I use it on my very Caucasian, bleached, and colored to Hell and back hair once a week (or once a week and a half) and I am in LOVE with it

I love it on my starter locs in conjunction with coconut oil as my conditioner. my hair is so soft..btw DON'T LISTEN IF A LOCTICIAN TELL YOU NOT TO WASH YOUR HAIR FOR 6 WEEKS!

I finally found it in Sallys. My hair has never been so soft after I used it! I hate the smell but I loved the way it felt on my hair. I loved it! Glad I got 2 bottles!

I agree, it definitely smells like play-doh. I love it though. I bought it about two weeks ago at Walmart, and my hair has already grown about an inch! I use the shampoo and conditioner. I also love that it's completely organic! I'll never switch back to any other shampoo or conditioner!(:

I have only used this products for two weeks and my hair is so much longer now . its the best shampoo I have ever used in my love life.
Don't know about the texture, but I loved how incredibly clean your scalp looked (is that weird lol). Gonna try this shampoo when I run out of my trade joes.
I just bought this at the beauty supply store by my house the other day. It washed my hair so good, It rinsed off good and my hair didn't feel stripped. I just threw some of the serum on let it dry. My hair is so soft now!!!!!
Glad you like the shampoo, I'm totally in love with it!! This is a go to product and I don't know if its just me but less is more with this shampoo. It lathers well and you don't need as much.
I've used Shea Moisture's Yucca and Babao shampoo off and on, and have been pleased with it. I'm sure this new one is good like you said it is too. They should be sending you free stuff by now!

I don't know anything about deep conditioners or hair masque or leave in massage but now by watching your video I'm ready to grow my hair thicker and longer and make my hair stronger so I should go with this shampoo and conditioner and it's full line
Hello lovely. Do tell how you use JBCO and ACV in your skin-care regime? I use normal castor oil to clean my face once or twice per week: Coat face with oil;, steam into pores using hot face-washer; then wrap it around 1st two fingers and in circular motions, exfoliate skin; splash face with cold water to close pores; finally, apply jojoba or hemp seed oil which absorbs beautifully. My skin is left feeling refreshed and youthful! Please share yours regime!

Jasmine I just bought and used this shampoo I have medium micro lots and soft 4c/3b hair. I needed something to breathe life back into my hair from this harsh cold weather and this shampoo is fantastic! I've had trouble finding products my hair actually likes :)
Oh and I agree with you it does smell like play dough LOl I was a kindergarten teacher and I know that scent very well LOL!!!

I used this for the first time yesterday. It was a good clarifying shampoo that didnt feel as stripping as the African Black Soap shampoo. Will definitely use when I need a good cleansing. I would say you hair looks 4bish.

Looks like it left your hair moisturized, instead of dried out? If so that is incredible, your hair does look 4b/4c.
My cvs only has the leave in conditioner and styling lotion. I got both for $4.12 each cause I had a rain check and 25% coupon. I've only used the leave in today and my hair feels so soft! It also made de-tangling much much easier.

i also got she shea moisturizer deep treatment hair mask, I have their leave in conditioner. i like to put my pink hair wrap over my hair when using the leave in conditioner and mask. when I used the shampoo I worked it in really well and let it set for about an hour.

Sha'Coya Zimmerman Thank you! Have you looked into Alikay Naturals? She has a line for locs. I'm new to the loc community( just put my twist in), so it's going to be a minute before I can use conditioner. I've used a product from her line and it was good.

Thanks for the review Jazzy I've tried other products from Shea Moisture when I was a loose natural and my hair was like no bueno but that was before I found out my hair does not like Shea Butter Go figure any hoot I will ordering from their site because I don't feel like hunting this product down and I want to try the whole line out especially the deep conditioner not a lot of love for us loc wearers when it comes to the deep conditioning products. Hopefully I've found a holy grail product if not ,Alikay is next on list.

Girl when this came out, I walked into my CVS and grabbed the only 2 bottles that were there. Never mind I'd never tried the product before. Told myself I could always return one bottle if I didn't like it! And I really liked this shampoo on my locs! I like the fact that it is not as thick as the other Shea Moisture shampoos. 'Cause rinsing shampoo out them locs is work! Did you use the conditioner too? I find that doing a hot oil treatment after my first wash and only rinsing out (instead of washing out) the oil is enough to leave my hair moisturized without making my ends too soft. (My texture is 4C).
I haven't used any other product in the line just cause I worry about buildup in my locs

Not sure what your hair type would be, but our texture looks alike. Is your hair still damp in this vid? If so, does your texture look the same when dry? I ask because damp hair can look like a different texture as opposed to what it looks like dry.

I am so happy you did this review. When I heard Shea Moisture had a shampoo with Jamaican Black Castor Oil and ACV I too got pretty excited but I haven't actually tried it yet. I definitely will though especially since you said it washes out easily, THATS GREAT. My locs tends to hold shampoo in them :( Anyways thanks again Jaz

I have another question Jasmine: when your locs reached neck/collarbone-length (and beyond), what did/do you do to preserve the ends and therefore length? My growth seems to have plateau'ed since reaching that length. I've been told to do more styles that tuck in my ends. However I find that: I've grown tender-headed. My scalp itches and tightens within 4 days of a new style. So I would take it down, moisturize, and restyle every 4-7 days, which defeats the purpose of leaving my ends un-bothered. Also, styles I do to tuck in my ends involve bending them, which it seems defeats the purpose as well. As a result, lately I've just been wearing my locs down, but I have a bad "fingers in my hair" habit I'm trying to cure, and with the cold season here, I can't afford to leave my hair out much longer. Any advice?
It may seem like your hair has plateau'd but I don't think that's the case. For me, I didn't think my hair could grow any longer but I had so many ppl tell me how much my locs have grown. Try not to worry so about about the length because it will grow; you'll just have to be patient. To keep your hands out of your hair, try wrapping it up with a pretty scarf or just put it up in a bun.
