- His name may not attract much attention today. But back in the day, John Jones Serwanga, was thepress secretary of Ssekabaka Edward Muteesa II. Today, the 94-year-old narrates what transpired when government soldiers sent by then premier Milton Obote, attacked the Kabaka’s palace in 1966. Sserwanga says that at the time, he knew where the king was after the palace came under attack, but never revealed this, despite a huge reward by Obote for anyone with information.
