Hi there, all the reviews from you are awesome stuff... I remember one of a Subscorcher custom for HSS that looked amazing... Too bad I´m on the other side of the planet. My daily is a CC OP2 that I absolutelly love, and thinking of a Lane Splitter as a complement for those days with push but not so steep takeoff. May consider the swallow tail after this video 🙌
I just picked this up with the square tail, to be honest it’s more like a thumb tail, pretty narrow. I’m 92Kg and used to ride the 5’11 36L RNF96. It was a great board but felt a bit boxy, could catch waves like crazy on it. Picked up the 5’11 lane splitter and it feels like a weapon. Hope that it floats me as it’s about 35.4L, should be enough. Thanks for the video, got me pumped for my next surf sessions here in Aotearoa. Chaaahooo
Nice talk guys 🔥 Coming from a RNF96 (32lt), intermediate surfer, 155lbs, looking for a performance board but less volume than my current board (sometimes feels too floaty when waves are good) what’s size would you recommend me ?
@@hawaiiansouthshoreI’d like but unfortunately no. Lib tech construction, 5.7, usually surfing beach breaks around french southwest coast (Basque Country and Landes). Cheers
@@felipep2666 If you looking into the Lane Splitter he has two size in your rage 5’8 19 3/4 x 2 9/16 31.1L 5’9 19 7/8 x 2 5/8 32.52L if the current 32 feels like a litle to much float go for the 31L. The Libtechs float close to a regular Poly so I think that will be OK You can always change then fins on your RNF96 Libtech V32 If your surfing it as a 2+1 try the Fanning Twin+1 link below www.hawaiiansouthshore.com/products/fcs-ii-mick-fanning-twin-1-fin-performance-core-white?_pos=1&_psq=fanning&_ss=e&_v=1.0 The leading edge of the fins are rounded so it make the board sit , not make it feel so floaty and how thru turns. @@hawaiiansouthshore Thanks guys that was very helpful. I have the chance to get a 5.7 swallow tail 29.3L for a reduce price, would you consider would be too big the jump (volume) ?considering I want it for surf fair to good conditions in a range 3-5ft. Thanks for the advice I currently surf MR 2+1 but I gonna have a look on the MF review. Cheers
@@felipep2666 it all depends on your paddling power, if you're surfing it on beach brakes that are not very powerful. I wouldn't go down too much but if you're surfing, a reef break in a shallow you'll probably be able to get away with it but when the waves get better and you're sitting in a deep water break. It might be harder.
@@viniciusaumond2139 So after talking to the reps for the brands Lane splitter if you’re looking for more of a twin with a high-performance feel with drive the Lane Splitter will be good Plus you’ll be able to use on solid over head days too. MR twin he MR California twin is a little bit more of a cruisey feel more rail, to rail surfing.

Would you pick Lost x MR Cali Twin Pin or Lane Splitter? Which one is better for a beginner/intermediate?
That's a tough one. The two boards are totally different.
What made you want the Cali Twin or the Lane Splitter?
