P5: DIY Pressure Pot/Tube (for Resin Casting) | Aka PressureRocket

- If try to cast resin you will soon find out that you will need a pressure pot. But these are big and pricey. If you just want to try it or (like me) are limited in space, this is the video for you ;)
The first version was more of a test. If you want to build one yourself, build the second (PVC-U) version!
Parts Used (PVC-U Version):
- 50 mm Endcap
- 50x200mm Tube
- 50mm to 2" Adapter
- 2" Threaded Endcap
- Car valve (TR414) ebay.to/2Ag4XA1
Tools you need:
- High grid sandpaper (1000 grid)
- PVC-Cement
- Drill/Stepbit 12mm
Disclaimer: If you decide to build this yourself, you are responsible for it's safety! Don't pressure it higher than the rated 10bar / 145 PSI! Use it on your own risk!

In this video I used PVC-U pipes that were specifically designed to handle pressures way above the pressure i use them at. DON'T USE ANY RANDOM PVC PIPE, IT COULD EXPLODE . IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, DON'T DO IT, STAY SAVE.
May i ask you what type of compressor do you use with your rocket?
A standing bicycle pump I got from a dollar store.
@@MakenModify alright thanks for clarification 🙂
Hi! I was looking at your videos and thinking that you must have done hundreds of them but I found out that this channel is quite new, I'm very impressed with the quality and I think it will grow very fast. I was wondering, what is this device used for?
Thank you for your nice words. This device is used for pressure casting resins. By applying pressure while curing you can avoid bubbles ;)
Super video, danke!
Ich habe schon die ganze Zeit nach eine kleine feine 'pressure pot' lösung ohne Compressor gesucht.
Bin jetzt inspiriert. ☺️🥰
You mentioned the 3d printed base is linked in the description. I can not find it or maybe i´m blind. Could you please share the link again? Thanks!
Good point... Can't find the files anywhere anymore... Should be done in fusion but somehow they are no where to be found sorry :/
@@MakenModify Ah thats unfortunate. Do you have maybe the files for the inlay you use getting the molds in and out?
I didn't know that i was looking for this, but as a matter of fact, apparently i was. I just thought a pressure chamber was way out of my reach and would never happen.
Awesome video as always!
Do not use PVC to make air pressure tanks !! I made one and it exploded me to only 2 Pressure Bars. I was lucky and only hurt a finger, but it could have been the face or who knows. It is very dangerous to work with air and use plastic. Buy an 8L painter's pot, it's made of metal and comes prepared for it.
Sorry to hear that and yea definitely true, don't use any random pvc pipe. In this video I used special PVC-U pipes which are specifically made for handling pressure. To all reading this: If you are not sure if you have the right pipe DON'T DO IT!!!1
Can you do a video on you making a round stand to fit into the pressure pot.
Max this was by far the best video for making this. I need to make one as well. Thanks buddy... Where did you get the parts from by the way?
Thank you. I bought my parts at pvc-welt.de. If you really want to do it read the disclaimer, use PVC-U pipes which are pressure rated and don't pressurize it above the specified value! If you search for it there are meanwhile saver designs out there that use garden sprayers. For that you have to fine one with a big enough inlet. Stay save and thx for the nice words ;)
what is the tube made of? acrylic?
What do you have in the rocket to hold your molds?
I liked the end product. What were you casting ?
Artisan keyboard keycaps ;)
link to the base?
Tolles Video! Woher kann ich die Kunststoffteile der Druckkammer beziehen?
Ich hatte meine teile bei pvc-welt.de bestellt. Aber wie gesagt: do it at your own risk.
Klasse gemacht, super Video - kannst Du was zur Pumpleistung sagen?
Super,, besten Dank !!!! Schaue mich mal um.
How do you release the pressure once the cast is done?
Like on a bike or car, just push the knob in the center of the valve
asombroso la mejor que e visto
gracias por las lindas palabras ;)
