I’m glad I live in Canada where even the poorest people matter and, if they’re murdered, the police try their best to bring about justice. It’s not a perfect system but it’s a lot better than many countries in the world.
Wow. I’m gonna disagree with you there. Robert Pickton case, Highway of Tears and our recent case here in Winnipeg with serial killer Jeremy Skibicki to name a few. In the latter case, he was convicted in 2024 for the murder of 4 indigenous women who he killed in 2022, but 2 of the bodies have never been recovered. It’s only this month, due to government pressure and outrage from the indigenous community, that it has been agreed upon to search the landfill for the remaining two women. IMO if these were white women this delay would never have been an issue. Here in Winnipeg and Manitoba in general, it’s been a long time coming, but I think things are only now beginning to change.
Tell that to the victims of Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka or the parents of Andrew Bagby or Tori Staffords parents when they found out Terri Lynne was at some lodge instead of prison when she'd admitted to hitting that poor little girl with the hammer. The comment about the indigeIndigenous tion is also true. Why has the highway of tears killer never been caught? Amber Tuccero recorded his voice! If it was white girls from the suburbs going missing I'm sure he'd have been caught by now. I'm not indigenous I'm Scottish but have a lot of Canadian family and they're appalled at the justice system.
Stupid Canada justice system all 3 are already out they should have never gotten out. We need a change here. Kudos to the hard working cops who found her that’s a very hard test looking in a landfill and figuring out who she was. They sent her fingerprints here to Winnipeg where I am.
I watched Dear Zachary and that was enough to tell me what a joke the Canadian "justice" system it not to mention the fact Karla Homolkas walking free. That would be like the British justice system keeping Ian Brady in prison and letting Myra Hindley go free. The UK system has become just as bad and it's scary.
Who's the "goof," now? How ironic that this Sarah person kills someone else for snitching to cops about drugs - and then turns on her co-conspirators to those same police, for a crime far worse? No honour among theives.
No it isn’t that bad. Nancy is a crime reporter IN Calgary, that’s why it has a strong Calgary angle. These episodes are based on cases she reported on.
So sad. I remember the early-to late 2000s were insane years, the biker influence at that time lead to a lot of accusations of informants, followed by various forms of violence, torture and murder. Ultimately bully mentality by gangs and street groups. I knew the exact type of people like these sick women, and when they were on hard drugs they would turn pure hateful and psychotic. The manslaughter charge and the fact they only served 8-12 years each is the saddest part
Thank you to the Men and Women who put on their uniform every day to help bring justice for victims and their families. You are heroes who walk among us🩵
Thanks for the analysis! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I can always count on Crime Beat to tell a “story” with facts, respect and compassion.
Truly a miscarriage of justice for the perpetrators to already be free. May the family heal from this tragedy.
Excellent work by officers and investigators

Except our Indigenous community!

@marcy ..Can we stay focused on the topic..

Ugh
Yes they should still be in jail..
@@elbt101it's like a huge slap to the face of the investigators and all the hard work they did and the hours spent investigating the case.
Thoughts are with our first responders who are so dedicated to their work to serve, and protect with dignity. ❤
R.I.P. Racheal and may god bless and be with her children and mother
Beyond imagination! Thanks for bringing it with such commitment 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Our system is so messed up. Go search Sarah Rowe and what the parole board allowed. Ridiculous.
She lives in BC now 😭 you even find her Facebook. She tried to hide her mold mark by make or idk if she got it removed 😭😭

Yes true. At least they can't travel outside of Canada and are stuck in this country forever lmao
Great coverage

The police were undercover though.
Police work hard then criminal judges let them off,no detererent😢 all this with just word of mouth and no body
I'm proud of all the people who came forward 15:05
And then ....
Canadas justice system is a joke. Short sentences for all for the horrific crime they did.
I love this show I normally watch it premiere but tonight was out Christmas hunting 🎄 time for my favorite true crime show !!
this one was crazy. rip man
Wow Brilliant work
Why do so many of these Crime Beat stories take place in Calgary? Is Calgary that violent or is Crime Beat based there?
Calgary is that bad!
Winnipeg is too.

Its true being called a goof were always fighting words back in the day, and also an example of true but dying Canadiana slang

Yeah, what's your point?
Absolutely messed up justice system
Were they stupid enough to leave their handprints, dipped in paint, for the cops to find?
@crimebeat ~ How about saying her name in the description. She is more than a body found. She has a name. It is Ruchael Friars.
