Pure simplicity, commuting and touring I’ll take the gsxf. But the CBR 600F AKA hornet is bad-ass and imo the best example of a compromise between a supersport and street bike out there.
this doesn't mean jack, you need a road with an overtaking lane and need to start at the same time, if anything this proves which is the better rider in corners not the better bike in corners.
Both engines sound wonderful but the honda powerplant seems so relaxed. In my opinion the Suzy 750's engine is a clone of Honda's air-cooled 750. This Honda is the most beautiful and efficient of all Hondas. The engineers deserve all my repect.
Bear in mind when they first came out the cbr was a sports bike and the gsx a sports tourer the gsxr 750 was the sports bike, compare them and see what happens.
love the GSXF, nobody likes them until they ride them....on a road like this you dont need much more to have fun and they cost naff all.good vid but those poles got bloody close to you at times
oh,bud..had mine for two years now......wont win any awards for style but they are far far better than most would expect, because you expect them too be crap! Put some modern rubber on em,raise the rear ride a tad and pipe and jets to finish and they fly......but ugly
Paul Hitchings The page you put a link to above is totally f*d up with the stats .. The pic is a nice example of the bike, but the tech info is wrong in so many places .. 4 cylinder engine - not single .. SACS Oil cooled - not air .. 6 Speed CM w/ Wet Clutch - not 5 .. etc etc etc ..
Daz Lucas I just did a shock swap with an R6, threw in some RaceTech springs, seals and bushings in forks, new bearings all around, and full LED conversions .. It's got nostalgic sexiness with modern ride !! #LOVINMYGSXF
Old motors definitely bring mechanical issues, but I'm gonna run myne til she explodes beneath me .. I'm trying to pick up a newer L4+ GSXR 750 or 1 liter this summer, and the Kat will be reserved for nostalgic rides on weekends, but I'm keeping it around til it blows - may even just replace the powerplant at that point .. Hard to find that "Elegance in Simplicity" with many bikes, so it's more than just a bike to me ..
Loving the CBR600F, but not sure what you're proving here. You are getting your knee down a lot more on the CBR and carrying a lot more speed through the corners through rider skill. Now - swap bikes and I bet he won't keep up in your CBR either.
LG ;)
750f has rubber bushings on peg mounts and handle bar mounts to isolate vibration making it more difficult to corner hard(spungy). the 600 gsxf would be a better challenge its rigid. i own both i know what i am saying . actually i have the 600cbr also. the cbr is better on high end over 100. 750 will beat it to around 110. the 600f maybe a bike length slower but corner harder and can stay seated. if you want to work hard you can get down on the cbr but alot of energy to get it there and mostly off the seat. thats me experience and i avg. 16 miles a year 4 sets of tires and im not easy on any of them.
