And yeah The Professor is a really good street baller and has amazing handles on the street but he would get instantly shut down in the NBA. They’re just too good. I think Kyrie is a more elite dribbler then the the Professor. Like you said he has to do his moves against the best defenders in the world but that’s not knocking the Professor, he’s one of the best street ballers ever.
The Professor has enough physical skills to have made a good point guard in the NBA. It seems as if his BB IQ is also on point, but he is just playing against streetballers. Still, based on how he played when he was with AndOne, it seems like he could have made it onto a team in the NBA...at least. Don't know why that didn't happen, but there could be 100 different reason why and those reasons may not have anything to do with his playing ability. Either way, he's done alright for himself, it seems.
@@EMD1028 Yeah, I'm not saying he can do those moves in the NBA. I'm sure he can play straight BB if he wants to. I'm saying it seems like he's got enough skills to play straight BB in the NBA.
@@operator0 well i can't disagree but at same time judging by his size it would not be an easy feat. Think game would be too physical for his stature. But don't get me wrong. I am not taking anything away from him. The dude is amazing.
The "And1 mix tour" took the best streetballers in the world on tour, challenging city's to bring out their best. New York, Detroit, Chicago, etc. So early in the afternoon their would be an open run where 20-30+ players, all from that city, play a whole game. The top 10 players or so would be chosen and become that city's "team" and play against the And1 team that evening. Grayson Allen played for his city so well in the main game that the And1 team gave him the name Professor and let him join their own team and tour with them from that point on.
The professor does trick moves that aren’t really effective. If a pro wants to score they will just go and score without wasting the extra time putting it between the other players legs and stuff. The professor is fast but there are players who are 6 inches taller than him who move just as fast if not faster.
If the professor went for the NBA he could've done it. He just decided to do the AND1 mixtape and didn't have interest in it, if he went for the NBA path, with his quick handle and shot and finishing ability, he could've been a Kyrie Irving like player.
I haven't commented here before, but I've been watching your videos for a while now. So the professor is one of the most prolific professional street ball players of all time . I’m sure he hasn’t necessarily tried to get on an NBA team because how widely popular street ball is , there are old games that had him and other streetball legends were the focal point in . I’m pretty sure he’s done doing Street ball professionally so he’s started up his UA-cam channel but he has garnered a lot of recognition from NBA players by being regarded as one of the best dribblers of all time .
In the NHL, the Carolina Hurricanes just had a extremely rare game tonight where both their goalies got injured and they had to, per emergency, pull someone from the crowd (who has goalie experience). He played half the game and they still won 6-3. You should react to a video covering it, dude is 42 years old and works an average job, has never seen pro hockey and suddenly gets his childhood dream, thrown into the highest level possible and manages to hold it down. Great story
You should react to a video titled "This Will Never Happen Again" by JxmyHighroller. It's about the Ball brothers who played for Chino Hills High School basketball team and their dominate run to a National Championship. Arguably one of the best high school basketball teams ever.
The professor used to play for AND1 back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s and toured around the world working out and showing people what he does with 1v1’s, 2v2’s, etc...
Professor is part of a league called street ball that focuses on flashy dribbling and dunks. The biggest group is called 'And 1' there are a bunch of guys with sick streetball skills like Professor if you liked this check them out!
The Professor has the best handles because he is dedicated to it, those who think he might be crushed on a nba court have never seen him play ball without his moves. The man is quick, great shooter and even better at sharing the ball, not about individual perf, he might not have the body of an nba player but he would have been deadly on a team like the spurs for example. Kyrie style is way different imo
He used to play for a StreetBall team called And1. They had a team of really good streetballers and would tour the country and fill arenas to play against the local streetballers. There's plenty of UA-cam vids showcasing them. It was pretty entertaining.
He was good and probably could’ve made the league if he had more of a scouting report coming out of high school or college . He didn’t really go to a known college so scouts probably overlooked him for other more known prospects. He played semi pro and was apparently pretty good.
If this guy and play style represent any NBA team it would have to be the Sacramento Kings of the early 00's. The video is called The Greatest Show on Court and it's worth the watch!

