- Hello people, here is my review of Layton Exclusif by Parfums de Marly.
For me, this is a 10/10 fragrance and for sure my favourite fragrance that I own (the only thing that's on par is my older batch of Aventus). Super addictive, sweet, spicy, powdery, and luxurious.

Good review, thanks! Yes, yes, definitely not a blind buy! Only distantly related to Layton OG imo. There is a slight sweetness to the fragrance, but I would say that the woods are much more prominent (especially guaiac wood and a clean medicinal oud). The "woody notes" are totally different to the ones you'll find in a designer fragrance, and if Layton is a very high quality "designer style fragrance", Exclusif is the full on niche version! Notino UK is currently selling 125ml for 220GBP, which is a very good price.
Yes the guaiac wood is definitely prominent! So many words for this fragrance, I enjoy it so much.

@@simmscents Yep. If I liked it I'd definitely be pulling the trigger. Fortunately for my wallet, my 10ml decant will be more than enough for me 😂 Not my favourite scent, although i appreciate PdM doing something different.
@@david-2 are you a fan of the darker Frederic Malle fragrances? A few of those are catching my eye.

This is the only real mens fragrance from PDM. I let my wife tried out literally every other supposed to be mens PDM and none of her friends said she smells like a man 😂

@@adriatics.3357 definitely. And I always hear people say it’s basic and known, but that’s only within the community. Trust me you’re gonna stand out and get hella compliments
I sold my Layton and ended up buying this instead, the OG was too screechy and basic. I love the bit of darkness and added character the exclusif has.
Yes Exclusif definitely had some extra character - I like the OG but as you say, the extra darkness and depth to the Exclusif makes it my favourite out of the two! Thanks for your comment
There's nothing quite like Layton Exclusif and I enjoyed it (a lot!) until, one day, the guaiac wood reminded me of a tarmac tipper truck. I sold it.
