In My Opinion...Flavour is arguably one of the best artists out of the whole continent of Africa. Mainly because he isnt afraid to incorporate Igbo Culture in his music and visuals.
I COMPLETELY agree and I think because of him, other artists are showcasing more of their African culture too! There was a time when African musicians used to shy away of tradition/culture in their music.
@@fujablack my dearest I know that tribal identity may be a painful point for you judging from your comment. However, casting untrue aspersions on me seems to actually describe your innermost battles with people who are proud of where they come from; people who understand their true identity irrespective of their geographical locations. My tribe is beautiful and I will celebrate my primary identity at any given moment. Flavour and I share the same tribe and this interview was filled with lessons. Identifying with him on that primary level came from a place of love because I am loved and have always had love so it’s easy for me to give it freely. I wish I could give you a hug so that just maybe you will understand that love knows no bounds. In addition, it will do you a lot of good to check up the Merriam Webster dictionary meaning of certain words before you use them carelessly so that you don’t end up sounding ignorant and bitter. Anyways, bless your heart darling 🤗🤗🤗.
What a lovely story and motivation to me, because from what I can understand from his story is that any thing that you fell in love doing keep doing it and help yourself by learning more
This is focus, discipline, hard work, determination, and commitment speaking! This has made respect Flavour the more, a virgin at 24!!!! Wow!!! 👏🏿💒🕊️👑🦅🦁🙏🏿🔥🇬🇧👨👩👧👦
👑Flavor has touched the soul and spirit and bodies of his audience because he is a Minister of Music which transcends just singing. It is now confirmed by my hearing that his roots began in church. Blessings King.👑
Every aspiring artist needs to watch this. This interview is a masterclass in the business of music! I love that he gives everyone who helped him their props. Mr Raw is a good guy to have helped his light shine. Very good response to that Buju Banton comment.
I'm only 20 minutes in and Flavour has shared the blueprint for investing in and reinventing yourself. A rebrand starts with recognising there is a gap.
Wow, what a story. A lot of the big Afrobeats guys, when you sit them down and listen to them, you'll definitely understand how uniquely gifted everyone off them are. It goes beyond the songs and vibes. They're really smart and did put in a lot of work. A nice podcast overall.
the Alaba he meant was the one that has the biggest electronics Marrket in Nigeria, the ones Danfo Driver sang about is quite different... that is a 'smaller' market close to Ajegunle.
To add to Flavour’s reaction to Buju Banton’s comment about Afrobeats, I want to believe the reason for afrobeats is to unite the world. We can clearly see how all races unite whenever afrobeats is being played. I saw the other day a Caucasians singing Asake’s song word for word. This is a song done purely in Yoruba. I want to believe this will later make people want to listen to other songs done in the days of Buju Banton.
51:00-52...Well said. Variety is the spice. We need a broad spectrum not too much of anything. That's what makes life beautiful. Not everyone can fight the revolution some must just keep a level vybe of peace and equilibrium, others show us the trends and make us smile. Balance is the key
