The prices, color offerings and a saturation of comments about poor service at so many dealerships doesn't help. I've visited our dealership and only one new model had the wow factor. The Fat Boy. They've literally destroyed the Road King and speculation is that model will be fazed out. Sad. Prices on the higher end models are insane. The majority of people willing to spend 30/40 grand wouldn't be spending it on a motorcycle or any other recreational vehicle. A pretty nice car with good gas mileage can be bought with that kind of money. There's a lot of low mileage bikes out there for no where near what a new one costs with upgrades already made. That's my two cents.

Polaris stock dropped 11% after a profit miss on weak consumer sentiment. This was across their line of ATV's, boats, and motorcycles. Harley announced a new plan to repurchase $1 billion of its outstanding common stock through 2026 in an effort to boost its lagging stock price along with additional cost cutting to boost unit sales margins. Harley is in trouble and using accounting tricks to paper over the lack of demand but the real question is where will the company be in 5 years as the American style cruiser trend is winding down as riders age out. @@m.f.m.67 that’s what I said! And to be honest all the corporate stores I been to in Ohio look like this. Only the couple small hold out dealers struggle to get bikes but that’s because they are pretty much on consignment from the dealer unless they are a big volume shop
They won't deal on price, I was in there looking at a CVO Street Glide, I asked the salesperson "will you sell this at MSRP" his response was "No" I will not even buy an oil filter from them, too many good dealers a round, like Southeast and Hales just to name a couple
I’d love the 24s, but I think they have some electronic bugs that need to be worked out. I agree the bike prices are kinda high and interest rates really suck! Have to wait till next year anyway.
Sales are down across the board with motorcycles with virtually every brand has a drop in sales on the most expensive bikes. The problem for HD is that they mainly sell high end bikes and the buyers aren’t out there for them . The CVO range used to be sold before they arrived in the showroom now they sit in the showroom and there are dealerships having to discount them to get them shifted some still have 2023 models on the floor. I personally would love a 2024 streetglide but at this moment the price is beyond me and I dare say quite a lot of other people as well.
Damn that looked like a Hallway of Motor bikes, but to be honest the bikes are popular it is just that at 8% - 9% interest it makes buying the newer bikes expensive. Harley will need to subsidize the interest rates down to 2.9-3.9-4.9 interest.
10% to 15% interest makes it hard to swallow. Inflation rates of 18% on average on everything we buy makes that disposable income hard to come by. The average family spending more than $1000 a month now then they were just a few years ago. Wages are not keeping up with inflation. Is your take on this maybe clueless.
High prices even though base models are slightly lower, high interest, slow economy, inflation, probably at an actual 35% more than what we spent 3 1/2 years ago ……… you do the math!! I’m sure Indian sales are also down For some people, it’s their main source of transportation for other people just a pleasure vehicle toy. Hopefully in six months to a year things will be different after the election

I was a Life member of Hogs. but it's hard to support a company that supports a way of life that is in contrast to "The Wild Bunch" or Steve McQueen or "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man." Clint Eastwood in "The Gauntlet"or "The Terminator" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Men in "goose me" shorts drinking Bud Light, IDK. it seems it is a different image they want a projection( a transforming change) of American men.. Good luck Harley. Stupid prices now. I have 5 Harley’s all are carburetted, so I can do my own work. I do not like how they have gone woke either. Will never buy another new one. I will stick to my oldies that I can fettle with at home.
They are still trying to sell their 2023 models, which there are still quite a few of. It’s why you can get 0.99% APR on a 2023 and not a 2024. My local Harley dealer here in Ohio still has over 20 2023 models on the showroom floor. They just aren’t moving, which you could blame many factors on, but their overall price is probably the biggest factor IMO.

@@randyk636 I believe that’s coming soon. I was honestly surprised that they didn’t update the trikes this year. Honestly they sale a lot of trikes nowadays
This doesn’t surprise me one bit. Dealers in Orlando going through the same thing. They have so many 2023s left over but they’re not budging that much on the price. The 24s are sitting there, basically because no one has any money and no one has any credit.in a few months the 2025 will be out.
