Do you sell the entire portfolio of $120 and re-invest it in the same index fund again and await growth? Or do you leave it to grow and continue buying in? Your better off just using total market index funds rather than specific sectors. It's hard to beat the standard market growth over time. Most hedge fund managers can't beat the market, you're not going to doing it part time.

I LOVE passive investing!! I prefer just dumping money in and letting it do its thing, while I get on with other interests! I just take a peek at them every now and again when I get the urge.
Great video as always. I’m just going to add to everyone new like myself. Be sure to understand the difference between mutual funds and exchange traded funds, what fractional shares, if the brokerage your considering offers it and if so what requirements you need to do so. I opened a vanguard brokerage not knowing these things and a lot of times my money just sat there not working because I didn’t have the minimum for their mutual funds and they don’t do fractional for their ETF. M1 finance and fidelity ended up working much better for me.

Great video as always. I’m just going to add to everyone new like myself. Be sure to understand the difference between mutual funds and exchange traded funds, what fractional shares, if the brokerage your considering offers it and if so what requirements you need to do so.
I opened a vanguard brokerage not knowing these things and a lot of times my money just sat there not working because I didn’t have the minimum for their mutual funds and they don’t do fractional for their ETF. M1 finance and fidelity ended up working much better for me.
