@@selumari4141 Just like Alice is often responsible for pulling the strings behind the scenes/ interfering with various events throughout time, so do the rest of the Hexenzirkel members. Their organization appears to have deeper purposes beyond what we currently know the details of and the members are hundreds of years old, many from other worlds interfering with this world's events (Teyvat). We knew Diluc's family had to hold a significance role, we just didn't know what/how until now. Kaeya's dad didn't leave him with some random family (who does that lol), and we now know what that missing link was! And there's still mysterious surrounding why Diluc's dad had a special fatui delusion (not like others) as to his full identity (he was a powerful individual with more than appears just like Diluc's mom no doubt).

Actually, It's more likely it's his grandmother, great grandmother given the time of this tea party in the cutscene. They have been many successes of J since that tea party took place. Meaning that their family was descended from that witch to have so many heirlooms in the house. Or Diluc's mother is also immortal but that would be noted as she would have been in the family for hundreds of years.

Considering that most people in Teyvat have passive perception worse than Dr. Dooffenschimirtz I'd argue if Diluc's mom was immortal it would be unnoticed.
Honestly time line in genshin is more mixed up than a jumbled rubix cube. There are plenty reasons it could still be his mom. She could be immortal (like some of the other witches) or she could have ended up like Faruzan who got trapped in a place while time passed in the outside world. It's good to keep avenues open.
Honestly, Alice being a friend of Diluc’s mom makes complete sense. It’s the same reason Albedo calls her “Aunt Alice,” she was a friend of Rhinedottir (Albedo’s “mom”).
Albedo isn’t her child, yet she treats him as such since Rhinedottir is dead (??). It wouldn’t be too far fetched to assume she might to the same with Diluc.
I doubt rhinedottir would be dead, thats kinda just bad or weird writing (imo) especially since it seems albedo has only been around in the past few years in mond, and the last 2 albedo events always drop smth big about both him and rhinedottir.
Rhinedottir is most likely not dead. According to theories she might be in the abyss. We can confirm this as the rift wolves and hounds are her creations. So it's a chance we might meet her in khanrehia or in a dainsleif quest
Rhinedottir is probably not dead, she was a Khaenri’ah 500 years ago and many believe in game she perpetrated the Cataclysm (which I personally think is more complex) and we know Khaenri’ahn’s (pure blooded) became Immortals so Rhinedottir is probably immortal.
Rhindottir isnt confirmed dead. She's dissapeared. And yes albedo isnt his son. He was a homonculi created by rhindottir through durin. She also by chance created many monsters in teyvat by accidentally mutated her creation. It was unclear if rifthound was created for malicious reason or not. Some suggest her creation is not malicious in nature but got corrupted by abyss power.

Probably a coincidence, but with this theory emerging i'm starting to think that it might not be at all. It is stated ingame that Diluc's birthday is April 30th, which is the Walpurgisnacht, the day when witches gather.
This makes too much sense to be a coincidence tbh. Hoyoverse is never lazy in dropping lore hints.

It would explain why Diluc's father was so desperate for power. He felt helpless being in his wife's shadow all the time. And when his son turned out to be just as talented as his wife, he grew desperate and fell to the temptation of the forbidden power of Delusion. I believe in the theory of Diluc's mom being a Mage. But Diluc's father being a Harbinger? No.
Yeah, maybe he joined the Fatui to get the delusion but absolutely not as a harbinger. Without a vision, reputation in Snezhnaya nor outstanding academic accomplishments there is no way they would just make him a Harbinger. Pantalone is much richer, Pulcinella is a public figure, Dottore is a scholar and the rest is much stronger in battle without reliance on Fatui given delusion.

I'd like to believe that if Diluc's mom was really the witch, she must've met his dad when he was already collaborating with the Fatui in his search for power. The Fatui plotting to dispose of a weak link like Crepus using Dottore in the webtoon would make sense if his allegiances and loyalty wavered and he became sussy after now having a family to protect. Why would they have him, the head of a powerful clan in mondstadt, killed if they could still use him like that?

I do think that it's possible for a Ragnvindr woman to be a part of the Hexenzirkel, I don't believe it was Diluc's mother. First off, let's make it clear that she didn't kill Crepus. Because in the manga, it was Diluc who ended his suffering, not his mother. His mother was never present in his life as when Diluc and Kaeya recall memoirs of their childhood, they only ever mention each other or Crepus. And if it was his mother, she would've been in the family for hundreds of years if she was old enough to hear the story of Albedo's "birth". Which is why I believe that although it could be a woman a part of the Ragnvindr line, it's likely that it's one of the ancestors and the teapot that used to be used for the tea parties for the Hexenzirkel ended up being a family heirloom if she ended up retiring.
Oh I forgot about the other details on that letter! But to be honest, I find it a bit odd for Alice to offer that to Diluc just because he didn't get mad at Klee for that incident. I mean, that would have been superficial for me, so it makes a lot of sense why Alice would offer that because she is friends with Diluc's mother. Just like how she treated Albedo (because of Gold).

@@InactiveTwig it’s not a huge reach, pierro is never described as the first fatui harbinger, only as the directer, which could mean he is number 0, and the voice lines about the harbingers are always in the order of the harbingers ranks, going by them the only 2 harbingers with unknown ranks are captitano as the first, and alerrchino as the 4th, which leaves the 10th seat empty. Diluc’s father had a delusion and got killed by a drake around the same time as dottore being in mondstadt, which could suggest he betrayed the fatui and they decided to get rid of him so he wouldn’t cause trouble.

Now that I look at the scene clearly and listen to the characters my biggest guess on who are the witches are
Alice
Dilucs mum
Monas teacher/master (there was huge shooting star that could reflect astrology
Lisa maybe (because of the purple lantern)
The other 2 maybe absent because one could have died( la signora was the hellfire witch so she might been one)
And the other could be another mondstat character we haven’t met
Edit: it the last one could be albedos master since there was a potion with a boy inside symbolising albedo

I think that dilucs mom took diluc to the hexenzirkel meetings. She might have left diluc at the hexenzirkel and go off to a mission and died there. That might be why Alice sayed that in her letter as she might have raised him too

I don't think the teapot is that big of a deal actually. It's a nice theory, but if you look at the table in the event, there are multiple sets of that teapot and cups

For the part about Alice trying to adopt Diluc, i think it's just Alice being Alice. In her guide to Teyvat she writes about how she literally tried to kidnap/adopt Yoimiya because she likes her and feel close to her

Diluc holds so much firepower potential, he got a vision at the age of 10, Crepus couldn't draw an eagle painting properly then there's Diluc who magically created a perfect image using fire, he also suffered no drawbacks after using a delusion for years while his dad died after using it once.

Could be cuz it's an event in Mondstadt which is inspired by Germany. Also, they did want to fight Barbatos who then had them change their mind and instead had them gather for tea parties instead. Perhaps it's a little nod to that?
I did have a moment of speculation about the tea set because its colors are so vibrant that it looks out of place in the cutscene. I never thought it might’ve had such an important backstory 😂

I think that it might be along the lines of a great-great-grandmother, since otherwise his mom would’ve had to be hundreds of years old, and that’s pretty strange. Also, if it is his great great grandmother, I think it’s possible that it was M, due to the line saying something like “my lifespan is much shorter than yours, I can leave you with my storybook” and M, being the storybook writer, is the one with the shortest lifespan. So it’d be possible for her to be a great great grandma
