I have all the symptoms. Diagnosed with ME/CFS in 2020, which researchers are finding is caused by damaged mitochondria. Why aren't these researcher working together? ME/CFS sounds so similar to PMM. I'm getting to the point where I can't swallow. I've lost 25 pounds in 2 months because I can't eat. I'm terrified and doctors don't listen. I can't walk, shower, stand, get to the toilet on my own. My husband had to retire to be my full time caregiver, and I've deteriorated steadily over the past four years . I'm pretty sure I'm dying.

My doctors suspect a metabolic myopathy. One doctor mentioned possibly mitochondrial. I hope some can diagnose me soon as my heart is involved.

Could I have this from 30 years of SSRIs, and 12 Ciprofloxacin. I cannot function. It destroys mtDNA. Muscle wasting. Broken voice box. Akathisia. Gut problems. White goo in mouth. Burning. About 40 symptoms.

I think I have this & I was on ben-z-os for 15 years....in withdrawal & even now I have horrible fatigue & am basically bed bound w very weak, stiff muscles...I was almost paralyzed at one point. I had ophthalmoplegia (eye gaze paralysis) which has since resolved but my eyes are still very weak & damaged w heavy eyelids. Spinal compression. Also agitation bordering on akathisia. Weakened diaphragm muscles, rib cage & voice. Many other symptoms.

You could have nerve damage and mtDNA damage from the Ciprofloxacin.

I really hope you find some good advice. It's definitely not easy.
