Isabella Sermon. She deserves better afterJW Fallen Kingdom and Dominion. THEY WERE SOOO BAD!
@@chasehedges6775 I agree with you @chasehedges6775💯👍. I didn't enjoy Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom and Dominon. Isabella Sermon has a Amazing, awesome acting career.
I miss Julianna Rose Mauriello.
if they are happy where they are now, then none of them, Hollywood is a bitch and can twist a good person, and they are probably better where they are now, happy and doing what makes them feel fulfilled.
These child actors are legends. They did their jobs, had their fun and went their way.
I know. But at the same time I was also gonna say that quiting acting career was also a missed opportunity since they could have been paid millions of dollars and be rich too. But I guess they do whatever they want I suppose
Enough said.
@@arinhossain2100 Not everybody is worried about being rich.
They really aren't, Angus T yeah but most of these people's career just timed out...y'all just exaggerating
@@abellewis3062 I know, but even though they do whatever works for them, it was a missed opportunity at the same time. And yes, you're right
Mara Wilson was such an icon during her acting career. The fact that she's so well recognized even today is a testament to that. I'm glad she's found just as much success outside of Hollywood.
She had a small role in the adult UA-cam series call Hellava Boss
@@DLR1997 I saw that, she was great. Hearing her swear like that was kinda surreal.
The seamless fusion of nostalgia and contemporary relevance in your ' video is profoundly moving, effectively conveying a powerful message of growth, resilience, and the timeless legacy of these iconic stars. *DO YOU AGREE WITH ME*
Mara Wilson made my childhood amazing in Matilda and Mrs Doubtfire.
Honestly, these child actors made a good choice by getting regular jobs.
👍👍👍. Yep
Don't forget Thomas & the Magic Railroad.
@@joshmontemayor1212 I did!
if I'm right, thomas and the magic railroad was her last movie role before she retired from acting.
Did you know Mara Wilson is actually Ben Shapiro’s first cousin😂 I don’t think they get along or speak to each other anymore
I'm happy that all these child actors are living a good life 🙂
Same. It’s heartwarming
Mara Wilson penned a Cracked article on the reasons why child stars become messed up adults. At least her parents kept her grounded, ensuring that her success didn't go to her head.
A child actress talking about why child stars end up messed up is TIGHT!
Read the article. It was really interesting.
@@voutsider190 I’ll check it out at some point
Her mom died when Mara was 6 or so. The last thing I think she did was 2000's "Thomas and the Magic Railroad."
Did you know Mara Wilson is actually Ben Shapiro’s first cousin😂 I don’t think they get along or speak to each other anymore
Honorable Mentions:
* Lori Beth Denberg - From playing sketch characters in Nickelodeon's All That to officiating weddings.
* Margret Langrick - The fromer actress known for playing Sandy Wilcox is now the CEO of the publishing company Wonderwell.
* Lisa Jakub - The former child star from Mrs. Doubtfire and Independence Day now works as a yoga teacher and writer.
* Troy Slaten - Jerry Steiner from Parker Lewis Can't Lose would later be a candidate for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge.
* Julia Winter - The actress who played Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory gives up acting to become a nurse.
I loved Mara Wilson in both Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda
Amazing actress in absolute classic 90s movies
She was also in Thomas & the Magic Railroad.
I liked Mara Wilson in Thomas and the Magic Railroad
I forgot about her in Thomas & the Magic Railroad!
@@thomasbowers1210 she was 12 years old at that time
So basically they all either became Lawyers, Doctors or Scientists
Instead of coke heads. I enjoyed this story!
Ross Hull (Gary from Are You Afraid of the Dark) is now a meteorologist for Global News Toronto.
I see Mara Wilson, and I click. I just watched Matilda last night and all I got to say is that I love Mara sm, I’m so happy she’s doing okay now.❤
Actually, Mara Wilson is doing voice acting today.
I remember Mara Wilson as Lily from Thomas & the Magic Railroad.
Matilda
@@chasehedges6775, I haven't seen Matilda. Thomas & the Magic Railroad is the only Mara Wilson movie I've seen.
Yeah I remembered.
Even tho they live normal lives now, they’ll always be legends no matter what.
These Child Stars actually made the right choices and I’m proud of them to be honest🙂
Matilda is a great classic movie to watch imo about the girl herself who has genius level intelligence, and the ability to use telekinesis with her eyes. Just imagine if we could really do that, and the only other fictional character that I know Mara Wilson played is Lily in Thomas & The Magic Railroad, which that movie did not deserve a poor review by critics.👩🎀
Matilda is a childhood 90s classic
_TATMR_ really screwed over the reputation of its franchise. Yes, Thomas became a household name, but for the wrong reasons, and the film fostered a misunderstanding of the series that has persisted since then, to the point where its nickname within the community is _"Thomas and the Tragic Failroad."_
@@Daniel_Huffman, honestly, my only major gripe with the movie is Thomas' lack of screentime. Other than that, it's a solid movie & a solid closing to the "All Ages" Era of Thomas (Seasons 1-5 of the the TV series & the 2000 Magic Railroad movie).
