Welcome to the channel! It’s never too late to start. My wife and I have been through Benson many times on our way to Tombstone and Bisbee. You’re living in the right place to embrace the prepper life style. I hope you enjoy the mix of content on the channel.
Get your license. You will not regret it. There are so many areas to explore in amateur radio. I’m a day away from recording a video on how to send an email with just a radio-no computer, no internet, no cell. Good luck!
Good tips. I recommend getting a laser cartridge for your firearm. I do a lot of dry fire practice and It can really help. It also makes it not so boring.
You got it. I’m testing out my first mobile rig, a Kenwood D710GA, and will be focusing on its ARPS functionality. First testing it as a base station then as a mobile rig in the Jeep. Stay tuned and thanks for the request.
If you are getting health check-ups, make sure that includes a dental screening and an eye exam. If you need dental work -- get it done before this leads to something worse because there are few things more painful than a dental abscess. If you need to get a different prescription of lenses for your eye glasses, then do that too. You will shoot more accurately if your vision is better. And make sure you are current on your tetanus immunization because if things get really primitive you will get all sorts of cuts and scrapes gathering firewood, crossing over barbed wire fences to hunt or fish, etc.
Excellent ideas. Made all sorts of appointments right after I saw this. Thank you.
Thanks. Glad you found it useful. Nice handle/nickname! Take care.
Amen!! I wish I'd started years ago. I'm glad I found your channel. Fellow rural Arizonan here. Benson area.

Great tip! I have snap caps, but the laser cartridge will make dry firing more interesting.

Great suggestions. Thanks for contributing a bit more detail around health checkups. Best wishes!
