Just drop a 5/8" x 5" bolt in the hole where the clips are. Problem solved!
If you want to get fancy you can also use 1/2 inch x 4" receiver hitch pins.
It really is as simple as that.

Yeah I welded up some spare rebar into T shaped pins. Worked like a charm. But getting those rocks out of the V's was quite a pain.

I have the 60" Land Pride box blade, pull it behind a LX 2610. Would prefer something wider as I am installing 3" Bro-Tec wheel spacers and they will make my back wheels slightly wider than the box blade. The 60 " doesn't have the problem with the tight spacing on scarifiers but those clips are a ridiculous system! I really appreciate this video, it prevents me from making the mistake of getting this BB. I found your video on installing the wheel spacers to be very helpful as well, so thanks and keep up the great video's!

Thanks. Yeah thanks to watching a video on an "Everything Attachment" box blade, and seeing how they have the same bitch system, but they use a long pin instead, so I'll be able to save my blade and use it, I'll just get rid of the clips. Check out the Everything Attachment box blade. They're pretty impressive, and hehe unique features like serrated scarifiers, and cut outs on the scarifiers for your hands to get a grip of them. I love that lx2610! Might've gone that way for my tractor, but they weren't out yet. I love my L2501, sometimes it's a little big getting into some of my tight spots, other times I'm glad I got the size I got. I only have 7ft doors, so the cab would definitely not be an option. I think next year I'm getting a rear finish mower. I've got a zero turn, but I'm constantly getting scraped by my big one trees, and the dust and pollen and stuff blow right back in my face, as I'm sitting literally 3ft above the discharge. Oh, and I love my tractor seat time! Glad my spacer video helped, I wish I'd of put my 3" ones on day 1! They made a HUGE difference.

Yeah I guess it's the "12" series box blade. Like mine is the 1266. The "05" series and "12" have the clip springs. I found out that Everything Attachments uses the same style notches to adjust their scarifiers, but they drop a pin down in behind it to hold it in place. It gave me a simple fix for mine that'll I'll make out of rebar or something cheap yet simple. I wish I wasn't in desperate need of a box blade when I bought mine, because I'd of gone 72" and heavier duty. I still love mine, what and awesome Attachment. Say hi to the family up there, and hope all is well!

Totally agree! Terrible design. Just sold my Kubota and had a picture of the tractor with an old Massy Ferguson straight blade. The guy who bought it said that he would like the blade too. I told him that I was keeping the blade for my next tractor but he could have the land pride box blade. I was going to keep the implements for the next tractor but I'd rather purchase a box blade from northern tool or tractor supply rather than deal with those dang clips! I did point out the hassle of the clips when he picked up the tractor and box.

    • @ironheadbiker

Yeah I actually took some 3/8" rebar, and welded up some "T"s. They drop right in, sit there by their own weight, and haven't fallen out. Very easy fix! I just bought a rear angle kit for my landpride rb3772 rear blade. $515 for the kit! $1,900 wasn't enough when I bought it, (I bought the largest one that could offset and have hydraulic eyes for future hydraulic controls. I didn't know at the time it takes a special kit to make it possible), I HAD to buy a proprietary kit only made by landpride to get it to work. It's the last landpride piece I buy, so I'm glad they made their extra money on me. Then, eventide m even though it has eyes for a hydraulic offset system, this model doesn't have a hydraulic system available. All the larger blades do, Landpride just used the main beam the larger blades use, so it has the eye in it for a cylinder, it just doesn't have the eye on the other side to make it work! I'll have to take it to a welding shop and have them weld on an eye. My welder wouldn't be strong enough to weld that thick of a piece.
There! I'm done venting! Lol. Landpride has become like John Deere with their over priced equipment. Very heavy duty, but way to much money for what you are getting.

@@ironheadbiker Good move on the rebar "T's". Makes sense to me. I was really interested in a hydraulic top link to be able to better control my box blades scarifiers and for quicker adjustment when angling my straight blade. The add on remotes were too expensive from Kubota. I was even thinking about upgrading my L3301 to a Grand L3560 with a cab but I would've had additional costs to add remotes to that one as well. I was very happy with the performance of the L3301 and how sturdy the box blade was but can't justify the costs to get the extra functions. I'm nervous about buying a potentially inferior machine to get those functions. I'm going to try a NH Boomer.

Yep, that's my deal as well, my Kubota dealer is 4 miles away. I think I used either 3/8" or 1/2" rebar. Anything to drop behind the scarifiers to keep them wedged into place. It doesn't even need to be a tight fit. I'd guess those v clips are 1/2" wide. The pins I made are nice because they're so simple, and you don't need tools or even take your gloves off. They kinda over engineered the damn clips.

I would not buy my box blade again but for a different reason. I have the BB1248 (the 48 inch version) for a sub compact tractor. Access to the blade release clip is clear but I have not yet had the stone in the gap problem mostly because I have not used it much and only for light duty. However, I do have a beef with Land Pride. One of my shanks broke during light use. Turns out it was a defect, there was a crack in the metal at one of the slots. It was obvious as there was original paint in the crack that showed when it broke in half. POOR QUALITY. Second and worse is Land Pride is not responding to my request fro warranty replacement of the shank. Total silence. How does anyone make a warranty claim? I only used the box blade for about a month. I sent Land Pride pictures of the defect, no response. I will not buy any more Land Pride products.

Yeah that's pretty bad. I'd weld two shoulders beside each one tall enough for a pin, then you'd have to do a little different for the two middle ones to support and have long enough pins to go through the beam... Piss poor design, good video though.