In the 90’s everybody was dribbling like this, he’s from that era where dribbling was everything, but to take that style to the league is tough. Only Allen Iverson, Jason Williams, kyrie Irving, RAF Alston was the only guys to use that style in the league. Now today it’s mainly about 3 pointers all day now
5'10" or 1.78M, Grayson Boucher (The Professor) played on the AND1 Mixtape Tour. Did not receive a scholarship out of high school, but did play in college.
he was in a pro league called and1 back in the day. It was a streetball pro league more focused on the flashy entertaining shit rather that pure basketball skill(though obv theres still a lot of skill there, just a different kind). theres been a long argument on whether prof could make it in the nba. Most people say probably not, but thats only because he went to streetball. I think personally if he stayed on the nba route, there's definitely a decent chance to get in. he obviously has a good amount of raw talent
A good analogy for describing the professor is that just like in futbol, you got crazy good freestylers that can juggle really well, do crazy tricks, they’re nasty in futsal, and entertaining to watch.... but on a real pitch with pros they wouldn’t even be comparable. It’s not to say he can’t play, I’ve seen videos of him teaching pros his signature move but I mean most nba players have crazy nice handles but if you try doing that in a game, you’re gonna get leveled 😂
He had a chance to go to the league but at the time he didn't meet all the requirements. He had been working his ass off prior but he didn't feel like waiting any longer so when he found out a new street ball league was Poppin off called "And-1" which NBA players played in during the off-season he decided to pay a visit. he played got a spot on the team after he attended the survivor contest and hit game winner in 2003. After that everyone knew who the professor was. But for everyone saying he not good enough for the league yall need to wake tf up. He trains NBA players and He has plenty of highlights crossing NBA players in the And-1 league but y'all probably to young to know that.
The Professor is to basketball what Rodney Mullen is to skateboarding. That is to say- their lateral thinking in their respective mediums is what makes them unique.
The Professor gained fame from an early 2000s streetball tour called the And1 Mixtape Tour on ESPN, which at one point was hotter than the NBA. The And1 mixtape tour was built around flashy moves and handles. There are a variety of reasons Fess didn't make the NBA, his size is definitely a factor. So now he has his own UA-cam channel which showcases his fancy dribbling, he would get ripped every time by the 13th man of any NBA team, if he had more size on him he could probably make the NBA assuming he chose to work on those skillsets.
Professor has become the most famous of the streetballers because of the timing of UA-cam and social media, but he actually does 90% of his moves based on the originators from the And 1 Mixtape streetballers like Rafer Allston (he was on the NBA streetball video) aka “Skip to My Lou”-also the only street baller to have a pro career-and “Hot Sauce”, the faster, original version of The Professor. Half of the moves in this video were invented by Skip To My Lou, the other half were invented by Hot Sauce. The Professor does have a few moves that are more or less original. There are actually a million of these types of guys all around America in parks and rec centers. They have amazing skills because they play every day their whole life, but the NBA is a professional league. The guys who make it are the top .01% in terms of size and athleticism, and they combine that with work ethic and attitude. Most of the great streetball legends lack in one or all of these areas. Or they simply aren’t focused, start messing with drugs and alcohol, don’t make the grades to get into college, or simply don’t have the intangibles like drive and work ethic to make it, I.e., go to a small college and wash out. Then they spend the rest of their lives as minor stars or local stars in their area. The And 1 mixtape tour was something that tried to gather these guys together for an exhibition league for steeetball. That is where The Professor first got recruited as part of an ESPN reality-type show where And 1 league traveled around the country looking for new streetballers for the league. You can find all this stuff online probably. And I’m sure you can find clips of the ESPN show and the And 1 mixtapes on UA-cam. A whole generation of kids grew up on this stuff, so it’s kind of funny seeing you discover it now and reacting to it. It’s kind of corny and old now, but I guess it’s time for a comeback-every thing that was old can be revived and made new again.
Alexander Ovechkin just scored his 700th NHL goal tonight. React to it. He's now 194 away from catching Wayne Gretzky for the most goals in league history.
He went viral on UA-cam challenging unsuspecting players on the street clad in a Spider-Man costume, and he did several series of this 😂 But he was famous even before that. He’s a legendary street baller, before doing UA-cam. If not for his height, he would have probably been a decent player in the NBA. I can picture him being a reliable point guard coming off the bench. Another legendary street baller you should check out is Rafer Alston, aka Skip to my Lou... he actually made it into the NBA. He was even good enough to become a starter in the NBA, so he was actually quite decent. But he was like the Michael Jordan in street ball before going to the pros.
Just sucks because they brrak every NBA rule in book. Traveling, carrying, double dribble galore. That is why they arent good enough to play in league.
The professor been around for a minute. And1 use to be street ballers who go to everybody neighborhoods across the country and play the best.. so he’s been around for at least 20 yrs in the game he looks young, but I’m sure he’s pushin if not 40yrs old
Streetball is a different world of basketball. It's based on 1v1 and creativity. It's a dirty trash talking game unlike the NBA or college. There are no refs just a unwritten code and its not uncommon to see fights. It has it's own culture, history, legendary figures and iconic courts that even the NBA players show up from time to time. The professor is a legend in streetball. He made his name in the early 2000s with the And1 crew. And1 was a basketball clothing company that focussed on streetball. They would make these mixtapes that would show off the best streetball moves and after a while they started sponsoring streetball players but you had to be the best of the best. The professor got sponsored when he was 18.
