How much do you charge re chrome bumper off an MG it is a bit pitted and a small amount rust but in quite good condition thank you Andrew.

Do you not use any HCL/muriatic acid for deplating? Is there any advantage to using electrolysis as opposed to acids?
Yes. It is quicker and more controlled. HCL attacks steel much quicker than nickel etc, so it would not be effective.
Can you re-chrome pot metals; door handles, hood ornaments, etc?
Yes. We are currently filming some pot metal parts going through, so should be uploadede in a few weeks.
Question: Can you nickel plate cast aluminium?
Yes, but it needs a special pre-treatment. Also cast can be problematic due to porosity.
Is the coating affected at the points where it directly contacts the copper wire?
Some of the plating goes onto the wire instead of the workpiece. This can cause a wire mark, but with experiencey you can wire it to minimise or eliminate this.

Hello im subscriber from indonesia. What liquid do you use for removing chrome sir?
Sulphuric acid approx 70% with water. Density must be kept near 127 degrees twaddle. Also glycerine is added at about 2% by volume
Why no copper for the first step.
Because the weather protection is from the nickel layer.
