As a Hindu, I realised that I actually know more about Christianity & Islam, but lesser about Hinduism. Time to change.

But how do u know more about Christianity or Islam ?
Did u read about it or what ?

Yes because Hinduism is a very vast and oldest religion with a lot of secrets and history unlike the recent ones

Also, Krishna defeated Jarasandha all 18 times when he tried to attack Mathura. But he knew that Jarasandha is after the land and will never bog down from his relentless attacks. So, for the larger good of the people, Shri Krishna took all his men & women from Mathura and left for Dwarka. He's not called "Ranchhod" because he was defeated by Jarasandha, but is called Ranchhod because he left the battlefield and took his people with him leaving no man behind.
is this written by Ved Vyas and or in any puranas or are you just repeating stories you've heard?
@@namehere2986 Had you ever picked up Vyasa Mahabharat other than reading facebook fan pages, you would know.
When and how did Krishna die?
@@pastorjosephsingh4947 I don't take "pastors" seriously but since you've asked, Krishna died in Mausala Parva of Mahabharat by a hunter named Jara's arrow on his feet. He purposefully left his feet vulnerable when Maharishi Durvasa asked him to apply frumenty on his body. He did not apply frumenty on his legs. Hence his entire body was indestructible by weapons but not his soles.
Now tell me when and how did Jesus die? And why those who killed him are having a branch of christianity named after them "Roman Catholics" ?
@@BrightKnight24 Thanks! Firstly, don't you think that story is also in Greek mythology- the Achilles heel? Now to your question. Is it that you as a well read wise man really ignorant about the death of Christ and the Roman Catholics? Firstly, Jesus Christ was crucified by the Roman Empire in Jerusalem. He was tried by the Jewish courts or Senhedrin but since they had no way of executing Jesus they took Him to Pilate. You can read about His death which is given in every detail in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Interestingly, Jesus had also foretold his death nearly three times directly to people which is recorded and you can read about it. But He also told them on the third day I will rise again from the dead. All these are prophesied about Him in the Old Testament. The joy of all this is the good news that after dying on the cross Jesus rose from the dead on the third day ans showed Himself for forty days. On the fortieth day He ascended to heaven and promised to return again to judge all men living and dead. Now about your next doubt and question. Please see the next part.
Really loved the fact that real truth is out now. The youngester really need to see the whole truth before making any comments

विपद: सन्तु ता: शश्वत्तत्र तत्र जगद्गुरो ।

vipadaḥ santu tāḥ śaśvat
tatra tatra jagad-guro
bhavato darśanaṁ yat syād
apunar bhava-darśanam
Synonyms
vipadaḥ - calamities; santu - let there be; tāḥ - all; śaśvat - again and again; tatra - there; tatra - and there; jagat-guro - O Lord of the universe; bhavataḥ - Your; darśanam - meeting; yat - that which; syāt - is; apunaḥ - not again; bhava-darśanam - seeing repetition of birth and death.
Translation
I wish that all those calamities would happen again and again so that we could see You again and again, for seeing You means that we will no longer see repeated births and deaths.
Purport
Generally the distressed, the needy, the intelligent and the inquisitive, who have performed some pious activities, worship or begin to worship the Lord. Others, who are thriving on misdeeds only, regardless of status, cannot approach the Supreme due to being misled by the illusory energy. Therefore, for a pious person, if there is some calamity there is no other alternative than to take shelter of the lotus feet of the Lord. Constantly remembering the lotus feet of the Lord means preparing for liberation from birth and death. Therefore, even though there are so-called calamities, they are welcome because they give us an opportunity to remember the Lord, which means liberation.
One who has taken shelter of the lotus feet of the Lord, which are accepted as the most suitable boat for crossing the ocean of nescience, can achieve liberation as easily as one leaps over the holes made by the hoofs of a calf. Such persons are meant to reside in the abode of the Lord, and they have nothing to do with a place where there is danger in every step.
This material world is certified by the Lord in the Bhagavad-gītā as a dangerous place full of calamities. Less intelligent persons prepare plans to adjust to those calamities without knowing that the nature of this place is itself full of calamities. They have no information of the abode of the Lord, which is full of bliss and without trace of calamity. The duty of the sane person, therefore, is to be undisturbed by worldly calamities, which are sure to happen in all circumstances. Suffering all sorts of unavoidable misfortunes, one should make progress in spiritual realization because that is the mission of human life. The spirit soul is transcendental to all material calamities; therefore, the so-called calamities are called false. A man may see a tiger swallowing him in a dream, and he may cry for this calamity. Actually there is no tiger and there is no suffering; it is simply a case of dreams. In the same way, all calamities of life are said to be dreams. If someone is lucky enough to get in contact with the Lord by devotional service, it is all gain. Contact with the Lord by any one of the nine devotional services is always a forward step on the path going back to Godhead.