TheSinisterEyes1 exactly, professor would be trash in the nba, but a lot of nba guys probably couldn’t do why professor does. It’s entirely different skills.
I know this is an old video but I didn't see anyone else answer the question why he isn't playing in the NBA. He won a contest and accepted a contract from And1. He was in college at the time and college players are not allowed to be paid for playing basketball. So by accepting the contract with And1 he was no longer able to play basketball in college. To play in the NBA you have to play a certain amount of time in college basketball. So while the Professor does not play in the NBA, he does play basketball for a living and so he is a professional basketball player.
Definitely didn't have the size to play defense, and like you said he's very specialized. He's not in the NBA but he gets paid to play so he's a professional. Has been doing this for 17+ years (where I remember him from and1 mixtape tour) but has recently started doing a great job of promoting himself across social media
React to David Ayres and Scott Foster NHL Emergency Goalies. Each NHL team has 2 goalies, but the home team has a regular guy off the street is the emergency goalie.
The professor is basically like one of those trick soccer (football) players who can do cool dribbles and can juggle the ball in fancy ways but that stuff doesn't really translate well to the professional level. Professor is one of the top names in street ball though.
Back in the day the professor was a part of the And1 mixtape of the 2000s he's been doing it for around I would guess like 10 to 15 maybe even 20 years and the reason why he's not a professional players because he's older and he's shorter also because some of the moves he does aren't allowed but I think he just doesn't want to
if u want 2 see something similar but different i highly suggest the video "iso the best ball handler in asia". it's a short but nice video featuring some crazy handles.
The professor only played in some community college in Oregon cant remember where, but he is a fancy dribbler and has no other skills, he would be rendered useless against players who have done pro levels for years and even them admit they never will be good. Good reaction most people react the same but those of us who know his story just see him a great ankle breaker.
The professor got famous from AND ONE MIX TAPES...check it out there are tons of good ppl at street ball check out “And 1 mix taps” also check out “bone collector”
i like how theres so many comments here saying "he could never play in the nba" for whatever reason. i'm not saying he could, but not 1 person in this comment section could keep up with him
He's not a professional player because his game is all showmanship. Clearly he's got great handles but he's not athletic enough or big enough to play in pro leagues.
React to one of the following next: Jordan Kilganon T Jass layups Hot sauce Jimmy's this will never happen again video 👍👍👍 fans want this and so do you
basketball defense is all about spacing. in street ball he can dribble around and through a 6 foot players legs and have enough time to go around him and grab the ball...no way he can do that vs a 6'5" player with a huge wing span, he would have a hard time going around him, and also a NBA player wouldn't waste time trying to stop him from doing fancy dribbles, they only care about one thing...stopping a pass or a shot, not about stopping a dribble....no matter how much dribbling he did a professional would stand his ground and only wait for the actual pass/shot and at that point, their longer wingspan would win the match up.
At 5'10" & 155 lbs. just not muscular enough, quickness yes, hand eye coordination you bet, but defensive liability absolutely. N.B.A. wise take a look at "White Chocolate" / Jason Williams he had some amazing no look passes
The professor is a really good player that may have made the NBA but he would have been on the bench at best he probably could have played professional somewhere else but instead he decided to join a thing called And1 which was a Streetball group that was really popular back in the 2000s and I think 90s to you should really check it out cuz those guys are really good although only one of them ever actually made the NBA

React to bone collector he's a lot like this guy jus a bit better
Professor if better bruh what u smoking XD? Bone cant shoot for shit.
Just sucks because they brrak every NBA rule in book. Traveling, carrying, double dribble galore. That is why they arent good enough to play in league.
T&K Xo that’s the point, to do stuff u can’t do in a league
@@Walker-ww5su i agree. But i was replying to those who said he could play in the NBA. It made me cringe and laugh at the same time lol.
@@majcry4188 i meant at ankle breaking not all around game
You should react to T-Jass crazy layup compilation
The professor been around for a minute. And1 use to be street ballers who go to everybody neighborhoods across the country and play the best.. so he’s been around for at least 20 yrs in the game he looks young, but I’m sure he’s pushin if not 40yrs old
He got his start on the And One Tour it was a sensation for a few years please look it up.
