- THIS GUY NEEDS ALL THE HELP HE CAN GET ! | Boats vs Haulover Inlet
Welcome back to another episode where man and machine attempt to do battle with Haulover Inlet!
This episode we are back home at Haulover Inlet. Who will take the win this week between Haulover Inlet and the Boats?
As always guys, if you enjoyed this episode of Boats vs Haulover, make sure to drop an anchor on that subscribe button and give it a thumbs up! We upload videos twice a week on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
Wavy Boats:
• BOATS CROSS THE MOST D...
Drain Plug Mafia:
• Bahamas Bimini Fling 2...
I keep seeing the police trying to rescue people with that boat and the rope. The rope thing doesn’t work. Would a swim ladder blow their budget?
That's what I was thinking. A temporary ladder hung over the side, like a pool ladder
They should have more than one officer on the boat
... or one fit officer... but probably at least two.
@@pantarkan7 real
You mean fat cop?
Police boat in that area should have a side-entry dive door.
That would make a lot of sense. I was thinking use a RIB because they are so easy to get into from the water.
Police are not the brightest bulbs in the box
You would think the police boat would have a swim ladder.
Yes, or get a boat with a swim platform in the back. An Olympic athlete would have a hard time climbing into that vessel in those waves.
That officer must be exhausted by the end of the day pulling in all the jet skiers .
Would have preferred to hear your commentary on the multiple jet ski saga that BoatZone showed yesterday, this was nothing compared to that one!
The fact that guy's life vest wasn't even zipped up told me everything I needed to know about his level of experience and competence on the waverunner. And no, it's not an excuse to say the life vest was too small for him. I also agree with everyone who said the cop should never have arrived on scene alone as someone should have been manning the conn while the other helped the victim aboard. The poor guy was already exhausted, he should have been led to the aft and a ladder provided.
All of the water patrol need custom made ladder that hangs on starboard or port side.
Ladder requirements;
Works on each side. Lightweight and east to manage for a 1 man crew. Must be secured and stored in close proximity of helm. Made of solid material (no rope ladder construction)
For once a video where they didn't tow the jet ski upside down.
A single cop on a boat without a lifting system is dangerous for the cop and those needing rescue. It’s insane that they continue to do this. The cop didn’t get him he helped himself. Not the cops fault.
Learning to swim would be a good start.
@@AquaMarine1000 He had a life jacket. He wasn’t going to drown. He needed to be recovered. That cop boat without a side door, swim ladder or sling and hoist is worthless for public safety. Add 1 cop, unless it’s a kid he isn’t going to get them out of the water. This was some PD assistant chiefs money grab.
Single fat cop.
Most people would try to load on the swim platform or at least the stern where its lower. Moron cop
Agreed. Funding cuts?
WTF, It wasn't even a boat, give us a break Bronco!🤠
Good point. It should have been called "doofus vs. Haulover".
Good video showing why you should properly wear your life jacket
That was a huge cluster of a rescue by the police boat. The jet ski guys should have just run the guy into shore and let the police deal with the capsized boat. Of course, root cause here is going out in a tiny boat in those conditions.
I hate to be the fun killer, but haulover is really no joke and skis should find another way to have fun.
Absolutely. Haulover is just too dangerous when so many vessels large, fast and small are all competing for the same small space
Just the sea conditions and no speed limit. People have died there, more certainly will.
👍👍
Bal Harbour needs a really Law Enforcement boat not this rebranded center console
I agree but we don’t know whether they already do, but this officer just happened to be the first available respond8ng unit.
If you are in the water and tired, you will have to hook your leg on the rescue boat's gunwhale - you are NOT going to pull yourself up over the side. Maybe dry and not tired, but wet , with a PFD on - no chance - hook your leg.
Just one officer in the boat ??? That’s. Not. Safe !!
The ref is bias
Extra guy on the jetski, should have jumped on to the police boat, to help pull guy in the boat.
But that's too easy... good ol' murican thinking.
That second "guy" is a kid. I would not put my kid in danger for anyone. Not sure what you would do in your second world country.
My boat is small for lakes. It had no ladder when I bought it, but one of the first mods was to add a wood deck to attach a ladder. I just could not climb the side like that guy is trying. That police boat should have a swim ladder.
To me this just reinforces again the dangers with these small crafts in these waters. I always loved riding them but these waters are too dangerous for these small and sometimes unseen vessels. Another tragedy was averted thank goodness
Wow. Good drama. Observation; could not the police boat, esp the hull, deserve some TLC ?
Agreed. Funding cuts.
I noticed something pretty important on this video but also especially on the video "on the rocks", the people in the water did not have the PFD on properly or had the wrong size. Next video if you could bring that up it would be a public service. PFDs don't offer the full protection if they are not properly fitted. Thanks, I enjoy your shows often.
I'm pretty sure I saw a report that the skier had a spinal injury. If that's true, all that struggling didn't do him any good.
HAULOVER K.O.!!!
the fire boat lost to Haulover
Yeah , how dare they edit in the fireboat stuffing and not mention it. Abuse
The police boat only has one officer and the boat itself has no ladder for rescue. Two in-shape officers would be hard pressed to pull this guy out of the water. He's over-weight and has an extra 20 pounds or so of wet clothing. What am I missing here?
*Edit* Looks like lots of people here beat me to the punch. Nice to see we're all on the same page and that this guy didn't become another statistic.
A big police boat… one officer only?! wtf?
Why do people who cannot self-rescue constantly find themselves in a situation where they put others at risk? I've had to rescue helpless swimmers who actually can't swim. Bloody exhausting when you have to effectively swim for 2 people 😰
Too bad he didn't have a boat ladder.
What a shitshow. That officer didn't really help. Having only one officer on the boat and no tuna door makes him pretty useless.
WTF? Police cannot afford a rope ladder?
That cop is constantly pulling people out of the water. He needs a different vessel and training for water rescues. No way that exhausted fat dude was going to climb out of the water directly on to the boat.
Too bad common sense isn't for rent like jet skis!
The towing company also takes a loss for not having a vest on their dog. Boo!
Why wouldn't the guy drag the guy on the back to calmer water? This looks like a complete joke
PFD not fit or even buckled!!
The police boat that responded first should have had at least 2 other crew members. One helmsman, and a couple of others to get the jet skier into the boat. Rescues seldom happen in calm waters, and getting an injured, or exhausted, adult into a boat is bloody hard work for just one person. A side ladder may have helped in this case.
Useless police boat for recovery
All these comments on what the police officer should and shouldn't be doing. This same Bal Harbour Officer has saved several lives with this same boat this month alone. He has been 1st on the scene on several occasions. Lets give him more props and less critiques on what he should and shouldn't have onboard.
haulover totally lost that one
sure man down in the water
rescue teams on the scene
beats davy jones locker
guy takes a nap, rests in custody on the deck floor
every body gets home for dinner
total loss for haulover
just stating the obvious
Old
Useless cop
One of the dumbest displays I've seen!
