      I'm so glad you enjoyed my finds! I've placed the vintage basket with the lock on Eric's dresser and it looks so good there! I'll have to remember to film it so I can show you. I hope you're having a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    I watched this video while prepping for Thanksgiving. Definitely helped lower my stress levels. I am in a quail/pheasant phase, too 😂 Birds, in general, are a lifetime phase for me. Great haul. Always truly enjoy & appreciate the information. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

    Martha Stewart magazine was where I discovered Springerle cookies. The magazine cover had Christmas cookies and one cookie had a little boy and snowman on it. This was years ago and I've tried making the cookies myself. A struggle but worth it.

      I've never made them, but you're inspiring me to give them a try! Martha definitely has great ideas - especially for the holidays.

      Not sure that the Bennington pieces are food related. The second piece looks like an insert for something. Does it fit into the first piece?

    I find it interesting that Erick found the two Bennington pieces. Looking at all the different sites on U Tube I really have not seen much about this Co. When we were in Troy,NY that summer we visited the pottery in Bennington, Vt as it wasn’t that far to go to. The only thing I bought there was what they called a trigger mug. Two rings to hold the mug. One should research the pottery to see how sale able their pieces are. 🍂🧡🍂Happy Thanksgiving to you🍁🧡🍁

      A viewer suggested that I contact Bennington Potters to identify the pieces. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that myself! Or better yet, maybe we'll take a ride up there one day and ask them in person! I hope you're having a lovely Thanksgiving!

    Indy looks so innocent. Made me laugh. When you held him up, he looked like he was saying, "Who me, destructo cat?" I always enjoy your tidbit of info. I am learning a lot. I loved tinkertoys and my brother loved Lincoln logs. The last Lincoln logs I saw were plastic. I was so disappointed.

    • @WorthingtonHome
      @WorthingtonHome  2 місяці тому +1

      Indy has definitely perfected his "who, me?" look of innocence - it's most effective right after he's broken something! Plastic Lincoln Logs is totally unacceptable. 😒😒

    Hi Kris 😊 I saw a blue Blenko jug. I was thinking that maybe that drying would sell good in the booth. The booth is going to be fabulous! 😊 The rabbit is my favorite out of the haul today lol. So sweet. ❤

    I’m SO glad you showed the Pendleton sheets you found - they had my name all over them! Headed to Homegoods and found them in the first store. They had one set and it was the size I needed.

    I try to get either Johnson bros or Church hill made in England. But I noticed I have some pieces made in Japan. I missed out on a huge lot that had all kinds of pieces that was $100. Some people just ask too much. I saw a lot in Staten Island the guy has two huge shops full of estate sale things. It’s just a long drive. Yet he has tons of items, might be a good day trip for you and Eric.

      I was thinking steamer as well, wasn't thinking pudding though. I think the Brits often do a steamed pudding for Christmas.

    I enjoyed all of your forays and finds. Yes, the painting with the bird is lovely, but it's a pheasant, not a quail (which is much smaller and less colorful). And I, too, grew up and still live in NY not very far from southwestern Vermont, so I have been to the Bennington Potters Yard many times over the years and have several of their pottery pieces. They do generally hold their value, but I would add a caution regarding being very careful about using their pieces for baking in an oven - they can crack very easily, so really can't handle very high heat or extremes of going from cold to a very hot oven. I also suggest calling the Potters to see if someone there can offer additional information about your piece and how it was used, even if it's no longer made. Good luck!

      I'm so glad you enjoyed my finds! Thank you for the info re: pheasants vs. quails - I tend to mix them up. I appreciate the suggestion about calling the Potters about the piece - that would definitely solve the mystery!

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I loved the information on Belleek. I have that little creamer. I love my Belleek tea sets and all of my other pieces, but one of my favorites is a large figurine of the Irish wolfhound. It was a gift from a dear friend from Ireland. She had an Irish imports store and I think this piece was a special piece for Belleek merchants. She knew how much I loved dogs. Sadly she is no longer alive so I always think of her when I look at it. Please keep that cute basket as you could make excellent use of it in your decor. Loved seeing Indy.❤

      Oh my gosh - I bet your wolfhound is AMAZING! What a treasure! I'm so sorry to hear that your friend is no longer with us, but how wonderful to have something special to remember her by. 💕💕

    Kris, love watching your adventures. I can’t get out like I used to. I am looking for Blue Willow pieces to go with my collection. Like a gravy dish, salt and pepper, small oval platters, butter dish Do you ever come across Blue Willow in your travels?

    • @WorthingtonHome
      @WorthingtonHome  2 місяці тому

      Yes, I just found a huge box of it for $100 - it contained lots of interesting pieces, but I didn't pick it up because I wasn't looking to invest that much money. I'll see if I can find some of the individual pieces on your list when I'm out and about. Blue Willow is so classic and elegant! One question - do you collect a specific manufacturer or does it not matter as long as it features Blue Willow?

    The bird in the autumn painting is a pheasant. Probably a ring neck pheasant. Quails are not as colorful, have shorter tail feathers & smaller birds.

    Is the Bennington pot for a pot chair?

    • @WorthingtonHome
      @WorthingtonHome  2 місяці тому

      Good question! I think we may contact Bennington Potters directly and see if they can tell us what the pieces are. A viewer suggested we go right to the source, and I think we're going to take that advice.
