Looks likely a lovely place for a blank (if there is such a thing). A day out in nature, family visit in decent conditions. A carp would have been cherry on the cake butna quality day nonetheless! Maybe a 1ft below surface zig might have been worth a go. .....and irn bru? Oh hell no!
@@FreshFishing yeah for the sake of 10 minutes it’s reassuring to know you have a slow sinker i just mess about in my bucket so it can sit on top any moss etc and i use pva foam to top it off for a clean hook 🙂 good luck on your next trip

Tbf I didn’t think of zigs because the lake is only about 3ft deep but you’re bang on actually. 2ft zig probs would have done the trick…

What I have done to save room is put my pop ups in urine sample bottles saves carting loads of pots of pop ups around

Great tips tbf. I need to grab some more foam, we used it in France and continuously got bites which proves we were always presented well.

@@FreshFishing yes mate near Driffield. 3 or 4 decent size ponds to go at. Seen some monsters lurking around on the top. Decent pike aswell.