Aside from inflated prices and high intrest rates, the target audience for Harleys is aging out. Millennials and Gen X'ers don't have the same interest in motorcycles as previous generations did. Their more interested in the next new I Phone. Also Harleys ridiculously high prices also keeps most young buyers away, especially when their competitors build better and cheaper motorcycles which appeal to a much larger audience.
The cost of gas the cost of insurance the cost of rent the cost of mortgage the cost of car payments. The cost of food. The cost of everything has skyrocketed. Could that be a big factor?
well not surprised honestly with so many content creators coming out with all their issues they've been having with the new 24s..I know the trikes this year really didn't much as well to no surprise being over the last 4 years been kinda watching HD closely to what and how they've been handling the trike market myself and its not been all that great to me at all more like nearly non existent compared to everything else. but prices, bugs, and the real lack of getting a complete bike (not having to buy aftermarket parts for something that should be factory). I feel is what's hurting them as well.
Harley is just a reflection of the current economy. People simply have less room in their budgets or have less disposable income. I've noticed this phenomenon in virtually all retail environments. People a looking and not buying. People have been slowly experiencing the effects of our poorly run economy. Credit cards are maxed out and bank accounts are empty.
A few reasons overstocked on inventory, cost of the bikes, younger people are riding sports bikes still, some older people are hanging onto there Gold wing’s, other people are content with the Harley they have now, others like me are digging there metric cruiser’s and keeping money in our pockets, and but not least an over expectation of sales, I’m still not in love with the look of the fairing on either bike street glide or road glide
Your credit score is absolutely Your own fault. If you're going to boycott them do it because they've gone woke and oppose all the laws etc.. that would ban child sex changes, etc... they're entire management is disgusting.
Did they "miss the mark"? The absence of customers in the showroom shows Harley don't even know where the mark is. Dull bikes don't sell, the downhill slide will continue until they understand why other manufacturers are selling bikes as fast as they can make them.
If I wanted an Indian I'd buy an Indian. The creased body lines, the tank, the digital gauges, and the half ass liquid cooling lost me. I do like the new bags and the 121 VVT. HD should have kept a little bit more tradition alive. I will keep my 2023 Road Glide ST.
The used market has tanked in my area also. High interest rates coupled with limited disposable income is producing severe headwinds. A large portion of the buying public are applying their limited funds elsewhere. The day of reckoning is coming soon for automakers. You can’t keep production lines full, when an average truck price is somewhere north of $55,000.
If I was CEO of HD I would scale the company down and go back to the smaller dealers that were locally owned. The benchmark for dealers would be a service department that was first class. I would write off the electric bike and take the losses. Looking forward I see a small, niche company if they are to even survive. The fifteen year plan looks tough, when you add technology to the Harley it morphs into something else. I personally thing the brand has been damaged in several different ways. It’s very hard to un ring a bell.
Update! Just got a call from my local HD dealer. Have a deal in the works, but it hinges on the financing. Negotiations are a lot easier when you have top tier credit and a good job!
Hi from Uk seeing the same here in most dealers not just harley just a thought if they are not moveing bikes specials might not have changed that been in three dealers today not one customer in any of them cant see it changing any time soon over here most bikes are hobbys not too many people have 20 to 30k disposable cash lying around great vid ride free
I really hope they work out the kinks on rev-max bikes. Those are the only bikes I see at the dealership these days that sparks my interest and makes me want to add a 3rd HD to the garage.
In 2003 my Electra Glide was as totaled and I was going through a divorce and my credit score was down but I had $11,000 down payment from my totaled bike 🫤 Harley Davidson told me that they didn’t want my business the were only interested in rich people that could buy every option and accessory and clothing so I took my $11,000 down payment to BMW who told me that not only did they want my business I didn’t need a down payment at all 😳 I’m on my seventh brand new BMW motorcycle and will never ever consider a Harley again lol
I went with Indian and not looking back. Always loved the Road King and thought I’d buy one. I road a Springfield and that was it. It’s a much better riding and handling bike. With the current HD news headlines, there is NO WAY I will ever buy a HD.
