The problem with the old Pegs is the React was too dense to allow the airbags to work and the shoe got better after 100k as the React broke down.
So the ReactX seems to negate that problem.
Wish they would do an Epic React with ReactX.
Love how you lot jump on these reviews! Big up Road Trail Run 🙏 Really wish they’d just add stack to the forefoot
More to come!
Who is "you lot"?
Thank you amigo. I have both the Vomero 17 and the Infinity RN 4. I enjoy them both a lot. The infinity run 4 is the perfect easy day shoe for me, I love the reactX, and with my build 6’0 190 I’m actually surprised at how often I find myself running faster paces in the Infinity.
The Vomero is a much better long run shoe and it feels way more “puffy”
For me, someone who has never run in the Pegasus, the only role I see this shoe playing is for travel walking / running / wearing around planes trains etc. I also tend to enjoy more stack in the forefoot.
If this shoe was out right now, I’d be stuck between this and the Pegasus trail 5 which I’m probably going to go buy tomorrow before my 12 day trip to Sweden starting Saturday. I enjoy your reviews - thanks a lot.
I'm similar with the Vomero 17 and Infinity RN 4 but I also use the Infinity RN 3 in my puffy run rotations. Being a 83kg runner (+10kg weighted vest) who walks/runs 100-150km a week, I need a more cushioned shoe but I will also consider the Peg 41 once my existing Peg 40s die out. I love my Trail 4 GTX as well and I'm sure you will love the newer Trail 5's.
@@frostbolter7250 ha I just bought the trail 5 a few mins ago & going to pick them up at dick today! I have another great cushioned trail runner, the arcteryx LD Norvan 3, but I don’t like using goretex in the summer as my feet sweat too much. Happy running!
Same here, at first I wasn't sure about Infinity but after some initial braking period they are my favourites.
I avoided the Vomero 17 because I didn't care for 16. Seeing you call it a good long-run shoe makes me reconsider, especially since it is on sale at the moment. Do you think the Peg 41 and Vomero 17 would be a good two-shoe rotation? What do you like about the Infinity RN 4?
@@thewalls7770 I think so as both shoes have different geometries, cushioning and stability so your feet will be tested in different ways. Definitely use the Vomero 17s for those runs when you want nice cushioning and my legs feel great regardless. They are even lighter than the Infinity 4s (which I like because of the rocker geometry but do get slightly irritated on my left arch sometimes but that is more my feet).
So far loving it. Had my first run this morning with the 41’s
Worth to buy?
Well the last Nike I had are the Pegasus 37. This is a huge upgrade from the 37’s.
It depends on what type of running you are doing.
For a daily runner I like them a lot.
@@philly95 oo
Dependable for sure. New runner market tend to favor design though more expensive like hoka, on, asics etc.
The bottoms of the 41's feel way more cushioned now. I've been using mine for about a week now, love em
Looks solid! Impressed.
Adidas Adizero SL2 with more lightstrike pro would be a good comparison when it comes out soon.
Good morning. Fantastic description. Another comparison: Pegasus 41 -Adidas SL.2. What do you think, please??. Like from 🇪🇸 Spain. Have a good day.
Great review ❤
Great review as always! I’m not quite sure based on states how this is different than a vomero 16.
I know the vomero has zoom X and cushionolon foam but to me the Pegasus was always a speedy shoe that offers ground feel and is lower cushion.
Either way the 37-27mm I feel like the Vomero and the invincible make a bit more sense to me, not quite sure where this Pegasus sits.
Thanks for the review! I wonder if they should have priced this at $130 to differentiate it more from the Vomero 17, at least in terms of price. I might try it at some point but am enjoying the Vomero for now (which I got on sale 👍).
I am thinking of buying a pair of Vomero 17’s next.
I was debating between the Pegasus 41 or Vomero 17.
How does it compare to Supernova Rise? I think the two shoes are close competitors
Rise is somewhat more deeply cushioned upfront and due to its support rods and outsole more rigid, firm at the ground and stable.
@@RoadTrailRun thanks for comment
Tried them just and sole seemed too firm, surprisingly firm. Looks nice though. Spoiled by 1080 probably. But what I can say for sure, react x on trail 4 GTX is way softer and more pleasant.
Some people prefer firm. Some people's feet don't tolerate squishy or unstable shoes.
@@toby9999 maybe Adidas supernova rise for those... Sure, not all like the same
I have never bought and even used Nike Pegasus Series. I think Asics Novablast, Adidas Boston series, Puma Deviate Nitro, Saucony Endorphin Speed are more better with energy return
Hope this version dosent hurt my forefoot. Both pegasus 38 and 40 gave ne serious forefoot pain
4mm more stack height of softer foam will help and does help but still on the thinner side.
how does it compare to nike infinity run 4? can you please do a comparison? appreciate it
You mention air units and zoomx foam and I think Nike is planning on a full air unit zoomx version I have seen out there in other shoe tuber vlogs
I misspoke. No Zoom X here Apologies
You mentioned zoom x in the intro which is incorrect, absolutely no zoom x foam in the Pegasus.
Sorry got a bit excited and you are correct no ZoomX.
WOW !!!
How do they compare to the Vomero 17?
Less stack more flexible. Vomero has a combo of Zoom X and EVA. Vomero is more cushioned a better longer run shoe but less agile quick feeling
I really do not understand why they have to complicate and add weight with that lace holes design
I like that lacing system. It would only add a few gms.
I had to size up half size with Peg 39 and 40. Hows this fit compare?
True to size for me in all Peg but yes 39 (didn't test 40) was low and snug over the toes. I bit more relaxed here but still a relatively broad but low box that settled in after some runs.
Good for plantar facilitis issues?
I would say not. You mean a more stable midfoot for plantar's. Something like ASICS GEL-Kayano or Nimbus.
👍
🇧🇷🔥🔥🔥
The nike zoom x pegasus? What?
Misspoken!
It is ReactX I wish it was ZoomX but the RaactX is fine
it seems like a Vemero 16
Kinda thin midsole.
Man the 10mm heel toe drop is outdated
No, it isn't. A lot of people like a 10mm drop. It's still very common.
Looks cheap and nasty
