Reset your window on a 2009 Mini Cooper

Windows would not drop automatically and close completely after opening the door. Messed it up when I disconnected the battery when the window was open. Easy - open window and then close window and hold for 10 seconds.

Thank you, I did need to hold mine down for 10 sec and then up for 10 sec, but that fixed it. 2009 Mini Cooper. Happened after the battery died and was recharged with a trickle charger.

I have a 2012, mechanic caused this issue when they replaced my battery, went in the next day and one of the guys came out and looked at it, had me do this or something similar to fix. Now the only issue is the automatic function doesn't work with the switch to go back up.
I did however just attempt to hold for 10 seconds with it down then pressed it up, and lo and behold, that fixed the automatic😂

Let's reset the whole thing. Disconnect the battery and wait for a minute or two. Reconnect the battery. Go ahead and try resetting the window. Let me know if that works. Good Luck

I just did this on my 09 Mini, but it doesn't work unless the key is inserted in the ignition, otherwise works perfect.

My won't drop down, you have to keep pressing the button over and over until it's down or up.i tried your method, but it didn't work.