In case you haven't noticed, inflation is out of control, many cannot afford food and rent, so every company is having low sales, zoom out a little bit here and notice the bigger picture,🙄
There is not enough aftermarket products to make the bike yours. No lowers options( that’s a big one) the music is extremely limited for aftermarket upgrades, engine upgrades suck, and too many electronic glitches. Harley Davidson needs to stop trying to be HD exclusive and build their platform towards the aftermarket companies, instead if trying to be exclusive and have generic products which everyone will have and look the same, just my 2 cents😁
No more mom and pop dealers, corporate owners is a big problem,no more deals

Then when you started walking down the row, I thought, "probably a mirrored wall just making it look like lots of bikes." But nope, you just kept walking. Man, if most other dealerships look like this one, inventory is out of control! 🤯
@@m.f.m.67 that’s what I said! And to be honest all the corporate stores I been to in Ohio look like this. Only the couple small hold out dealers struggle to get bikes but that’s because they are pretty much on consignment from the dealer unless they are a big volume shop
High prices and too much tech for me. HD needs a CEO who knows motorcycles, not toothpaste.
Prices, finance rates, colors all suck... no one has any money right now.
They won't deal on price, I was in there looking at a CVO Street Glide, I asked the salesperson "will you sell this at MSRP" his response was "No" I will not even buy an oil filter from them, too many good dealers a round, like Southeast and Hales just to name a couple
That’s not a t sport fairing. That’s a fxrt fairing. The dyna is the t sport. Several dealers in my area have 2023 bikes still on the floor.
Where’s the FJB edition ?
Probably the same spot the FDT versions are.
I agree with you!!!!
Twump is a crook and a total idiot!!!!@@Kevin-ne3tl
It will only get worse since HD has joined the woke movement. I certainly won’t buy another one……..
Damn that looked like a Hallway of Motor bikes, but to be honest the bikes are popular it is just that at 8% - 9% interest it makes buying the newer bikes expensive. Harley will need to subsidize the interest rates down to 2.9-3.9-4.9 interest.
@@Bikerbug2020 that’s what said if I got 1.9% I’d gladly use their money
I would imagine the evo sportsters were huge sellers, the new Sportster S is terrible, they could of do done so much better looks wise
@@robr5786 don't you understand that they are forced to. have to pass regulations, restrictions
I’m sure Indian sales are also down
For some people, it’s their main source of transportation for other people just a pleasure vehicle toy.
Hopefully in six months to a year things will be different after the election
Way above msrp....that's the reason
Makes me sad! Msrp should not be the starting point, unless your negotiating down from that number
After 17 years of owning HD touring bikes, I'm 69yrs old, a 2007 Road Glide and a 2019 RGUltra, they went pro dc sucker(woke) so I traded off for a 22 Kawasaki Conourse. Now I have a box of t-shirts :(. Loved my Harley's. Open your eyes and return to your base. Or not. Good video. thanks
HD prices are too high. I really wanted to get a Breakout, but $26k OTD for a bike like that ??? I don't know man....
The prices and how they go about selling motorcycles. It’s a joke
They would have sold a shit load of them if people had money and interest were lower like four years ago definitely but no thanks to the economy!!!
Every dealer around me is running a 2023 clearance event
@@0hi0hdmc it’s crazy. I would be a buyer of a new Harley if the prices were much lower. I want to get to Heritage. Seems to be a pretty good fit for the type of riding I do and still be able to have my wife on the back occasionally, but I cannot justify spending $23,000 to buy one. If it was closer to $16,000 I would own one today.
Was a beautiful ride that day though,i definitely wasn't feeling that Harley shop,i still think southeast and rock and roll are the 2 best harley shops up that direction, thanks for the invite for the ride
I love the new Road Glide fairing and I really hope they put it on a trike next model year.
@@JohnDoe-bi4ho yes sir!
I took a test ride on a street glide 117 cvo at ohio bike week. Great running bike, electronics way to complicated. Price way to high
These bikes are now entering corvette territory. You have to be upper upper class to afford these. Sad
well not surprised honestly with so many content creators coming out with all their issues they've been having with the new 24s..I know the trikes this year really didn't much as well to no surprise being over the last 4 years been kinda watching HD closely to what and how they've been handling the trike market myself and its not been all that great to me at all more like nearly non existent compared to everything else. but prices, bugs, and the real lack of getting a complete bike (not having to buy aftermarket parts for something that should be factory). I feel is what's hurting them as well.