Karna’s Karma
Introduction:
Is there any Indian who has not heard about Karna? As a major character of the Mahābhārata epic, it is the case that Karna’s generosity is never in doubt although his dharma is nearly always brought into disrepute. There are many who think that Karna was a much misunderstood character of the Mahabharata.
However, there are many more who think that Karna was “evil”. I do not attempt to take sides in this dispute, but I do seek to set the facts straight. Readers can decide which side of the debate they wish to stand on: the side of Karna or the side of Arjuna. The aim of the first part of this essay (divided into a few parts) is to point out the verses which support the position that Karna’s position was against Dharma.
Pramana 1: Verses from Adhyaya 91 of Karna Parva:
In the 91st Adhyaya of Karna Parva, we find the understanding of why Karna’s
Dharma had indeed faltered terribly despite having an amsha of Surya himself. This monologue arises when the wheel of Karna’s chariot has sunk into the mud and Karna requests Arjun not to shoot an arrow at him citing Dharma. Sri Krishna asks Karna why he could not differentiate between right and wrong ((ie. where had Dharma disappeared) when he had advised Duryodhana to poison Bhima and to get him bitten by snakes?
Sri Krishna asks Karna why he could not differentiate between right and wrong
(ie. where had Dharma disappeared) when Duryodhan, Dushasan, and Shakuni (born of Saubal) had summoned Draupadi who was in a single piece of cloth and menstruating, into the courtroom?
Sri Krishna asks Karna why he could not differentiate between right and wrong
((ie. where had Dharma disappeared) when the Pandavas did not get their kingdom back despite the fact that they had completed their Vanvasa ? (verse 4 above)
Sri Krishna asks Karna why he could not differentiate between right and wrong
((ie. where had Dharma disappeared) when he had tried to burn the Pandavas
alive?
Sri Krishna asks Karna why he could not differentiate between right and wrong
((ie. where had Dharma disappeared) when he had seen Dushasan holding and
trying to strip the menstruating Draupadi?
Sri Krishna asks Karna why he could not differentiate between right and wrong
(ie. where had his Swadharma gone) when he was staring at the menstruating and innocent Draupadi with his eyes?
Sri Krishna asks Karna why he could not differentiate between right and wrong
(ie. where had his Swadharma gone) when he advised the helpless, menstruating and innocent Draupadi that her husbands were now going too Naraka/ hell and hence she should wed somebody else? All this while he was continuously staring at Draupadi with his eyes (perhaps full of lust? Perhaps full of greed? We will explore later).
Sri Krishna goes on to say that when he (Karna) had enticed the Pandavas to play a second game of dice using the help of the cunning Shakuni, because of his greed for the kingdom) where had Karna’s Swadharma disappeared?
