That plug you removed to run the cord out is already a 12 volt output port. Just pick up a connector that fits it and plug straight in. I use one of these to power my wifi modem when the power goes out. It also powers my Milwaukee jacket.
I was thinking the same thing. This seems like a lot of work to attach a cord with a questionable connection permanently. Which voids all warranties and gains you nothing.
How would I do the opposite? Make a cordless M12 tool run from a 12v Car battery (for emergencies?) I can't figure out how to mimic the Thermistor ("T) connection
Hello sir, can we run from a car battery an m12 tool like a cord tool? I saw in other tools that we can do it. Have you ever try it and if yes I’m interested to know
I was thinking of trying something similar but with M18 batteries and the broken base from a drill. Want to create my own work light, do you have any tips or experience I could use?
great way to kill your lithium battery. so many people hack these things by connecting directly to the battery cell terminals which bypasses the low voltage cut off. save a few dollars until you over discharge the cells a few times and your up for a new battery.

Never thought of the wifi thing thank you!
does the battery's have o low voltage shutoff because if they dont you will over drain the battery and it will not charge no more???
1x right angle battery adapter for Milwaukee 18V M18 XC18 dock power connector
Someone sells similar idea on Ebay . Very simple.

you can just put a spade terminal directly into the positive and negative of the battery
So what exactly did you do
Bro I dont even remember what I was doing...so confused haha

Zildran m18 power source. what I am going to use.
Zildran They sell it on eBay it’s called an M18 power source or M18 power dock. Sells for under $15.

So basically all it is is the plug-in part that is different? There's no voltage regulator or something like that turning down the volts?
Damn I thought we were fixing to run a m12 tool off a m18 battery with a buck converter..