Telekinesis literally is with the mind....holy fuck😂😂😂
Wow, Josh Saviano sure had a glow-up 😮 😍 I remember back in the day when everyone thought he was Marilyn Manson 😅
Mara Wilson also voiced a teacher in Helluva Boss who sounded like Ms Honey in personality
EXCUSE ME SHE DID I AM LOST FOR WORD\(°o°)/
@@mileyrodriguez9432 season 1 episode 1 of Helluva Boss
She was also Lily in Thomas & the Magic Railroad.
I love Mara Wilson as The Faceless Old Woman in Welcome to Night Vale! She's an icon.
Mara Wilson is so charming!!!
I didn't knew Stephanie and Matilda could ever get normal jobs, but now i know. So, thanks Ms Mojo and a happy wednesday to you as well, take care and i hope i see you soon for more, take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia.
This is so nice! Even though they’re not an acting they still ended up successful and happy and that’s the most important thing ❤️
Live free, do what makes you happy with no apologies.

I wish Macaully Culkin would’ve stuck around after the first two Home Alone’s and My Girl
Eh, he’s living his life
Although living a happy life, I'd still love to see him in another movie.. the guy was incredibly talented at his craft and uniquely so. "I'd like to see how his craft has matured?". I can't help but enjoy a wonderful artist. 🎬🎥🎭🍿
He still acting he just takes like breaks now and then lol
Isabelle Fuhrman, Isabella Sermon, Freddie Boath, Dfane Keen ❤️♥️
What about Jennifer stone (harper) from wizards of waverly place she is a full time nurse😊😊
I came here to say this. She worked ER during the pandemic
Glad Ross bagley is doing well in his life 😊
Good for them.
Definitely
At least other child stars like Miranda Cosgrove, Raven-Symone, Melissa Joan Hart, Michelle Trachtenberg, etc. are still remained active over the past years.
👍👍👍
Despicable Me 4 comes out next Summer & Miranda Cosgrove will most likely return for that.
I know almost everyone will associate Mara Wilson with Matilda or Mrs Doubtfire, but I actually associate her more as being the first voice heard for the Helluva Boss series after the pilot episode
To be fair, acting is a normal job as well, which relies on effort to gain success.
👍
Cool to all. Enjoy your life sweet peoples❤
Same here. They’ve earned it.
There’s nothing wrong with that, they made the right choice. It ain’t easy.
👍👍. For sure
So many underrated ones shown ive always known and love❤❤ thanks so much❤
I was kind of hoping to see Tiffany Brisette on this list. I watched "Small Wonder" as a child mostly because I had a crush on her. She's a nurse now, I believe.
Yes she is. I watched an interview of her here in youtube. She should have been included.
The Little boy who played in Problem Child also played in the tv series: Amen~ ❤
Love to see all of these poeple that survived a hollywood childhood! Sadly a lot of them don't come out unscathed.
I absolutely love stories of successful actors going into other fields!
7:13 - She's now doing far more for the world than she ever could in front of a camera ♥
Legit everyone did law, and then like two or three did some type of science and two other people did business and Marketing😆😆🥹 good for them… they also went to good school, esp to though those who went to Ivy League😆
It's interesting that none of the kids who stopped acting as teenagers didn't fall off the rails. Makes me think how they be treated when they stay acting.
What about Danica McKellar, Winnie Cooper, from the Wonder Years? She’s a mathematician & also writes children’s books.
She is also still acting, never left.
My favorite child actor is Steve Smith from American Dad. Such a great little actor. I met him once and he’s just as sweet in person!
so many of them got in to law makes you wonder if they got screwed by the contracts
Peter Ostrum was our vet. So cool, I had no idea who he was when I was a child. lol
Love Josh Saviano. I’m so happy for him and his success in his law career.
The Grady Twins weren't twins in real life if memory serves
I use to watch Matilda every day on VHS
I didn't know that kay panabaker quit acting
Th-Th-That's Hollywood Life, Folks!
I grew up with all these kids. Love this
!
This video should just be called child stars that became lawyers as adults.
I hope the child actress, Isabella Sermon, who played Maisie in Fallen Kingdom and Dominion is doing well. She was fabulous in those movies, even though they were terrible
They were terrible?