Sri Krishna continues that when he (Karna) had surrounded the (bala) 16 year old Abhimanyu inside the Chakravyuha with all the other Kaurava warriors and killed him, where had Karna’s Swadharma disappeared?
After this long monologue detailing Karna’s misdeeds, Sri Krishna says that Karna cannot be freed of the consequences of his deeds in this lifetime, no matter what Dharma (good deeds) he would now try and perform. (The significance here is to Karna’s Daana perhaps) We see that Karna is far from blameless in the entire episode. He was by far one of the most powerful Kaurava warriors. Why did he not stop the attempted public disrobing of Draupadi? In fact, from Krishna’s words, we see quite the opposite: we see that it was Karna who advised Dushasan to disrobe and humiliate Draupadi. This clearly would be against Kshatriya maryada and karma. In fact, Karna repents for his mistake much later but by then the damage has been done.
Discussion:
The Anjalika Divyastra is described in some detail in the text of the Mahābhārata even comparing it to a Kritya invoked by mantras invoked by Angirasa Rsi and which caused the four directions to become illuminated including the sky and the earth. Seeing the Divya astra Anjalika, the whole of nature quivered in fear and the Rsi’s started chanting mantras to pacify nature. Here, Arjun says something very interesting which I reproduce: Arjun says in verses 46 and 47 of chapter 91 (GP) that “If I have satisfied my Guru with my service and if I have performed tapascharya, then let the power of my truth (embodied by my arrow) finish off my extremely strong enemy Karna.
At the same time, if we take ourselves back to chapter 90 (GP edition), then we see that Karna has forgotten the one thing which will save his life: The Bhargavastra of his Guru, (Mahatma) Parshuram. What is that verse? This verse is verse 82 of the preceding chapter 91 which explains that Karna’s mind could not remember the Bhargava Astra of Parshurama which could have saved his life. The word Bhargava is of course derived from the root which appears in the celebrated Gayatri mantra. Perhaps here the idea is “that which could have illuminated his mind” chose to desert him at the crucial juncture of his life. We get a similar idea from the preceding verse of this chapter which says that the curse of Parshurama caused his wheels to sink into the ground at that crucial juncture. Here is that verse: The words “Kaalo Hyadrsho Vipra Kopann darshayan karnavadham
Bruvanah” explain the severity of the karmic consequence which Karna got caught up in. However, in the first part of the essay, it becomes quite clear that Karna was far from blameless in the sequence of events which occurred. Could Draupadi have cursed him too? Perhaps she may well have. The duty of a strong and powerful Kshatriya would be to stop Draupadi from being humiliated by being dragged into the assembly in a state of undress. Karna in the end was undone by his own misdeeds and the tears of a woman.

