I love Candace too! Great topic today. I love that quote by Flowers fear is not the opposite faith, but sight. Which is true because even scripture says Walk by Faith not by sight. I will say WAIT ON THE LORD. I was single for 13 years, I never BOWED to discontentment and rushing out of it. But, I trusted Him regardless of the time. Even to the point I remember confessing that if He wanted me to wait till I was 40 or 50 to get married, I had to trust that was going to be the BEST way. But, I met my husband at the end of 2023, we got married in 3 months, and today everyday I tell God, Wow! I'm glad I waited on you. And not just waited in discontentment, but in total peace, joy and expectation.
That professor sounded absolutely weird, but maybe he had a crush on you. You know how boys treat girls they like awful lol. May be a long stretch to say that, but that's very ODD behavior just to have out of nowhere. The only other explanation is he was allowing the enemy to use him, and that's more sad.
