The beauty of Kashmir is augmented by the sheer scale of the landscape. Pristine lakes, lush carpet on the dales and that bouquet of wild flowers nestled between the violently dynamic skies and a idyllic promise of serenity is perhaps what makes this the epitome of Indian destinations. Absolutely stunning!
Watching this video reminds me of the awe-inspiring time I spent in the Kashmir Great Lakes. The pristine lakes, nestled amidst towering peaks, were like a scene from a dream. I captured countless pictures, each one telling a story of tranquility and natural beauty. Joined Orange Jacket Adventure Team for this trek. Mr Vyashakh, my tour guide made that trip even more enjoyable.
Although I heard about the Orange Jacket team, but not joined any trip till now. On the basis of your personal experience, can you let me know whether I should join them or not?
Incredibly beautiful trekking kashmir lakes Applause for these people especially indian girls who don't visits these mountains due to fear of being lost or may be due to low stamina. I have visited more than 11 mountain lakes including TULIAN Lake during 1972 to 1983 . Now I have left kashmir and settled in quebec Canada from last 43 years. This video reminded me my teenage years Love for trekking .
Nice to hear 😊 there are many many women trekking in India now. There are many trekking groups, so there is no such fear of getting lost since there will be guides. They also insist on getting fit for trek and watch out for trekkers health during the trek. So both men and women are in good hands and have a good chance of completing the trek safely 👍
I was also there with my friends in 2018 without any guide and horse, even though we were without cooking gas and we cook our food on fire wood although this trek sans trees ,we were later appreciated by many trekkers including foreign trekkers,
@@SamanvithaRao thank u so much, as i am a solo traveller, i don't do vlogs.. But i like to explore places.. Could u provide me any contact number for the trek?

@@dr.jaganmohanreddy3875 it was customized for our group for our budget. There are a lot of companies that offer the trek at different price points and customized to different levels of facilities. Only the govt has restricted the number of trekkers per day on the trail. So you need to find one that suits you and book ahead of time as this trek fills up fast.
Indiahikes recommendation is as follows: Run at least 5 km in 32 minutes before your trek. Consistency of your workout also matters, so aim to jog 25 km a week or 100 km in a month. It's a minimum mandatory requirement if you wish to trek with us. OR Alternatively, cycle for at least 25 km in 60 minutes. Aim to cycle 125 km a week or 500 km in a month. However, running is better suited for your trek preparation.

There are many trek companies offering this trek. We went with Miles to Trek. Indiahikes, YHAI, Trek The Himalayas also offers it. Cost ranges from 12-16K depending on group size and facilities. Trek is 7 days. It's a moderate-difficult trek with average 11-16kms trekking per day with pass crossing on most days. So good fitness is needed.
There are many organizations that offer this trek.. we went with Miles to trek. They will include pickup and drop in Srinagar. So cost will be reaching Srinagar + cost of trek.
Yes Srinagar is safe for a solo female traveller from what I saw. We stayed on a house boat, they provide food and you won't have to wonder around in town alone. So do look into that. It's not too expensive.
My sister and I are planning on going on this trek next year. My sis says this is a very hard trek as it requires 3 days of steep ascent. Your video looks like there were only soft ascends. Could you please tell me how hard you found it? I am anxious to know how much to improve my fitness.
There are 3 or even 4 days of steep ascent. I was also worried about it. But if you are reasonably fit, slow and steady it is doable. The steep descent on the last day is also not easy.
Hi Samanvitha.. have you travelled with India Hikes? Or this tour is organised by some other tour operating company? Can you give the contact no.of that company.. And your video is absolutely beautiful:) enjoyed every portion of this tour :)

If there is any nearby hilly region, brisk walks there will also help. I mostly trained by walking 10kms a few times a week.
I am planning for this August. Will it be safe to trek around 15 August? Trek I wish to join ends on the 14th August in Srinagar.