@@Ridingon3TN never buy first year of anything!
@@0hi0hdmc yep my grandfather and dad both told me that growing up doesn't matter what it is but especially vehicles.
every year model big change have issues lol, has the evo twin cams and M8 haha
Holy shit that’s a lot of new bikes
Harley Davidson has to unburden what has been….
@@Xlac hahahahahaha damn that’s funny!
Every small business owner have spent all their covid ppp money!
Could it be that they went so WOKE?
it’s the economy !!!
Can’t buy it with ruined credit scores might as well boycott them
@@Goldwing1 🤣😂⚡️🤷♂️
Your credit score is absolutely Your own fault. If you're going to boycott them do it because they've gone woke and oppose all the laws etc.. that would ban child sex changes, etc... they're entire management is disgusting.
Did they "miss the mark"? The absence of customers in the showroom shows Harley don't even know where the mark is. Dull bikes don't sell, the downhill slide will continue until they understand why other manufacturers are selling bikes as fast as they can make them.
Yes sir, that was on a Sunday also when all other dealers in the area are closed. Thought the same thing
The good news is there are deals to be had. Just picked up a 23 Breakout in may for less than msrp out the door.
Harley will be done in five years
Not just Harley. Try ford, dodge, indian, etc. economy is bad for sales.
My local dealer just sells Road Glides. All black no chrome.
It is sad...
@@wa4sw827 I like the chrome on the 2024! I would buy a blue and chrome one if I had an extra 30k
Uhhh… most people don’t have cash and if you get a loan, your APR is starting at 6.9% up to 10% and that’s with excellent credit
@@mr.mb2431 10% is kinda low apr around here. Last year I was working at the dealership and seen interest rates hit 15-18%
I must admit that Tabasco fade ST is badass
It is a cool factory color
If I was CEO of HD I would scale the company down and go back to the smaller dealers that were locally owned. The benchmark for dealers would be a service department that was first class. I would write off the electric bike and take the losses. Looking forward I see a small, niche company if they are to even survive.
The fifteen year plan looks tough, when you add technology to the Harley it morphs into something else. I personally thing the brand has been damaged in several different ways. It’s very hard to un ring a bell.
Worked sales few mths ago, 30k for sg or rg, cvo 45-50k, payments were 650-750 avg, won't take cash offers, want 6500-10k down also
@@user-yr8mh3nx3g truth! They don’t like cash deals they want that financing so they can get even more
@@user-yr8mh3nx3g my wife’s truck is 650$ a month, when I seen dudes paying 800$ for a bike in Ohio I was speechless
I purchased the 2024 street glide and besides the updates for the OS system I love the bike.
Update! Just got a call from my local HD dealer. Have a deal in the works, but it hinges on the financing. Negotiations are a lot easier when you have top tier credit and a good job!
Negotiations are the easiest when the cash is in buyer's pocket, just saying...
I’m wonder how much volume that dealer moves to carry that many bikes
Hi from Uk seeing the same here in most dealers not just harley just a thought if they are not moveing bikes specials might not have changed that been in three dealers today not one customer in any of them cant see it changing any time soon over here most bikes are hobbys not too many people have 20 to 30k disposable cash lying around great vid ride free
I really hope they work out the kinks on rev-max bikes. Those are the only bikes I see at the dealership these days that sparks my interest and makes me want to add a 3rd HD to the garage.
I heard the 2023-24 models have way less issues
The colors are ugly. The prices are too high. A used one is a much better financial option.
There is not enough aftermarket products to make the bike yours. No lowers options( that’s a big one) the music is extremely limited for aftermarket upgrades, engine upgrades suck, and too many electronic glitches. Harley Davidson needs to stop trying to be HD exclusive and build their platform towards the aftermarket companies, instead if trying to be exclusive and have generic products which everyone will have and look the same, just my 2 cents😁
mabe they should not taken android auto away from us
