The Duramag 7.62x39 - 28 round mag has been the most reliable mag for me with my BCA 7.62x39 RS charger. The AK47 curve of the magazine is essential with 7.62x39 ammo to feed properly without binding in the mag. I am using the standard BCA lower with BCM B5 furniture. This is my most reliable rifle! Love it!
Thanks for making this review man. Had a spare lower setting around and wanted something cheap to burn up some old 7.62x39. Great video, really happy to have gone this route instead of spending an arm and a leg for another AL
They have deals on them from 76239,556,9mm,40, and the cold hammer-forged barrels ones are only 200 dollars, they only cost 220$ when in season deals, if you keep looking.
I just replaced my BCA 10.5" 7.62x39 upper with a BCA 16" right side charging upper (model 911 ). Mounted on an Aero Precision M4E1 lower with Aero lower parts kit and ALG/ACT trigger & Viltor A5h2 buffer system. First 400rd results. 4 shots to achieve a 50yrd zero. Then 3 shot groups at 25yrds & 50yrds. 25yrds .581" group. 50yrd group was 1.2". Then first 3 shot group at 100yrds was .98" all with the factory flash hider it came with. Me and the range officer couldn't believe it. 4 more 100yrd 3 shot groups resulting in 1.0- 1.5" groups. Then installed a Griffin flash comp and 30SDK suppressor. 25yrd & 50yrd groups were just shy of 1" lower but all same hole. 4 more 100yrd 3 shot groups resulting in just over 1" lower and 1-1.5" groups. Then installed my KGM R30T suppressor. 25yrd and 50yrd groups 1" low & 1/2" left. 25yrds same hole & 50yrd all shots touching. 4 100yrd 3 shot groups 1.25"-1.75" groups. That was with PPU brass case. Shot 5 more different brands of brass case 7.62x39 resulting in 3/4"-1.5" groups at 50yrds and 1"-2" 100yrd groups. My 100yrd groups were consistently no more than a 1/2"-1" higher than my 50yrd groups. All the 25yrd groups were consistently 2.5" low due to sight over bore. The first zeroing shots and groups were with a $149 Firefield RapidStrike SFP 1-6×24 with dingy glass simply to test the capabilities of a true "poverty upper & LPVO build". All subsequent groupings were made with a "still budget" Vortex Strike Eagle II 1-8 in a $125 Riton QD cantilever mount sitting on a $19.99 .5" Leapers UTG Super Slim Picatinny Riser Mount. The Aero lower outfitted BCM SOPMOD furniture cost me more than the complete upper. The observing range officer said it had to be a sampl of 1 fluke. I had to remind him that the 10.5" BCA upper it replaced got put through the exact same testing, and the worst 100yrd grouping out of it was 2.5". And to really rub it in, I took the last 6rds of the best shooting PPU brass and took 2 rapid shots each at 25;50; & 100yrds suppressed ( using my holdovers). That resulted in a 6 shot group that was all touching and .75" tall and 1" wide. Then I followed that up with 15rds of 123gr Igman brass all rapid shots suppressed at 50yrds and that groups was within 2.75" tall and 3" wide. Only problem I've had out of the 2 uppers was the 16" upper handguard was slightly loose after the first 200 or so rds. Removed it checked out the gas block and barrel nut (everything looked good) and reinstalled with blue loctite. Don't know if I simply got lucky on both purchases or not. But I'm thoroughly impressed and few of my local gun range RO's were left quite salty but impressed, after ragging on my "7.62x39 poverty build". Them😢😢😢. Me😅😅😅😅!! Aso, this thing is ejecting brass at 3 o ⏰️ suppressed with absolutely no gas to my face. Right side charging charging handle for the win🏆. Ok. I'm done😅
Got the same upper on sale for 159.00. I waited because the new cold hammer forged barrels pushed the prices down on the Gen 2. Got a right to bear arms extractor(looks like a 6.5 creedmore extractor), stainless steel enhanced firing pin, bravo A5 buffer system, heavy hammer spring, lighter trigger spring and topped it off with a Steiner T432 prism scope. Nice groups with mine 1/2 to 1 MOA at 50 meters.
I have a BCA 7.62x39 right side charger. On a CMMG lower. I used a Black Rifle Arms enhanced firing pin and heavy hammer spring and H2 buffer to get it to cycle and fire. Using a cheap 1.5-8X Barska scope and cheap Walmart bipod, I am getting 2-3 MOA groups at 100 yards and 3-4 MOA at 200 yards. Sufficient, I would say, for a "budget" build.
BCA just ran a deal on the 16'' upper in 7.62X39mm for $199.99. I bought 1 to go on the $99.99 complete lower I bought from them last year. The only downside so far is neither upper or lower came with a magazine so I bought 2 DuraMag C Mags a 10 and a 28 round for it. These are supposed to be the best in feeding 7.62X39mm from and AR platform. I installed a 3lb Timney trigger I got on sale for $129.99. +$5.00 shipping. Total cost with 2 mags, Timney 3lb trigger and all shipping is $474.00. I dont think you can go wrong for that price. I hope it shoots well.
Great video! I’m looking at getting a PSA gen 2 ks47 lower for my BCA upper but I notice that on the description for the lower it says that it will only fit PSA uppers, and I would like to know before I actually pull the trigger on buying (no pun intended)
This is because the PSA Gen2 ks47 is designed to recieve 7.62x39 AK mags and AR mags. Specialized lowers need to be matched to the specialized uppers in order to function without a lot of feeding or extraction issues. I would go with the PSA MOE Magpul AR 15 lower with the polished trigger, and Magpul furniture, if you have a BCA AR 15 Upper. They match extremely well together
Great video! So I can buy the 762x39 upper and use an ar-15 lower and it will work? If that the case that is great. After 8 months would you do it again? Thank you!
Absolutely will do another video further done the road for a longevity test. To answer your question, Yes you can buy a 7.62x39 AR 15 upper and it will match to an AR 15 lower. AK Mags or upper will not work… just a heads up. But a lot of manufacturers make solid AR Mags in 7.62x39
@@americanvikingtesting If I may recommend a video editor, I use MOVAVI and I think it does a pretty good job. I'm still running the 2020 version, I have yet to upgrade because I dont use it enough, but its still nice to have
They take ar mags, a few companies, like palmetto state armory have versions that take ak mags, the uppers and lowers aren't compatible with regular AR-15s though.
Awesome review. What buffer and spring did you use.
Using a PSA Enhanced Buffer Tube and Spring
@@americanvikingtesting so like a H2 buffer?
Just got that upper for $199 and it now sits on a ATI Omni hybrid lower.
Great Set Up

