I own the ZAD80 , I’ve had it for a year now . I’m totally sold on Zager guitars . The quality and craftsmanship are outstanding . I love the bottom end , miss , shimmering high end . I’m no stranger to other high end acoustics . Played many of them and I’m always looking for that nice bottom end and if it projects in volume , ease of play , and just good looks ,, something to marvel at every time I open up their case that came with it and feel it’s the first time seeing it and feeling that thrill. Thats my 80 and I’m happy I made the Zager choice and am proud to own it regardless of the idiot bad mouthers out there . I can’t personally justify 5 , 6 , 7 figures for an acoustic guitar , when imo Zager in ALL aspects runs a close race in quality with its overpriced competitors . Don’t care if they were made on another planet by other creatures LOL the proof is in the puddin , I know been playing for 60+ years and I know what’s good . I highly recommend Zager guitars !
I would like to say that Zager makes the best acoustic guitar in the world. They are the best thing since sliced bread. They are better than pre-war Martins and make James Olsen guitars sound average. The only instrument you can compare in quality and playability with a Zager, might be a premium Esteban, but as they say, you get what you pay for. I am so glad Zager came into my life. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would like to say, they make the best guitar on the face of the earth.
I've heard about Zager guitars, both bad and good. I've looked at the ZAD50CE Solid African Mahogany Acoustic Electric and it looks fantastic. Thanks for the review on this one. I really enjoy all your video lessons. You've helped this 67 yr old beginner learn so much.
I've been eyeing these guitars for a while now, but never pulled the trigger on one cause I haven't seen many reviews of 'em. It looks and sounds great! Crossing my fingers on the giveaway. :)
Looks like another UA-camr got a free China-built Zager guitar for a good review. The guitars are not built in Nebraska, nor does Denny check every guitar. The one I bought had high action and a buzzing open B string. If that's Denny's level of QC, you can keep it. Why own an unknown brand you need to justify when you can have a Martin, Gibson, Taylor, Guild or Gretsch for the same price.
I Tried one of their less expensive models. I liked it. I started looking at getting one of the more expensive ones thinking it would be worth the money. After registering with them I was inundated with CONSTANT emails that bordered on harassment. I immediately unsubscribed and decided to buy something else.
Here’s the truth! I guess depending on your skill level and what you want your guitar to do and sound like, I think Zager makes a nice guitar for the money investment. I bought two guitars 3 years ago, I repeat two. Each one had identical flaws that bothered me. Both were very top heavy. Reason being, when I called Denny’s son he told me the heavy truss rod and heavy tuning machines made both guitars top heavy. That’s just the way they build there guitars. Second, I felt both guitars were very percussive sounding with no mid range definition or bass resonance. Those two factors resulted in me returning them. There customer service is great and they were honest, so to each there own, but there worth the money if your not meticulous and a veteran guitarist like myself. Thanks
Hello Mr Robbie I was Wondering if you could do a lesson on how a cowgirl says good by, by Tracey Lawrence it's one of my favourites and I can't figure out the intro thank you
Aye man huge fan! I watch your videos all the time. I’m struggling finding how to play Keith Whitley’s “Charlotte’s in North Carolina” and was wondering if you’d be able to cover it! It would be such a great help!
@@LearnGuitarFavorites I took a chance on Zager ( I own numerous high end guitars including some customs that had 2 year wait times), but the product promises a great guitar at quite a savings compared to similar instruments. I made my purchase and did so only knowing they had one to ship. 5 days later my guitar cannot ship because it has defects ( statement based on a email I never got), but my options were to wait a few months and we will have another batch in! I could choose another model if I like which they also did not have any of. 3 days of time consuming emails back and forth but I have been promised a refund as of this morning. I never bought into the negative hype but knowing musical instruments like I do, this experience was not the best.
@@brucecrawford4767 They made everything right in time so only good results with Zager. I was reimbursed so in the long run I will compliment customer their service.
The Zager Zad900 is a Samick Greg Bennett made in Indonesia. The head stock is different but the fret markers are identical except for the Z near the sound hole. The custom string spacing which is supposed to make it “easy play” is achieved by putting a 1 3/4 nut on the 1 11/16 neck. Unfortunately, this makes the high and low E strings roll over the neck more easily. The other easy play feature consists of lighter strings being used. I know all of this because I bought a Zager guitar only to find out later where it was really made by putting a mirror through the sound hole and seeing the made in Indonesia stamp near the neck. I then bought a Samick Greg Bennett ASDR for $300 online. It is the equivalent of the Zad900 withe the notable exceptions above. I had it set up professionally and it has very nice action but sounds dead to me regardless of the strings I tried. I believe this is due to the extra thick finish. If you want a Zager, by the Samick version for about 85% less. I now have 3 small body Taylor’s and they are all much better sounding vs the Samick. I’m not saying the Zagers are not nice looking or poorly made, but they aren’t made in the US and nowhere the quality of Taylor’s or other high end US made guitars. Do your research!!!
Hopefully I can win that guitar man it would be a great birthday present for my brother he’s been wanting a guitar for almost 10years good luck every buddy and to me

Just ordered the same model and I am stoked, with a serious case of anxiety. I hope they get er on my way soon!
Is there a reason why I never see an actual sound quality comparison between a Martin and a Zager and Martin in the same price range?
Yes
Looks like Christmas came early... I love your videos they have been helping me learn my favorite song from the beginning ! 🤘
Glad they have helped you!
Beautiful clear tone, great project ion

I have a Zager mahogany parlor. It’s my go to guitar now.
I've heard plenty of great things about Zager guitars, would love to own one. Better start saving up I suppose. LOL

You can get a real Martin, Gibson or Taylor for the same money, without the need to justify it.

After shelling out 2400.00 for a ZAD900 I have only received the runaround from Zager. I hope I am wrong but believe Zager guitars are a scam.
I'm sorry to hear that, What do you mean, You never got your guitar? I know any people who have been very happy with them.
