  • This is a must watch test to see if PUREPOND live bacteria by Evolution Aqua really can help your koi pond biological filter to remove ammonia and nitrite. It also tests NT labs live bacteria.
This is a must watch for anyone who is looking to mature their koi or goldfish pond filter from scratch or who is needing to enhance their current filter in order to reduce ammonia and nitrite levels.

Excellent video. These types of experiments do help to build up a picture exactly what these products do. I really like your approach.

Cool experiment and neatly done. Thanks for doing this. I hope more to come.
I think the control should have also been aerated too. Also it would be been neat have done a bonus jug that is super aerated to see if ammonia can be gassed out of the solution.

Yes good point. Given that you can smell ammonia i too wonder how much can be gassed off. I'll have a second run and test some other things as well

Very interesting video, however very low sound volume let it down, still worth a thumbs up though.

A mature filter media is clearly best but obviously not a ‘rescue’ option

Camera movement is quite horrible. I do appreciate the effort though, so thanks.