He’s a famous street ball player. He used to be with a team called AND-1 big street ball players
Nice video! Javy baez is the professor of baseball.....give him a look at in the near future.
Kyrie could probably do all of those moves if he wanted too
kyrie is def better
Nah fam. Kyrie is better NBA player, so doubt. But he got some of his moves from the Professor. Put some respect on this man’s name
kyrie is the better athlete but the professor is an innovator and an entertainer but he's not a push over.
TheSinisterEyes1 exactly, professor would be trash in the nba, but a lot of nba guys probably couldn’t do why professor does. It’s entirely different skills.
He comes from a street ball league called And1. He’s been doing it since the early 2000s
Watch Lebrons top 35 plays of career please
No, the greatest dribbler of all-time is "Hot Sauce".
Hot Sauce definitely inspired Professor, Skip to My Lou (who eventually went street to NBA) definitely. You can see their moves, for sure.
HOT SIZZLE!!!!!!
Dom2k ranking nba MVP's (2010s) real great informative video
LUKA PLEASE REACT TO KTO’s “the game the nfl wants you to forget” as a diehard browns fan it would make my day
Definitely didn't have the size to play defense, and like you said he's very specialized.
He's not in the NBA but he gets paid to play so he's a professional. Has been doing this for 17+ years (where I remember him from and1 mixtape tour) but has recently started doing a great job of promoting himself across social media
Hes the bicycle repairmen of basketball.
React to David Ayres and Scott Foster NHL Emergency Goalies. Each NHL team has 2 goalies, but the home team has a regular guy off the street is the emergency goalie.
Another uploadd W
He has a video showing his trick playes used in the NBA. In the NBA they are rarely used, but they are legal and used on occasion.
I think you’d like Slamball, it’s kind of a mix of basketball and American football with trampolines.
Next video: british basketball fan reacts to crazy soccer plays
The professor is basically like one of those trick soccer (football) players who can do cool dribbles and can juggle the ball in fancy ways but that stuff doesn't really translate well to the professional level. Professor is one of the top names in street ball though.
Watch T jass layup package
He was one of the judges on the highest dunk reaction you did
Back in the day the professor was a part of the And1 mixtape of the 2000s he's been doing it for around I would guess like 10 to 15 maybe even 20 years and the reason why he's not a professional players because he's older and he's shorter also because some of the moves he does aren't allowed but I think he just doesn't want to
They ARE allowed: ua-cam.com/video/2zsjPkSthxE/v-deo.html
Street ballers with Street moves.More excitement, more fun!!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼take it to the (Street Dunkers)(React). Thanks
if u want 2 see something similar but different i highly suggest the video "iso the best ball handler in asia". it's a short but nice video featuring some crazy handles.
The professor only played in some community college in Oregon cant remember where, but he is a fancy dribbler and has no other skills, he would be rendered useless against players who have done pro levels for years and even them admit they never will be good. Good reaction most people react the same but those of us who know his story just see him a great ankle breaker.
Most point people can guard him he is just fast and has handles and find ways to get open shots
The professor got famous from AND ONE MIX TAPES...check it out there are tons of good ppl at street ball check out “And 1 mix taps” also check out “bone collector”
React to the cubs breaking the 108 year curse by SB nation
i like how theres so many comments here saying "he could never play in the nba" for whatever reason. i'm not saying he could, but not 1 person in this comment section could keep up with him
would be cool to see you check out some AND1 mixtapes :) insane streetball skills
he has been doing this since the mid 2000s
OHHH BABY!
He's not a professional player because his game is all showmanship. Clearly he's got great handles but he's not athletic enough or big enough to play in pro leagues.
Watch the Harlem Globetrotters legends video please
You can't get into streetball without watching Hot Sauce. You won't regret it.
I want to know why Professor hasn't really done any all star celebrity games. He'd be one of the talks of all star weekend.

👍👍👍 fans want this and so do you
Also Bone collector
basketball defense is all about spacing. in street ball he can dribble around and through a 6 foot players legs and have enough time to go around him and grab the ball...no way he can do that vs a 6'5" player with a huge wing span, he would have a hard time going around him, and also a NBA player wouldn't waste time trying to stop him from doing fancy dribbles, they only care about one thing...stopping a pass or a shot, not about stopping a dribble....no matter how much dribbling he did a professional would stand his ground and only wait for the actual pass/shot and at that point, their longer wingspan would win the match up.
he may not be an NBA pro...but he is still a Professional Streetballer.
You have to see The Bone Collector!!!! And Hot Sauce!!!!! Also go back and look at the And 1 Streetball Tour videos!!!
Can you react to Tristan Jass layups
Do Kevin Durant bro it's overdue