In my opinion- regarding Eklavya, probably Dronacharya must have been considerably worried- seeing the pitiable condition of the dog- whose only way of expression is barking, and Eklavya caused the dog such pain with him stitching up the dog’s mouth with his arrows- Dronacharya wanted to teach Eklavya a lesson- and also, maybe as a guru, in foresight he was concerned about the kind of destruction that Eklavya could bring about- due to his temper issues!
Naah bro, accept it ,drona charya really did that bcz eklavya might have stronger and skilled than his favourable candidate arjuna. And also i didn't got the point why eklavya want to learn skills from dronacharya, don't he knew he was "Rajguru" of Hastinapur, means he only teaches hastinapur's prince's

This episode of Kunti praying to Lord Krishna is in Srimad Bhagavatha Mahapurana. It is not folklore. It is part of purana, though the episode is not part of Vyasa Mahabharata.
Dekho bro jo puran likhe gye vo bhakto dwara likhe gye apne parambrambh ke gungaan me
2. Jo puran hai vo history nhi hai hamare bharat ki usme bhot saari katho ka sangrah hai jisme jiwan jine ka dhang bataya gya hai aur bhot chote chote point bataye gye hai jisse bhot kuch sikhne ko milta hai BUT
Jo ramayan aur mahabharat hain vo hamri history hai (jisme bhot milawat ho chuki hai foreign invaders ke dwara) bahut kam hi महाभारत और रामायण aapko genuine milenge usme se sabse sudh geetapress ka kha jata hai to Ye hamari history hai simple😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
@@soul_dragger9998 Srimad Bhagavatha Mahapurana was written by Veda Vyasa only. I am only saying that the episode of Kunti praying to Lord Krishna is in Srimad Bhagavatha and this episode is not folklore per se.
srimad bhagwat mahapuran is an itihasa. its written closely in almost the same timeline of mahabharata by the same author... Maharishi Veda Vyasa. Its the first authentic itihasa scripture to tell us about the life of Shri Krishna, followed by the garga samhita.@@soul_dragger9998
@@KM-vi2bkbhai unhone bhakti bhaav se mana nahi Kiya hai ki galat hai suno toh sahi se lekin vo ye keh rhi ki usko leftist apni baate banane ke liye use karte unpar dhyan nahi dena hai
@@SOHAN_SINGH111 I am only clarifying and correcting that the episode of Kunti praying to Lord Krishna is in Srimad Bhagavatha Mahapurana and it is not folklore..Folklore means myth or some cooked up story..Whereas puranas are not all myth or all mithya per se. Also, Vyasa Mahabharata and Valmiki Ramayana are full of bhakti bhava. Whether one likes it or not doesn't matter at all. Both the ithihasas are not only just ' as it happened' but also full of bhakti bhavana also. The beauty of Ithihasas is that they are wonderful from all angles..Hindu Ithihasas and Bhakti can't be looked in isolation completely. So, one can't separate out bhakti from any of the Hindu scriptures, because the ultimate goal of every Hindu is Moksha which can attained only through proper bhakti and self surrender to Supreme Lord.
Amazing , thanks for creating this.
It feels more soothing the more I learn about my deities. Jai Satya Sanatan.
Justifying Dronacharya's act of demanding Eklavya's thumb is pure evil .. and Dronacharya faced karma as he died in war by cheating .. and his son cursed forever. That is the moral of the story intended by Vyas.
Eklavya ne bhi Karan ki tarah guru se bina puche sikhasa li thi
Aaj aap kisi private teacher ki khud ki likhi hui book jisse vo apne khud ke students ko sikha rahe us me se chori se sikhoge to uske man me bhi aapke liye gussa hi aayega
Arjun Dronacharya ka favourite students tha fir bhi usse narayanastra ka gyan nahi diya tha to Arjun ruka nahi usne aur bhi kai guru se sabhi divyastra ke gyan liye jisme sammohan astra ka to Dronacharya ke paas bhi koi tod nahi tha
Per Dronacharya ne bhi galti ki aur unhone adharm ka sath diya isliye vo bhi mare gaye aur Drustdym ne unke head ke bal pakkad ke unka head kat diya tha jo usnka apman hi tha

bilkul sahi
I totally agree.."aajkal sb toot k alag hona chah rahe h, judna nhi".
Kashiram Das was a Bengali poet of 16th century who translated Mahabharta into Bengali which is most popular version in Bengali, and in his version Karna was potrayed as 'danveer' & unfortunate.... so it is totally wrong that, post independent writers potrayed Karna in a sympathetic way
it is wrong that writers have portrayed Karna in a sympathetic way SINCE independence.. it is NOT wrong that writers post independence have depicted him in a sympathetic way. This is evidenced by the numerous movies and shows and serials where Karna has been depicted as such.
Brother please make a video on Bhavishyamalika 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm so glad to hear the truth thank you guys ❤❤❤
Wonderful discussion
I heard that after eklavya lost his right thumb, he started practicing with left hand, so he was called the left handed warrior
No, according to mahabharat eklavya continued to practice with his right hand but could not shoot arrows with same amount of skill as before . In entire mahabharat only arjun could shoot with both hands with equal skill ( hence he was given the name savyasachi)

