck but who knows when it might come around. With us making a good start in the league, as well as being subscribed to you, hopefully we can go all the way and return to the Premiership! 😃
They seem like a class team! It's always hard to fit all the team's history in when there's so much to cover. Definitely need to come back for some matches once bans are lifted etc. Best of luck for the season. Was really impressed by the stadium.

He told me a story about he had a bet with one of his pals about the outcome of a Pars match not for money but Pies, the Pars won 7-1 and after the third pie my Dad called the bet off because he couldn’t face eating anymore....

Excellent video.. east end park is the best ground in Scotland, but I would say that being a pars fan :-) all 4 stadiums have there own unique character. Lovely of the starks park staff to let you in..

I used to film the games and post match interviews at this stadium for work experience during my studies!! I actually interviewed Barry Smith, ex Dundee manager, who took Dundee on a huge undefeated spell during administration in the championship division, previously known as the "1st division". My team beat Raith that day 😉

Just seen this and glad to see you got into East End home of the Pars we won the Scottish Cup twice in 1961 and 68 runner up in 65 and lost the top league title in 65 by 1 point. There used to be film of a game between Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline on Utube which was played about 100 years ago. The quality of the recording was remarkably good as was the behaviour of the spectators many of them still black from their shift down the pit. Unfortunately l can't find it anymore.
1969 My first football match was at Starks Park. I was nine. We stood down the front by the goal posts. A crazy lady with loads of badges and rattles etc. Gave me a whistle. She said I that I '' should blow it really hard.' So I did Of course the Ref stopped the match and came over.

The Cowdenbeath stadium is home to stock cars which are basically racing cars The reason they have the track around the pitch is because they use the racing for more money which they are allowed to.
Cowdenbeath also been used for stock car racing it was owned by Gordon McDougal who was a past f2 world champion. They moved the stock car racing from newtonGrange fc

The Cowdenbeath stadium is home to stock cars which are basically racing cars
The reason they have the track around the pitch is because they use the racing for more money which they are allowed to.
Cowdenbeath also been used for stock car racing it was owned by Gordon McDougal who was a past f2 world champion. They moved the stock car racing from newtonGrange fc

Haha, that's a dream for a Scotsman, but I'm actually English. Would still love to see that stadium though. World famous the Azteca. I always remember the shadow that would be on the pitch from the stadium. Mexico one day for sure!
