  • This is about adding a couple solar panels and Lithium EnjoyBot 48 volt 100 AH battery. The cart is now 100% powered by the sun. Going green ain't cheap but it's the agenda these days. Enjoybot supplied the battery and charger for this video. This battery has a 10 year warranty and is reasonably priced. I will do updates in future videos to show how this works out for my wife. The LiTime battery app was a pain to use and seemed to be tracking us so that battery will go to another use with a shunt monitor.

*CONGRATS on getting a new pup!* He looks feisty. It really helps the heart to adopt another dog when you lose your seniors. Some of us have to wait, while other jump right in. I hope you show some more of him!

Thanks. We really were on the edge about getting another dog but our local rescue recently took in 120 dogs from a house that was a puppy farm that they raided due to dangerous conditions. We took a ride over looking for an older dog but this little girl stole our hearts and came home with us. She is part Border Collie and very smart that is a slight problem when she gets stubborn. She was just spayed 3 days before we got her and loves everyone. Just trying to keep up with her takes half our day but she brings life back to the house. Thanks for watching.

That's definitely a great, comprehensive guide for golf cart owners on how to install panels on their carts. Thanks a lot! :)

Very cool. It’s amazing how the lipo battery technology is becoming more available in different applications. I have a friend who is changing his battery system I’m on his small cabin cruiser boat to lipo with solar. Love the new puppy, he is so cute

Right now it has become quite affordable also. I am starting to order parts for a 12kw solar backup trailer for our house I will be working on this fall. She is cute and very smart. She can be a handful at times. Thanks for watching.

*You are looking good!* That should be a convenient way to keep the cart charged and best of all, it gives you an alternative to using gas in both carts. Thank the Good Lord that the rain has slowed down here too. Hot and dry -- but at least I am not mowing and weed-wacking every single darn day to try and keep up. STILL behind, I'm way late top dressing my raised beds and barrels because it was too wet to get compost delivered. Finally got 4 scoops spread (a shovel-full at a time) and planted tomatoes yesterday. My new "toy" is the EGO leaf blower. (LB6703670CFM 180MP 56V.) It's enormous but, wow, it does offer a lot of power and does the job. Supposed to have a long battery life. We shall see. I bought the EGO auto-feed string trimmer two years ago and it is such a piece of cake restringing it. I love it. BUT it is VERY heavy though compared to the ECHO gas model SRM-225 I have like yours. EGO customer service was very responsive. I had to go buy oil for the lawn tractor and my jaw dropped at the price of one quart! Also oil for the small equipment is ridiculous. Ethanol free gas here was $4.499 a couple of days ago. INSANE to pay these prices we we are sitting on some of the largest oil reserves in the world. Hope you get caught up with all that mowing. I will take the heat over the snow and ice any day.

Thanks. So far it is working out great. Should never have to plug it in again. I cannot catch up either. Now it's too hot and mosquitoes are coming out. I need to mow the top every 4 days and it is still a mess. Haven't finished planting everything and probably won't. Spending too much time trying to keep a puppy occupied lately and splitting wood that I have finally been able to get up the hill. Oil prices are crazy. At the 200 hour service my new zero turn requires about $250.00 of oil and filters. The drive oil is $20.00 a quart 😬 I just found out. I am looking at a cab tractor now with heat and ac if I find someone to buy the old one. Just soo many ticks this year after the mild winter hiding in all that tall grass. Thanks for watching.

Excited for a solar video! Would love to see a home built system using off the shelf components

I am planning an equipment trailer mounted portable 12kw backup solar system this fall. Just ordered the solar panels before the tarrifs kick in doubling prices. Wanted to add it to the house but that would double my homeowners insurance. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. Poor little girl only made it a week. She had a serious genetic defect and we had to have her put down after spending time at the vet with no solutions to ease her pain and get her legs working again. Thanks for watching.

That was a great job, well worth the change over, you could always convert the ATV , 😂 . that would definitely give it some extra performance 🎭, 😂, congratulations on the new off spring 😂, I have been working on my garage/workshop, one more wall to insulate, but still need to do the roof with insulation, but today I have been working on HOG , I have found a air-leek manifold to head, and I think I found a bit more grime inside the carburettor, Been popping and banging on acceleration,
Going back to your golf cart, 🛒, the main thing is the Boss happy, 😃 😂, stay safe, keep up the great work, France

Thanks. It was a fun project to learn a little about solar power. Getting ready for a large solar project an this helps understand the panel outputs in different conditions. Sounds like you are making great progress with your shop. Hope you're moved in soon.
Harleys pop and bang on acceleration from new 🤔. Recently sold mine and it was fuel injected so basically not serviceable at home. They are fun but too many distracted drivers convinced me to sell it. Happy wife happy life. Thanks for watching.

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 sorry I didn’t say, the HOG is a 2003 Deuce, Carb , it as being standing for a best part of a year, and a issue with the alarm, I hate the alarm system on these bikes, My original bike that I purchased in 2000 the same model never had any issues with it at all I even upgraded it to a 1550, and sadly when I had to sell it in 2019, got best part of 50,000 miles on the clock, and most of that was done in Europe, as I am now living in Europe I don’t have quite so far to go, my first trundle out today only 12 miles, hairpin bends, very very steep hills, Was not happy the way it was riding, so I needed to come back and now I’ve stripped it, tank carburettor, I’m even going to do the final drive belt, as I was quoted €1600 plus VAT from HD, last time I had one of these done was around £500, that was a few years ago,
As regards as traffic , It’s not too bad here, living in the countryside, occasionally a stagecoach go past with Indians following,
One thing that does concern me is French people like driving in the centre of the road, especially in Royal areas , While it lasted being back on the bike, I had a smile on my face first time in years, I even saw an eagle flying across through the forest,
As for my workshop , I’m hoping to build a slab flattening jig with my router, And now my workshop has got a roof on it, for the first time in around five years I’ve managed to stand up my Resaw, as it has been laying on its side as it is too tall to stand up, .
Sorry, I’m waffling on a bit , look forward to your next project, France.

Could you tow a dump cart (400 lb max) with this electric cart? I don’t like to break out the tractors when the ground is wet. Getting a good workout pulling it by hand, but wear out sooner in the day than I like. The seat in the shade is appealing as well.

It definitely will tow a small cart with the lithium battery. We keep the back seat folded down and sometimes I load it up wyith hundreds of pounds of firewood. My wife loves it with her back being in such bad shape. Thanks for watching.