About the first portion of the podcast, Kunti Devi really told Krishna, & it is really true because it mentioned on the Bhagavatam Mahapuran ( Mahabharat & Bhagavatam both are written by
Maharshi Krishna Dvaipayana Vedavyasa :
SB 1.8.25
विपद: सन्तु ता: शश्वत्तत्र तत्र जगद्गुरो ।
भवतो दर्शनं यत्स्यादपुनर्भवदर्शनम् ॥ २५ ॥
vipadaḥ santu tāḥ śaśvat
tatra tatra jagad-guro
bhavato darśanaṁ yat syād
apunar bhava-darśanam
Synonyms
vipadaḥ - calamities; santu - let there be; tāḥ - all; śaśvat - again and again; tatra - there; tatra - and there; jagat-guro - O Lord of the universe; bhavataḥ - Your; darśanam - meeting; yat - that which; syāt - is; apunaḥ - not again; bhava-darśanam - seeing repetition of birth and death.
Translation
I wish that all those calamities would happen again and again so that we could see You again and again, for seeing You means that we will no longer see repeated births and deaths.
No.
Here is what that verse is about:
The verse 1.8.25 from the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam is a part of the prayers offered by Queen Kunti to Lord Krishna. Queen Kunti is a central figure in the Mahabharata, and she is known for her deep devotion to Lord Krishna. In this chapter, she is expressing her heartfelt devotion and admiration for Krishna, recognizing Him as the Supreme Divine.
The verse 1.8.25 in Sanskrit is as follows:
विषान्महाग्नेः पुरुषाददर्शनादसात्सभाया वनवासकृच्छ्रतः ।
मृधे मृधे ऽनेकमहारथास्त्रतो द्रौण्यस्त्रतश्चास्म हरेऽभिरक्षिताः ॥
Translation (by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada):
"My dear Krishna, Your Lordship has protected us from a poisoned cake, from a great fire, from cannibals, from the vicious assembly, from sufferings during our exile in the forest and from the battle where great generals fought. And now You have saved us from the weapon of Ashvatthama."
In this verse, Queen Kunti is recounting the various life-threatening dangers that she and her family faced, and she is expressing her gratitude to Lord Krishna for protecting them in each of these situations. She acknowledges Krishna’s divine protection and expresses her unwavering faith in Him.
This verse highlights the theme of divine protection and the grace that the Lord bestows upon His devotees, which is a recurring theme in the Bhagavata Purana. Queen Kunti’s prayers are often cited as an example of pure devotion and surrender to God.

Some highlights of Mahabharat/Vyas rachit Puran:
Dronacharya was teacher of Karna too
Eklavya was cousin of Shri Krishna.
Bhishma and Shakuni had cordial relations.
Karna did not donate his kawach-kundala but traded it for Vasavi Shakti.
Karna did not forget the use of Brahmastra as per Guru Parshuram's curse and in fact, hurled Brahmastra on Arjun in his last battle.
Eklavya carried shoes of Yudhishthir during Rajsuya yagna,
Barbarik character is not mentioned anywhere in Vyasa Mahabharat but is mentioned in Vyasa's Skanda Puran.
Maharishi Durvasa asked for frumenty to eat from Krishna and also asked him to apply that frumenty on his own body. Only place Krishna did not apply frumenty was his leg. Maharishi Durvasa told him that his entire body became indestructible except for his legs. Krishna finally died due to arrow hit on his leg.
What is frumenty?

Ami Ganatra is amazing both in terms of depth of knowledge and the way she explains! Karna has been over glamorized by recent books and serials. Yes, some injustices happened to him but he himself justified many more wrongs!
The story about kunthi praying Krishna for more troubles is TRUE. It is mentioned in Bhagavatha mahapuranam written by sri.veda Vyasji himself.
It goes like this...
vipadah santhu nah shashwath thatra thatra jagadguro....
It is in first skandha, 8th chapter, 25th shloka.
This shows the pinnacle of Bhakthi kunthi had attained and is a lesson for us to reach that state of surrender.
SO, TO DISCUSS OUR SACRED. GREAT HINDU SCRIPTURES, MAKE SURE TO HAVE
PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ OUR SCRIPTURES EXTENSIVELY AND WITH KNOWLEDGE OF OUR DIVINE GREAT LANGUAGE SAMSKRIT (not sanskrit). They should have read the scriptures themselves instead of reading translations by half baked people. Nowadays it has become a fashion to discuss our holy scriptures with people with nil knowledge. Hope the point is driven home. We hindus don't have 'sar tan se juda' culture.
In purana not in mahabharata. History is mahabharata rest written in praise of gods and may be a history but purana include many local stories as well
@@lokendermathur9566
Puranas are also written by veda vyasa. Science in encrypted in the narration. We people don't understand that. The whole picture can be understood ONLY with extensive study of puranas and not just some parts here and there or hearsay. What is untold in one scripture will be found in another.
So , to discuss our sacred scriptures , it is better to invite people who are well read and understood the concepts.
