    Thanks dude. The manual was pretty sparse in the fill section, didn’t realize I had to enable it per trig haha. Very helpful!

    Dude, thanks so much for putting these out there! Your Rytm series totally rocks! I've been searching for great content like this for awhile and youtube never surfaced your channel. I was lucky to find you via the up next list.

      @@azmotronik Hi is it possible to sequence my ob6 from the electron analog rhythm 2

    • @16Steps
      @16Steps  5 років тому

      @@turfer176 Not really. The Rytm will not send midi out from the sequencer. It does send midi note out from the pads though. So you can't sequence other gear with it, but you can play the pads and have it sound other instruments. It does send midi clock, so although I do not own an OB-6, I think it would be possible to sync it's arpeggiator or sequencer to the Rytm.

    It may not be the most exciting tutorial but id like to see one explaining how projects,patterns and kits are saved. Because im always thinking ive saved it but when i turn it back on all my sounds and samples have changed.
    What am i missing?

    Good explanation! I like the Rytm MK2 but this way of creating a fill is quite a lot of work. And it seems not possible to see in the sequencer buttons which notes are fill only and which are not.

    • @16Steps
      @16Steps  5 років тому

      It can be a lot of work, but as with anything, it gets faster the more you do it. If you hold down the trig, the fill will show (light will invert) on the screen if you are on that page, but it does not show on the buttons. This way of working isn't for everyone, and you are correct in your observation.

    thanx for video. but can one make improvised (or very easily prepared) drum rolls/breaks? i couldn't find a way to do it with performances, with scenes you can do but it's not improvisation when u prepare it along with your pattern, same with fills. any idea or rytm is not for this. to make it clear i mean something like you have in modern psytrance overstuff i.e. Psykovsky with lots of fadeouts(this one is easy), breaks, rolls, doubles etc

    • @16Steps
      @16Steps  3 роки тому +1

      In its own way, yes. You will have to put I bthe work though, ofc there is the full button, you can have the sequence set to switch to any other sequence (momentarily if u like) or set lfo and assign to perf modes. This machine is made to be messed with, especially in a performance setting. There are also drum pads to hit and the rtrig that is assignable to different time signatures

    • @stasasavoidu2255
      @stasasavoidu2255 3 роки тому +1

      @@16Steps thnx for the reply! do u mean that lfo can retrig the oscillator/sample sound? in destination of lfo i couldn't find anything like this. perf for lfo sounds great, but in my opinion it's totally useless on drum machine if it can't retrig the sound. so far only fill works in the direction of drumrolls and breaks improve..or I didn't get it with lfo?

    • @16Steps
      @16Steps  3 роки тому

      @@stasasavoidu2255 assign lfo to sample start, or end with the loop set to on might get you close, or there is also the rtrig to hold when you play the pads, like on older MPCs, not trying to sell you a drum machine though, ARmk2 might not be for you, and that's cool.

      @@16Steps Something I've done that worked with my old DR-5 was to use my Kordbot as a controller, set the arp at a high bpm and played chords that triggered the samples. The Kordbot is a bit wonky where timing is concerned sometimes but with the right combination of kits and arp patterns I did get some useful results eventually.
