DC represent!!! I've been looking into a folding electric bike for getting around recently and reviews like this one are a huge help. Doing this review in DC is a HUGE bonus!
Bro rolling through Bluemont Park on Nellie Custis Trail? Hey neighbor! Nice review! Basic stats: 20x3 tires / 63lbs / 28-31mph, 440 lb capacity, 608 wh battery, hydraulic brakes. For you spreadsheet jockies out there, this bike is right on the "unicorn" line for weight/speed next to Portola at 59 lbs. The fat tire bikes with 4 inch tires typically are 10+lbs heavier to get the same speed. Fold 1 battery is small though, they will need an upgrade if we're commuting through Rosslyn to get to DC.
would there be display upgrade that shows voltage and power. 9 PAS levels? Needs bigger battery option. Very nice for triple bottle mount for extra battery on front. Plenty of other great features. Is it under 68" long (to fit in elevator)? Sure this is best $1000 folder. But they could also make the best $1500 folder.
9 PAS is too high. My first ebike has 4, eco/standard/sport. And that battery is the the 2nd smallest I've seen ever in a bike, just beating Mars2 by 8 watt hours.
@@ahowl7mx PAS levels means smaller power gaps between each level. It would not mean 5 higher power levels on top of your 4. Absolutely essential for setting speeds between 10 and 30 mph. in 5kmh intervals.
Good review - thank you! Such a pretty bike but MAN that low 120lbs weight rating of the rear rack is such a disappointment! With the overall bike limit over 400lbs, Velotric had a HUGE opportunity to make this an awesome passenger bike. Such an oddly low rating for that rear rack, especially given it's integrated with the frame. You'd think it would be much higher.
Is it stable when you ride it fast? no wobble? I wanna buy it but I'm concern its not very stable because of the folding mechanism in the middle of the bike. Let me know
you can hold down the power button and the plus button for 20 seconds to unlock the max speed to 28 mph. out of the box it is 20mph max. Once you hit that 28mph motor cut off, you can pedal in the highest gear and gain an extra ~5 mph of manual speed.
It’s the same price as the Portola from Ride1Up?? You should not make claims like the “best” of anything. Portola has better quality components like the better hydronic brake and disc as well as Altus shimano shifter. Review more bikes before saying best…
@@ElectricVehicleSpace yeah all my life. Really looking forward to seeing you do your reviews in my hometown. It’s because of you that I’m riding a wallke h6
Bro forgot to cover the charger port before Dunkin in water....🤣 I would've been pissed lol that's very important to the waterproof rating. But i own two of these bikes and they are little Yamaha moped clones love em. But i do find both front handlebar stems have little wobble to them
Read and learn about IP7 ratings and how this test is conducted. Also see my D2 review. Partner, you have a lot to catch up and learn. Luckily you are in the right place. Don't miss that :) Also see Velotric performing this test and hopefully you will trust and accept their engineers results and tests.
Why not? 34mph is pretty fast for a 20" bicycle with a motor!! And we are talking about a $1000 bike here. Most ebikes this price only maxed out to 28mph so it is good to know this bike can do faster!
@@ElectricVehicleSpace I would as well my friend. Based on your comparison, I would have to agree it's lighter than the Lectric XP 3, and it is faster, I would also agree it looks a bit better.
I want this guy to be able to succeed and support their family with this channel
That water proof test was insane

Glad I could help! This ebike is super cool. So much fun and so compact.

That's DC to Tyson Corner trail. You can get a second battery but for what it is I think the range is dope. Also you can go 3rd speed and get more.
@ElectricVehicleSpace 2nd battery, ok thats a great option. Fixes the issue there.

Great review. I ordered one but have to wait about a month to get the blue color.
Use the code to get lower price. I love the blue. Worth the wait.

How can you unlock the higher speeds? Or can you reach 30+ mph right off the box?
you need to unlock your feet in the gym daily. Otherwise 28mph.
@ 😂
So your video title is incorrect?

Wow special road for cycle which country is this ??
United States DC
A lot of the cities build special cycling paths and they're converting a lot of the unused railway lines to multi-use trails.
The throttle only goes to 28mph?
Yes 28mph
Is the handelbar height adjustable?
All info in the video
@@ElectricVehicleSpace just found that it is. It was a long video aha
little boy is saying, what you doing to my new bike
He loves it.
Looks cool and sounds like a Tie Fighter what's not to like 😊
Yeah I'm not sure why people are interested in type of bike that much. This ebike is super compact and fast.
going 25 to 35 is a good speed in the city
Perfect speed range
Did you move to dc?
I am moving soon to DC. Are u in DC?

Nope, sir,

Just a month after this review was published.
New tariffs on China
You're going way too fast around those pedestrians.
Here from Passenger paramveer video, how are you doing?
Your son is so handsome
Thank you! He is so cool 😎 and adorable 😍 loves riding, and even asks to go out in the rain 🌧. He does not care...
Nice
Thanks

Tighten the bolts and it will be perfect. When you fold the stem there is a bolt under. Easy to fix.
Pleas give me e-bike I love to have one but am homeless
you have to earn it.
In my opinion, the trunk should be removable, not welded.
Why? Velotric is not following the trends that all other ebike and bikes manufacturers do and I like that.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace 👏👍
I like it cs u can take a friend home or sum in a pinch
If you're going 30+ mph you should be in the street, not paths, especially with pedestrians
NO BIKE IS WATERPROOF! You are really abusing your property. Also, you are a danger to the people walking on a path, and you pass them at 30 mph.

No sir tern vektron got that bike beat sorry
Tern is super overpriced. I would better buy 5 of these bikes for all my family versus one tern.
No point in talking about an e-bike going only 34 mph in 2024.
You are lost in the sos partner. You family members would not appreciate your wisdom.
@ElectricVehicleSpace That's a lot of words to say nothing. Obviously, you know your thing when it comes to being lost.

Ebikes aren't even supposed to go past 28 mph in 2024. Most don't go past 20, especially with throttle only.
Someone’s getting paid/sponsored by Velotric. 😂
That's definitely I thing I would do with Velotric. Great company and an amazing ebike.

@erickfcc you have to see it in person. I love it! It's my favorite bike to grab and run errands in nyc. Super light, gorgeous, and powerful 😍
Literally every single person reviewing ebikes.