Maybe in YOUR opinion.
I loved Mrs Doubtfire and Matilda. Mara’s acting were superb in both. Glad these child stars (big or small roles) became successful outside of acting unlike their counterparts child stars who continued acting but resorted to drugs and died prematurely.
I don't like many of these countdowns but this one was very entertaining.
Just goes to show fame and fortune are nice, but they’re not everything. But if acting is something you’re passionate about, I feel like those things are still secondary.
18:52 she still a star of _Lazy Town_ show
What is a not normal job? I think categorizing jobs into "normal" and "not normal" is not a good idea. What does that even mean? "Normal" is one of those adjectives that's really hard to define because everyone has a different definition of it.
Normal- that which falls within the norm. Since acting jobs are scarce, they are not the norm.
Excaclatly it's not like any of them are working in a supermarket.
I'd love to see Amazon create something special for everyone of these shining stars to act in... perhaps a mini series mystery? They're each far too good for Hollywood in my opinion. I am however happy they've all applied their majority of genius intelligence towards their successful futures of present day.... being they each so deserving.
"Funny to have unexpectedly found this entertaining special due my lasting interest and often curiosities about a many of these people." I truly appreciated and enjoyed their talents then and will love to enjoy them again today. Thank you for sharing this special... your efforts proved incredible!❤️😉💯
Matilda was one of the kids in Mrs. Doubtfire. Like Timon & Pumbaa of Lion King she eventually got her own show. That's when you know a work is iconic, when the side characters get their own shows.
Gary Coleman became a security guard. He should have been listed considering how famous he was as Arnold in Diff'rent Strokes.
This is a good post because it shows positive outcomes of child actors with good endings. It is exploitation in the negative to show less than complementary and unfortunate outcomes.
Great to see some child stats that went on to lead successful lives in and out of the spot light in their chosen profession
Michael Treanor - Was Rocky in the movie 3 Ninjas but now has a PhD and is an Assistant Project Scientist with the ADRC
Mason Gamble who played Dennis the menace is a marine biologist.
Redrum 🎉 Danny Lloyd! Wow!
For someone who thought was in a family drama, he was believable in the scenes when he was scared, like seeing the girls
Charlie Cosmo also did "Can't Hardly Wait" in '98 and had a pretty decent role in it.
the guy who played chuck said he knew he peaked in his acting career, so he wanted to quit while he was on top
Problem Child was my sister's all time favorites,it's lol funny.
Goodvideo
Its always cool to see that
I would love to see Matilda on screen again so much I wish they could make a 2nd,3rd,4th Matilda of when she was a adult with super powers.
Heidi Zeigler
Curtis Baldwin
Mason Gamble
19:48 on top of that Hollywood was trying to force her to do prom films and she said no.
I want to see Mara wilson
If only Mara Wilson could done just a few more movies before she retired
All grown up
I am happy they made it out successfully. A lot of child star end of on drugs. Or worse.
Your ' project serves as a cinematic masterpiece, inviting viewers to delve into the captivating world of 1960s Hollywood and then accompany these actors on their inspiring and enduring journeys through time. *DO YOU AGREE WITH ME*
Oh okay!
So lawyers come from actors 😂
i would love to see peter ostrum appear in a reboot of the chocolate factory, maybe like as the guy at the beginning who tells him "nobody ever comes out"
At least I get to follow some of these people on Instagram.
Matilda’s powers are similar to Carrie and Racheal
What happened to kids from film chipper by the doudon I love ❤ this film
Pebbles Flintstone had a decent career as a breakfast cereal promoter .
Peter ostrum used to work at my vet but I heard he retired but still works with large farm animals like cow and house in up up state new York
Our youngin has a friend that looks just like the little boy from the shining. Even his hair was like that when he was that age. He's older now
Glad they're successful Having loving parents+Having a schedule as a child Mighta helped their organization/communication skills❤
Angus T Jones is worth 20 million dollars and will probably grow as two and a half men will be in reruns for years and he will collect residuals. His production company job seems like a hobby
wow i wasn't prepared for that yell, that yell seriously hurt my ear.
Left out, Emil Minty and Heather Ripley.
What about Frankie Muniz? He’s a racer now.
Then there's Shirley Temple .....
Ross Bagley did a good job on Fresh Prince Bel-Air. Amen.
Mara Wilson, severelar episodes of Melrose Place (season 2) too.
So Law and Veterinary-work seems to be on the top
In 1985 I was in the beavers parade (Canadian equivalent to the scouts) now I work a 9-5 job. I would’t say I’m much happier. But at least I’m not being molested now.
Matilda is my favourite movie of all time