Absolutely agree, Duramags are the way to go with the BCA 7.62x39 AR platforms
Duramag 20 Rd and 28 Rd and 30 Rd great and it's all I buy asc mags are good for 6.8 Rd but not for 7.62, so get duramag or they will not feed right.
"It's a frickin' Box!!!" awesome. My thoughts exactly. Like watching paint dry
Thanks for making this review man.

I agree on the C-Product Duramag. That’s all I run in mine. I prefer the side-charging uppers. Anderson and PSA multi-cal lowers.
How did it work at a distance range.
At a 100 yards it kept a 1 inch grouping.
They have deals on them from 76239,556,9mm,40, and the cold hammer-forged barrels ones are only 200 dollars, they only cost 220$ when in season deals, if you keep looking.

Sounds like a great build
Bca are good quality for rear charging handle with all rifle rounds though, sude charger is dumb really
Side charger is worse than rear charging and cold hammer-forged barrels for 230$ is a steal complete
Got the same upper on sale for 159.00. I waited because the new cold hammer forged barrels pushed the prices down on the Gen 2. Not bad for a budget build. What was the twist rate you got on your BCA upper
2 to 3 moa at 100 is under par. I would get a Faxon barrel or precision load cartridges for that rifle.
I agree bear creek arsenal is a great product

does it shoot the steel case ammo and eject well
Absolutely 💯. Chews through all ammo types well
Where can I buy 7.62 at a decent price? Seeing lots of out-of-stocks and ridiculous prices.
(Ammo, that is. I have the upper.)
Lucky Gunner, Buds Gun Shop, and Palmetto State Armory are my go to online places. When one is out I go to the others
On-line…various search sites. Also, try your local gun boards.

This upper and the psa ks47 lower so it takes ak mags
We did the AR Lower and AR upper from BCA so it takes AR15 7.39x39 mags on this build
@@americanvikingtesting nice. Those are so expensive though lol
I like your video man, but can you turn the music down a bit in the future

Duramag stright up . Asc garbage yes sir. Stoner mags are good. D&H ok as well
Almost everything else but asc is better than asc
What mags do you suggest?
Duramags all day long. Have not had one issue with them at all
@@americanvikingtesting already ordered some, thanks.
On your lower is it running AR mags or is it running AK mags
They take ar mags, a few companies, like palmetto state armory have versions that take ak mags, the uppers and lowers aren't compatible with regular AR-15s though.
7.62x39 AR 15 Mags. AK mags will not seat correctly in a AR platform
You get a lot for your money with BCA .
More BANG for you buck with BCA
Did they ship to your door or do you have to go to nearest gun store?? Looking to get one today please get back to me as soon as possible.
Bear Creek Arsenal mails complete uppers straight to your door. Lowers you’ll need ship to a FFL approved shop.
@@americanvikingtestingthanks again for the info, have a good one

Duramags make a great 7.62x39 AR Mag.
@@americanvikingtesting
Yes it seems that the C Products Defense/ Duramag are said to be the best in 762x39 AR platform.
ASC mags are crap!
Absolutely!
