I've been using the plastic and metal bobbins my mother-in-law gave me with her machine. Someone told me I should either be using all plastic or all metal depending on the machine. I never received a book with the machine and I just wondered if there was a difference. Or if there is how I would find out? Also I have pinking shears that belong to relatives who have since passed. Is there any way to get these pinking shears sharpened? Thanks again for all you do!!🧵✌️🕉️🐞🧵
Hey Lala, Ya I've heard that some machines it's best to use either metal or plastic bobbins in your machine. I go by the recommendations from the sewing machine dealer. You could always google your model and see what is recommended. As far as sharpening pinking shears. They can be sharpened. I take all my scissors to a sewing machine repair shop that also sharpens scissors. I know you can ship them out and have them sharpened as well.
I scored an expensive pair of pinking sheers for pennies on the dollar at a thrift store. Thank you for the tip on a sewing machine repair place to sharpen them.
Your chalk pen is cool 😍 I'm self learning to sew and have been using colored chalk that I use a pencil sharpener on or a basic pencil.
glad you liked it
