  • I took my camera to the shop for a change to show the process to replacing manifold gaskets. This was on my 6nz motor in my 01 Western Star. Huge shout out to my dad (The old man in the video) for teaching me how to wrench my whole life and helping me with my rigs the last 3 years.
Please be sure to like and subscribe! Thanks!

Brother this is the same exact noise I have going on with my cat c12… you helped the kid ease his mind. I thought the damn motor was ticking after rebuilding my head. Thank you for the video my good man.

Wish me luck I have a C-13 Acert and I’m hearing the same noise and was told by a senior mechanic that it’s the exhaust manifold gaskets needs changing
      My symptoms are :
      - Bad MPG
      - derate at an incline
      -smokes at an incline
-temp rises to 183 on an incline and the smokes and the fluttering starts.
I’ll keep you guys posted! It seems it’s less and less people with cats nowadays‼️

Great video. Thanks Man, you worked through the broken bolts even letting the senior mechanic showing you how to take out by welding.
I like the way you can admit your other mistake while that mechanic was working on that axle.
Next time you get a broken bolt, first weld a half inch washer on it then weld in the nut. Let it cool for awhile, then use the oxygen/acetylene torch on the block around the broken bolt at high heat for a couple of minutes.
Then use your air Rachet with a WOBBLE. It should come out easier.
Patience is a key for broken studs.

@@MrNosajwhitey no. I had replaced the center section in differential a few weeks back and one of the axles was leaking gear oil. Guess I didn't goop it enough
