I normally have used all different types of sponges to create texture and hardened brushes. I love your videos! I'm starting to airbrush again. Watching you inspires me :))))
@8:20 looks a bit like a, two days old -road rash from pavement with large gravel bits. great work, great colors, great stencils. brilliant none the less!
Nice bro, I'm working on a bicycle that I have done marbleized. Ever thought about using saran wrap/plastic wrap for this design? Scrunch it up just like the paper towel. Same process, different effect
That’s awesome! I’ve been working with drier sheets and sponges. Semi-related question: I’m aware that shooting more volume would best be solved with a larger gun. However can I up nozzle/needles with a “standard” size airbrush or is a larger gun my only option? Thank you!
Thanks for your comment it really depends on the brand some airbrushes like the Paasche VL (I used to use one) would come with a fine , medium and large needle and you can just swap the needle, nozzle and air cap to suit. With iwata if you want a larger needle then you need to buy that brush ie..the revolution comes in a 0.3mm and 0.5mm setup but you need both they are not interchangeable, at least as far as I know 🤔👍🏻
I do makeup for a haunt and I have an idea for a makeup involving bark and found your video. We use airbrush makeup at our haunt. You asked about methods for doing texturing. We use makeup wedges that we rip the ends off of to get a textured effect for some things. Could be useful if you'd want to try that.
Thanks mate , very rarely I used to use it more back in the day but I just set my psi and over thin my paint these days and go for it . Happy New Year to you and your family hope you had a good one 👍🏻
@@andrewnegri4678 glad you had a great Xmas and new year, the mac valve is handy I may need to do a vid getting into more detail 🤔 the CMSB is super responsive and yes the trigger feels touchy as it’s SO smooth, you may find that if you wind in the trigger tension ie. compressing the spring so that it creates a tighter throw on your trigger may make it feel a little less sensitive for you until you get the feel for it 👍🏻
I would thank to this video is amazing , to begginer. I am from india and i want start airbrush paint to bike and cars , so i want to buy total items about airbrush . Give me all details pls . Tnxxxx
I’ve airbrushed a car on a sneaker about 7 years ago but happy to do a mini painting , I actually prefer to work small as I’ve airbrushed artworks on harleys for so many years and it’s always tiny murals which are fun to do 👍🏻
Help! I am trying to place an order. It meets the requirements for free shipping but it keeps trying to charge me $75.00 in shipping. I keep trying to change it but can't. The order is sitting in my cart till this is worked out. Please help me cause I really want to order these products. Thanks
Hi There thanks for your comment, I assume you are referring to AirShot stencils I will send them a screenshot now of this comment so that they can get in touch and help you out. 👍
@@AirbrushAsylum The site is called Trident DNA custom paints using the link you provided. Is that the same as the Airshot stencil site? Im trying to buy the paints and additives you use. and since its from another country ordering 200.00 gives free shipping according to the sites policy. But I will look at the screen shot you provide and go from there. Thanks
can you tell me why we use the reducer if we are using the transparent base? Do we use them both at the same time? I purchase a lot of each because I saw that's what you used but am not sure why? lol do you have a specific video about these two products? Thanks for all your help
Ok sorry I thought you meant AirShot, if you can send me an email airbrushasylum@me.com and I will see what I can do you can also try sending them an email first as they are very reliable 👍🏻
@@dianavestal850 the trans base is essentially a colour less binder use that to make a colour more transparent ...then add reducer to thin depending on which brand I generally run less reducer in colours that are made up using trans base 👍🏻 hope that helps

Thank you and yes I use that wrap when creating the marbleizer effect but great tip as it definitely could work for this 👍🏻
My Gsi creos ps 770 on the way.I'm so excited already.
You won’t be disappointed, it’s a fantastic brush 👍🏻
One great technique I found is the use of a plastic bag scrunched up and placed down to cause the same kind of texture effect
Nice effects.
Thank you so much glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏻
Try using a cosmetic sea sponge, great effect.
Yes great idea...thanks for the comment 👍🏻

Hello how is it going ? love the art work and videos you make .. was wondering what type of paper you airbrush on? Thank you
Thank you this is canvas but I use Blair Synthetic paper when airbrushing 👍🏻 available from schoolofrealism.com
