This is a great track. A really interesting version of this on her first LP from back in the 80's Open on All Side in the Middle, which was one of my favorite LPs of that time ... Geri is one of my 3-4 favorite pianists because she's truly got her own sound and I dig it

    Spellbinding.
Beyond chops, beyond boldness, even beyond experience,
    lies
    VISION.
    And she's got it.
    Cookin' RS too.

Ralph Armstrong on bass, I don't know who the drummer is.

The drummer could be Lenny White.

@@luiszuluaga6575 It could be Lenny White if Lenny White changed his entire appearance and learned to play his ride cymbal with his right hand. It's the great Ralph Penland on drums, as noted above.

While it’s fair to critique or respond to any particular work of art, no matter how direct or incidental the artist or performer intends, I think it’s important to at least explain your opinion to the world since you felt it was important to express your lack of enthusiasm for this particular musical offering. 🤷🏻‍♂️🥲

@@luiszuluaga6575 it is reperative and lacks direction and impetus.

@@monsterjazzlicks Just remember that Geri Allen dedicated her life to music and as a result has a large volume of output. Obviously not all of it is going to ring your bell but it just sounds to me that your comment was more of a criticism than anything. Just to watch Geri play with any musician on stage and you can see that not only are they on a higher level of communication with each other but they love and support each other. You see, that is what jazz musicians do not only as creators but as human beings. Ultimately that should be our take away from watching things like this.
