No, I hope Veronica will regret doing this. Lauren is best at her position and I don't want her gone. I don't care about relationship trouble. But she's perfect fit for her work at ED, the best of Dr. Bloom. I just want her to be fully healthy, normal away from drug abuse.
Thank goodness Lauren is talking with someone! This is already a big first step, admit that you need help. I am actually not against Lauren take a break from her work if what is at stake is her own wellbeing. She is on the edge of breaking down so take a couple of steps back to build herself back together is not selfish. Naturally the way she was let down by that awful boss of theirs is unacceptable, but I have no doubt this will be a move she will regret greatly, Lauren is just too good at her job lol
People come and go from new Amsterdam so don't worry guys even if she lost her position doesn't means at all that she is leaving the show, it only means we are in for more drama

Oh Lauren baby, if Leyla knew what you were really feeling she wouldn't be pushing you to stay. In the same way that she doesn't want you to leave because of her, she doesn't want you to stay if it means staying is making you miserable. I'm happy Helen gave her the permission she needed to do what is right for herself because that's the most important thing...do what is right for you and the rest will take care of itself.
I am all for Lauren leaving for her own personal sanity, I hate that Veronica pushed her when she had decided otherwise, but I don't think this break will be permanent and it will be good for Lauren in the long run. Max will come back and Lauren will always have her job if Max is around, so while Max fights to get the hosptial back, Lauren can take the time to reasses and figure things out for herself so that when she does go back to the hospital she's healthier and feeling better about herself and life.
I agree with you if that's what best for Lauren at the moment. I hope Leyla would also understand and they could finally work thing out when Lauren come back.
@@Qbonbon Honestly, I think Leyla does understand, this episode showed that she still cares very deeply for Lauren. I just think that it's difficult right now because the emotions are fresh, raw, and still very painful. Since Leyla has not lost her opportunity to be a Doctor, I think there is hope that the pain and anger will fade away and she will be able reconnect with Lauren on an emotional level.
@@tulzm6594 Yea. But Leyla better be understood before Lauren depart, or she might think she drove Lauren away; then she might think she shouldn't state either.
@@Qbonbonwith respect, I don't think Leyla will think she drove Lauren away. Maybe with the exception of Helen, Leyla is the only other person who will know enough about Lauren's demons to know that a break from the hospital could be good for her. I think its good for them to take things slow. I think if they rush things they will make things worse, it's better if they take things slowly. Their relationship will be stronger because of it.

Go spend time in therapy and with your sponsor Lauren, you need that right now more than Leyla’s love. You can only be a better friend and lover to Leyla or anyone else if you find yourself, love yourself better and forgive yourself. You are then able to give the people you love the best version of yourself. We may hate Veronica for this decision but it is a Blessing in disguise for Lauren. If she didn’t get fired she would have stayed (no thanks to Leyla asking her to stay and not let her patients down) and eventually will relapse...she’s an inch away from relapsing. Now it remains to be seen how Lauren uses her time alone..for good or ?

Lauren ha comentado con Verónica que está pensando en renunciar a su puesto. Layla intenta convencer a Lauren para que se quede. Le dice que ha pasado por otras rupturas antes y que puede soportar trabajar con Lauren, que las Urgencias y el hospital la necesitan. En la escena con Helen, Lauren le da las pastillas que sustrajo de una bolsa de un paciente. Son anfetaminas. Y le dice que está abrumada y que se quiere ir (básicamente no quiere perdonarse por haber dinamitado su relación con Layla) Helen le dice que si por su paz y su sobriedad necesita irse que se vaya, que ella y su salud son lo más importante. En la escena final en el consejo, Verónica delante de todos le recuerda a Lauren que había mencionado que tal vez renunciaba. Lauren le dice que eso era antes, pero que se quiere quedar. Verónica dice que eso no puede ser porque ha aceptado su dimisión.
