  • Fat injections gone wrong! Here are some tips as to why problems happen and what to think about when fat grafting. I like to use tiny bits of fat grafting during facelifts and other procedures like the AuraLyft that don’t require the fat to do all the work. I could talk forever about this but I have to get home at some point!

    So, I'm guessing that the more aware a patient is of how and when their fat grows on your body the better off the patient would be.
    When I lose weight it comes off my face and upper body first. When I gain weight I gain on the thighs and hips first, then the stomach and eventually it hits my chest and face.
    So I'm thinking that if I were to go for this, I'd ask the physician to use a few ounces of back fat - which is just developing now at 25 pounds overweight . At my optimum weight my face becomes skeletal - hollow cheeked, hollow at temples - completely gaunt and I age 10 years.
    This has kept me from going to the gym and working out (which I love doing).
    Now I'm thinking I can hit the gym again and lose the weight - ask for a fat transfer from my back to face...and feel a lot better physically and mentally. My knees, hips and ankles will love me for not hauling around this extra weight.
    I just had a vision pop into my head. The doc uses hip or thigh fat - I gain weight and suddenly I have a face like a pumpkin. Yeah...I'm not going to forget this video anytime soon.
    This was a very informative video. It is definitely helping me to make a more informed decision.

    Would you reccomend different doner sites for fat transfer to the face instead of the stomach or hips?
    For example taking fat from a double chin - I imagine that this fat would behave more like the rest of the face. Or what about taking fat from other places that only changed a little bit with weight gain, for example the forearms, would that be a good option? Or is it too difficult to harvest fat from these places?

    As he said, don't come to him. He doesn't answer questions here apparently. I feel I am having issues with the procedures I had done 6 weeks ago. Fat being one, from my abdomen. The other is lumps under my jawline. Wish I'd left my neck alone and just did a V lift there along with face, as my neck wasn't too bad. I feel as though I have swollen permanent glands, more so on one side, under the jaw. I travelled to get it done. I want to cry.

    • @FilouKawasaki
      @FilouKawasaki Рік тому +2

      I'd say it's impossible to foresee how one ages with time and how genetically the fat cells develop. It differs per person and might also differ with the fat tissue area. However, one (the doc) can avoid to overfill the grafted fat and calculate that it might grow with age.
      just my thoughts though.

    • @feyrie
      @feyrie 10 місяців тому +3

      You honestly should be fine, just avoid overfilling if you are concern, and also ask your doctor when can you start massaging your face after the grafting. And talk to them about the safety procedures they have for fat grafting.
      Facial massages aid in the entire clump issue. It hardens when you don’t massage it.
      Your facial fat will behave like all other fat you have on your body except it’s on your face. So if you gain weight or eat something salty, it’ll bloat or (and with noticeable weight gain it’ll get bigger, kinda like how my face is like rn and I never even had fat grafting done lol). Otherwise facial fat grafting lifts up sagging skin, and you’ll look youthful. And you’ll continue to age… and as you age, fat on your face depletes again, the lack of facial fat will be the reason the skin on your face sags because the support isn’t there anymore. So maybe a decade down the line you’ll need more done. But it depends on how fast your skin ages facially and if you take care of your skin. So wear your sunscreen and don’t smoke and drink. Try to keep a STABLE WEIGHT. Weight loss on and off also causes skin sag overall when you’re older.
      But yeah, honestly it’s a great procedure imo, there’s people who even pair it with face lipo. So they lipo the undesired spots and then fat graft up the parts that’ll rejuvenate them.

    How did we get here as (mostly) women? This guy sits there in his 💲💲💲car and spews off all this information so fast that it’s difficult to fully understand, plus after awhile it starts to sound embarrassingly ridiculous!! I’m a woman of a certain age struggling with this whole aging thing, but all this strategic and confusing anti-aging hubbabalu just makes me shake my head and wonder how we all got sucked in to this ever growing industry. Botox and filler have met my face favorably and not so favorably (the not so has been devastating), but truly, as women, I think we’ve become unrealistic about aging. I wish this doctor, who apparently does not respond to comments after his “know it all with a touch of arrogance” delivery, would perhaps consider addressing his followers about feeling almost guilted into these types of procedures these days that he discusses. I’d love to hear it from his point of view.

      How you feel about his industry is not his responsibility, only to know what he's doing and do it well. I understood him fine. I know right? It feels like a hamster wheel where we are always chasing some type of perfection or at the very least satisfaction with ourselves but we never get there. And thats what the industry feeds on: the illusion that the total satisfaction and near perfection is achievable but in reality it only seems to get further and further the more we chase it. It really is up to us to change that within ourselves, though. It will never be a doctor’s or anyone else’s job to make us feel satisfied with ourselves
      A piece of advice: get out of social media altogether if you can. Or at the very least curate carefully what type pf content gets to you. After I completely left instagram, a lot of my insecurities literally went away bc I was no longer being bombarded with photoshopped bodies and filtered faces and comparing myself to them. At one point I seriously considered getting a bbl. Booked the surgery and everything. But it eventually fell through (thank God!) and now it doesn’t even cross my mind anymore.
      I gotta do the same with youtube now and curate what type of content I see here.

    • @feyrie

      I’m being real here, the fat will behave like how normal fat does. If you eat something high in sodium you will swell, if you gain weight, obviously the fat cells will expand and your face will look bigger. So start working out. Get toned. If not,
      It sounds like maybe you got an overfill if you are describing it to be so massive?
      I’m sure if you return to your doctor to explain the concerns, they can fix it for you.

      Fat grafting permanently adds volume and does the opposite of sagging the face. So it lifts your skin when you get it done and you’ll enjoy it for a very long time…. But you’ll still age, you’re human after all. As you continue aging far down the line, the facial fat will deplete again and this will cause the appearance of skin sag (aka you’re still aging) so the fat isn’t even sagging overtime, it’s the LACK of the fat being present there as you age,the fat is holding things up, so your skin drops aka sags.
      So you can either get fat graft again or a face lift or both
