The backfiring is one of the TLR’s quirks it’s normal. I own a 2000 mode with the exact same colours. I’d chose it over any of those others even if I had the extra cash and only because I much prefer the looks of the Suzuki. the yellow stands out from the crowd and the sound through race cans turns heads everywhere it’s mind blowing. The motor is smoother than the others and makes more power. It’s very stable too. I don’t have any issues with the handling. Honestly I can’t fault the bike. It’s perfect for me.
Yeah I personally like the back firing. All the guy had to do is remove the pair valve. Problem would of been solved for like 40 bucks.
So Richard Hammond obviously got his Job with Top Gear, the 1st episode of new top gear was on the 20/10/2002 and as we can see this episode of UBH aired on the 22/10/2002 so we can see that his last episode of UBH was episode 19
Had a white/blue TLR.. great bike. Had a 916..loved it. Currently have an RSV Factory.. Love a big twin me 👍🏼

I came across this series in 2013 !! Enjoyed watching all the episodes . Great idea ! Entertaining and informative ... Question : Now biking has moved forward tremendously and is growing in popularity . So why dont we have a new Series with new bikes on the same lines... Would be great ... Where are the producers ? The presenters are excellent .

I guess Richard was saved from this show to get ready for old new Top Gear. This show is quite fun to watch but could have been so much better.
I can't understand how the people who come on the show to chose a bike are lucky, when they still have to pay for the bike.
They don’t have to buy one of the 3 bikes I’ve seen an episode where they don’t purchase one of the bikes on offer but get to ride them all😉

Had a 2000 for 7 years, felt the same, miss it, funny that
old series, but with bikes i understand and have riden and know, i lost intrest in this kind of bikes when all the expensive electronics came in.
i mean ABS ok i get that is goid to have as a safty, but anti spin and traction control and different mides for driving is not needed at all really, dont buy bikes like these if you need that to ride them.
I'd take one of these over the 2017's any day. The throttles now are electronic and sloppy, tail fairing miniscule with no trunk or passenger space, small exhaust down by the footpeg, plastic fuel tanks, ugly fairings with large bits cutout, much weaker chassis, and overall very ugly looking bikes. its a half second quicker but so what.

What a terrible selection to choose from for a commuter bike.... Why he wanted a snatchy V twin sportsbike to go into London on beats me
All are great bikes, but for commuting, forget it😂😂 Get a VFR800 or something of that ilk.

Haha you may not beleive this but he is my dad, no he hasn't got fake tan his mum (my grandma) is African so he has darker olive toned skin aha my family tree is so weird with the ethnic backgrounds and stuff aha
