Some fabulous photos. A reminder we walk this earth for a time and then it's the next person's turn but lovely to get a glimpse what went before. Hope the generations to come will enjoy our physical environment in whatever form that evolves. Hopefully not too overpopulated, not overdeveloped but that's up to them I suppose! 😄
Lisburn rd junction to Malone ave ,Remember the Tudor styled building there.Worked in BP Garage on adjacent corner Lisburn rd service stn Clarence Engineering.
Mm whilst these scenes may evoke fond memories, remember then there was still high unemployment and (it has to be stated) major underlying political problems. And tensions would emerge, with a tragic vengeance, in the early 1960s from those problems: local govt gerrymandering of boundaries, blatent discrimination in housing and in jobs etc.
First class really enjoyed it thank you.🙋🌹
Lovely pictures and beautiful music to accompany them
Thanks ,
Gerry.
Beautiful just beautiful brought tears to my eyes 😥

"at 0.48 Antrim 1949? with a Mini parked. didn't come out till 69" I think the first one came out in 1959.

It's definitely not 1949... I think early 60s maybe?
Great photos and memories, I think thedateis wrong for Antrim 1949, soeor the cars in i weren't made until the 60s
Nice to see old NI, a little puzzled why you chose the 'Phantom of the Opera' as your theme tune?,

Majority of photos are Ireland, the country wasn’t partitioned until 1923. Misleading title
1921.
