Please someone help me understand... i dont really understand ... its very different from other videos ive seen. i thought origin is the pixel being processed and when the structuring element hit even just by one pixel then the origin of the pixel being processed should be one ? For example : first column first row .. because the structuring element match with the one below it .. then shouldn't it be one ?
Hello madam... In ur presentation video, time 12:19 minutes u say 1st preform Erosion then perform Dilation for closing operation... Other hand u (time 12:38 minutes) say 1st perform dilation then perform erosion for closing operation.. Which one is correct?
Opening means first erosion and then dilation. So first we remove extra pixels on boundary and add pixels. Watch video on opening and closing operation for more clarity
@@TheVertex-Engg-Lectures mam in this video your explanation in 11:21sec about opening is dialation and then erosion please check it once. And after your explanation is excellent..
I have a question about dilation. Will the dilation happen when the structure element meets the pixel in the input image that is previously generated by the structure element. Like the 4th and 5th pixel in the 2nd row at 5:32. Thanks.
S =T(r) this is generalized equation. T is transformation function, S is pixel intensity of output image and r is pixel intensity of input image. Here our input image is same. Pixels added in previous raw are in output image not in input image.
@@TheVertex-Engg-Lectures : Can you please explain why in the Dilation - you have taken input image in the calculation every time for output steps but in erosion- why you have taken output images of each iteration as as input image for the next iteration?
Boundary extraction, hole filling, extraction of connected components, convex hull, Thinning, Thickening, skeletons, pruning.... Mam, your explanation technique is very nice! That's why I'm looking for your video..
Decent explanation, but why does every single Indian educator intonates sentences like they're teaching a class of 5 year olds. The pauses at the end of every sentence are so distracting.
@@TheVertex-Engg-Lectures oh don't get me wrong, I don't mind the accent at all, is just the way the last word in every sentence gets delayed for whatever reason. It's the sort of thing a kindergarden teacher would do to kids and I find it incredibly distracting. Your explanation is really good though and I thank you for it.

There are opening and closing two different operations
11:21 opening means dilation and then erosion
12:26 dilation and then erosion gives closing,
how its possible ? explain?

Opening and Closing is explained wrong:
Openinng is Erosion followed by Dilation
Closing is Dilation followed by erosion
Yes you are write, please refer opening and closing video.
I think you have made mistake while explaining because in dilation if something match to the structuring element it is 1
I think in dialation explaination it is some wrong
It's correct
The definition of opening and closing is wrong. I mean the video section 11:10 to 12:17

Someone should not make tutorial on something when she herself has not clear understanding of the concept. This makes students confused.
I am sorry if you didn't like it
