Allan Turing is one of the best, yet saddest gay stories. He saved untold thousands of lives, and was persecuted later in life.

Just imagine how much further along computer science could have been if Turing wasn't chemically castrated and ostracized to the point he no longer wanted to live.

Thanks, Eduard. Amazing presentation as usual. Very sad, what happened to some very brilliant people.

In recent years,Turing's story has been revaluated. For those who haven't, I recommend watching The Imitation Game (B. Cumberbatch plays Turing). It's my understanding that the movie is pretty accurate.

Yes one video i do know the storys i believe there was one group of Greek soldiers that were gay couples the idea if one fell the other would protect. The romans it was mostly an older man and a younger that was acceptable. The one from the enigma machine was pardened after his death i believe there is a sort of monument for him in my home town where he was born.

The Greek soldiers were referred to in the video - The Sacred Band of Thebes.

In Ancient Greece, I believe that women were for reproduction, but men were for love/pleasure.
I work with a gay chap whose gay history is shocking! 😱. He didn’t know who Sylvester was or what Polari was - I’m surprised they haven’t suspended his Gay Mans license 😳🤣. I’m going to point him in the direction of your channel.

Alexander the Great had homosexual relations and he allowed conquered peoples to retain their beliefs and cultures. Isn't it ironic that if not for a gay man, Christianity would not exist today.
Jesus lived by actions, not preaching to condemn. Organized religion is a business, it is about making money and gathering resources. You do not need a "building" to have a relationship with God. ⛪
🙏🏻When we pray, it is us talking to God and when we read 📖the Bible, it is God talking to us. Remember that God is not a vending machine. All prayers are answered, but sometimes the answer is No, or not yet.
God's timing is perfect, always, so if are reading this post, KNOW that You are Loved by God and HE does not make mistakes. Let HIS word be a lamp unto your feet and light your path!
And for the Trolls, Haters, and Wackados, may the Holy Spirit fill your heart and lift you up so you can see the the truth, the light, and the way.
