Country Fried "Chicken" - But it's 100% Plant Based

- Who doesn't love Country Fried "Stuff"? Well... now you can have a plant based version using seitan. This recipe is pretty easy and walks you through every step to making the seitan and the gravy!

It took years for me to convert my hubby, but he is finally eating plant based. Years of cooking a vegetarian meal and *ugh* a meat one was wearing me down. I was sneaking TVP and tofu into recipes and he had no idea (hehehe). Then, I started meal prepping plant based lunches for him and he loved them. Nice recipe. I'll try it. Here's a suggestion when making the gravy, dump all the ingredients into the pan instead of the Pyrex mixing bowl since you're not making the roux separately. It saves on cleaning up the mixing bowl and when putting all the ingredients in the pan instead of they Pyrex mixing bowl you're not losing any of the ingredients which would otherwise stick to the Pyrex bowl.
Looks great--always looking for plant based alternatives as I have learned I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the BLV, igf-1 and pesticides in meat. Thanks so much for sharing

If I don't have an oven, can I do this on a shallow frying pan with a minimum of oil?
Yup. You can fry it if you prefer.
